Mountain Ranch RV Park - Site 4 PT
Great little spot in the countryside to listen to nature and get a good nights sleep. The incoming road is a bit steep so be prepared for that, but it doesn't alter the peace and quiet around you!! Easy access to get set up and settled I . All connections are quick access and ready to go. Great hosts.

Thomas went above and beyond to make our stay a great one. His sites are clean and level and have everything we needed. This was the first time we took out our used fifth wheel and we had (of course) some problems. Thomas not only notified us of a problem he saw while we were out…he stayed up and helped us troubleshoot and fix it when we got back to the camper that evening. He even loaned us a fan and dehumidifier to help us recover from some water damage. We’ve travelled in an RV before and stayed in various parks with varied amenities, but this was outer forest time in a hip camp. He did not disappoint! All in all, I could not think of a better place or host for travelers. First time RVers would do well to stay here. Thanks Thomas! Five stars!

Mountain Ranch was a nice respite from the super overcrowded Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge area which is about a 45 minute drive including traffic. Nice views of the smokies and a great place to call home base while visiting the local area. Tom is a gracious host who checked in on us during a night of wildfire threats and 60mph+ winds. Look forward to staying here again whenever we’re in the area 😊.

We stayed a month at site 4 and had the best time! The location is perfect if you’re wanting to be in the middle of smoky mountains, Asheville, Knoxville, pigeon forge, and gatlinburg. Tom and Tammy were so kind our entire stay and treated us very nice. They hosted a bonfire/potluck for the campground. It was quiet + peaceful on our site with a nice view and a lot of trees. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again here in the future. Thank you!

Beautiful property to setup at, we found Cosby park nature trail which was so beautiful and the best food was at Big Boy County Kitchen!!!
If your riding heavy, definitely hit the gas hard at the very bottom of the hill. We have a 45ft rig with a Razor 4 seater in the garage so just hit it hard lol.. loved riding the razor all around, thanks!!!

Enjoyed the area, directions were clear. All transactions done electronically and with a prompt response. Gravel site, easy to level. Small local tavern in the neighborhood. We’d definitely use this quant out of they way RV Hipcamp in the future if traveling through Newport!

We stayed three nights in site 1 in a 26 foot travel trailer. The campground was easy access off of I-40, quiet, close to the foothill parkway and the Cosby entrance of the Smoky Mountains National Park.

Simple no frills, inexpensive spot to sleep. Full hook ups, not to far from Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, or Panther Creek State Park. Found a cool local place called Annie’s Pork & Beans. A friendly little local bar called Dean’s Place. Not far from a Walmart. No WiFi but good cellphone service.

This location worked out well for us for a two week stay. Thomas had great communication with us advising the best way to back in and depart our site which was site 1. It was a little tight for our 38’ fifth wheel backing in and departing, but my husband was able to get it done. Accessibility to the comforts of town was close by, but the site location was within a rural neighborhood that was relatively quite with a slight increase in traffic at the end of the work day. We loved watching the neighborhood squirrel try to cross the street everyday while the birds would attack him! Not sure what those birds were protecting, but the squirrel was persistent.

We were at site 4 for a week. Easy pull through with great access from Route 40. Good water pressure. Great T-Mobile service. Excellent privacy at site 4. Other campers were quiet and respectful. 40 minutes to Gatlinburg. Newport Community Center is $1 per day to enjoy all its amenities.

Thomas was an excellent host, and this was an excellent spot! Great place to stay if you are looking to visit Gatlinburg, Pidgeon Forge, or the Great Smoky Mountains. The park itself has an excellent view of the mountains down the road, and is less than an hour from all the popular attractions. It only has 4 spots (and all are FHU!) so you will never have to worry about having tons of neighbors. We felt very safe here in this quiet neighborhood. Spots 3 and 4 are excellent for larger RVs. We were able to wiggle our 30ft trailer into spot 2 with little trouble, and Spot 1 is best for conversion vans and class Cs at this point. We were supposed to stay there originally, but after a lot of wiggling and trying not to hit the garden, Thomas was amazing with letting us switch spots. We enjoyed staying in spot 2, and had a perfect amount of space. There is even a new parking lot over on the side of the park so you don't have to clutter your space with your vehicle -- and it's only a few steps further away, unlike larger parks. The local grocery store was only 10 mins away- Walmart, 10 mins away. And you can't beat the price for this growing area of popularity in Eastern Tennessee. Definitely stay with Thomas, you can thank me later!

Awesome spot close to alot of attractions, and Walmart and lowes 5 minutes away. Brand new with full hook ups. Stayed in site 4 which fit our 45ft toy hauler just fine. Steep hill right before getting to the spot so just be aware if you're loaded heavy. But other than that we loved it
