We had a great time staying on the bus, we had everything we needed, the AC was great, so cold on one of the hottest days, and seeing the animals and the garden brought much joy. Plus, I always love an outside shower!

We couldn't of asked for a better weekend here. The host are super friendly and available if needed. We love the animals that roam freely throughout the day. The outdoor shower is hot with great water pressure. We had 2 adults and a child and it was the perfect amount of space. We spent alot of our time visiting the stock tank pool which was perfect for entertaining our 5 year old. I would recommend this camping adventure to anyone.

The bus and farm are one of a kind. Very comfortable sleeping by quarters (we stayed cool in the 95 degree heat) and quiet environment. Excellent location just 25 minutes from Nashville; hour and a half from Cummins Falls. Overall a must visit!

This was our second year to stay on the Bus. My two boys are absolutely enchanted with this place, and I love it, too. A peaceful and interesting refuge from city life. Gabi and Jacob’s love and dedication to their land and animals really shine and they are brilliant hosts. We can spend hours watching the ducks and goats and guinea fowl while sitting at the table on the bus. Sleeps 3 comfortably. The outdoor shower is the best part! Good vibes only. <3

If you're looking for a peaceful, unique, unplugged getaway from life's stressors and monotony, recharge with a stay at The Bus at Rancho de Barnes. My boyfriend and I are avid travelers and adventurers. I am all about finding something eclectic and out of the ordinary. What Gabi and Jacob have created on their sweet little homestead tops them all! The outdoor shower was hot and refreshing after a long day hiking, the bus was clean, artsy, and comfortable, the farm animals sweet and entertaining, and the atmosphere peaceful and inviting. Don't forget to add on the Rancho eggs...a delicious must! Thanks, Gabi and Jacob...Looking forward to our next stay with you! :)

What a great little get away! Was so nice to enjoy the extreme peace and quite by the fire pit. I’m sure anytime we need a quick and simple place to escape, this won’t place will definitely be on our list! Thanks a bunch!

My wife and I stayed for a couple of nights and really enjoyed ourselves. I was apprehensive at first because I’m a big guy and staying in a bus isn’t really ideal for me but she loves buses and was right at home. It quickly grew on me and I really enjoyed the bus, animals, and fires we had. It was so peaceful and quiet the whole time we were there. The hosts live nearby but stay to themselves unless you’re in need of something. We only ever seen them out a couple of times feeding the animals or working in their garden. As soon as we got back home we had friends asking about our stay and we’ve recommended they check it out for themselves. We made breakfast over a fire and dinner on the gas camp stove. Overall such a great experience for some alone time with my wife away from our normal busy lives. Only about 20 minutes away from downtown Nashville so you get the best of both worlds with that! There’s also a very convenient Dollar General about five minutes down the road.

We absolutely loved our stay—Gabi and Jacob have created such a lovely space and experience. The bus had a charming, minimal feel but with all the necessary essentials. The outdoor space around the bus feels spacious and private; the pool and outdoor shower will amazing perks, and we loved getting to see the animals each day. Gabi and Jacob are great hosts and gave us our space, but were also lovely to chat with. We can’t wait to come back!

I cannot wait to head back to Rancho de Barnes! The animals are so sweet and cute. You could just watch them play all day. It is a very quiet location with everything you need. The lights outside and firepit are perfect for a chill night and the bus was nice and cozy. Love the thoughtful touches, and all of the art pieces, inside and out, were awesome.

We had such a wonderful experience staying at the bus at Rancho de Barnes! The late spring weather was perfect for a visit. The bus is super cozy and has everything you could need for a few days away (including towels, shampoo, conditioner, and soap) and there were lots of great places to sit and catch up on some reading. Loved hanging with the goats and chickens too. Hope to be back for another visit soon!

Absolutely unforgettable experience. We felt like we were somewhere far far away in a secluded dreamy oasis, even though it’s only 30 min from downtown Nashville!

The bus was such a unique and cozy stay for me, my partner, and our dog. We loved it! I was very glad to have reserved firewood and iced coffee and so impressed with the amount of kindling they provided! Wish we could’ve met Gabi and Jacob but that just means we’ll have to return after COVID. Thanks for hosting us!

This place was amazing. Everything was how it was described. The only thing I didn’t realize was that the hippie bus was in their yard basically, but I never saw the owners. You have the option to choose if they’re involved or not and we didn’t see them at all during our stay. They have a little farm with ducks and goats and chickens and it was all just a beautiful space to getaway. We cooked over the fire and showered outside, made s’mores, and made a great memory. I would definitely recommend and come back!!! 10/10

This was a really cool and unique stay. We had a great time hanging out with all the animals - what is that not a chicken not a turkey!? The outdoor shower felt amazing after a full day of climbing up at King's Bluff in Clarksville which was less than a 30 minute drive from the bus. After camping the previous three nights in the Smokies, it was nice to be able to use a stove! We even learned how to play Flinch which is way easier than the directions make it seem. Thanks Gabi and Jacob!

This was an amazing find! Loved the look and feel of the bus. Everything worked as anticipated and the outside shower was a bonus. It was chilly but the wood stove worked really well. We weren’t as far away from the host home as we thought, but it was fine! Haven’t used a compost toilet before but we figured it out! Would recommend! Loved the board games onsite as well

Such an awesome spot! Would definitely recommend for anyone who wants a few steps cozier than traditional camping. A nice little getaway, but still close to Nashville. Comfortable and equipped with all the amenities you need. Make sure to add the eggs when you check out, they were real tasty.

Truly had the most amazing time here. Suggested it to at least 5 friends before even leaving the property. Came for my anniversary and I couldn’t think of a more lovely way to spend time with someone. The hosts are as sweet as can be, the property is beautiful and isn’t lacking in cool art or animal friends to hang around. Like camping, but cozier.

It was quite lovely. The idea anyway. I knew going into it that it was pretty close to camping with the compost toilet and all. What I couldn’t get over was the intense water damage smell inside the trailer.
