Our property is located in an agriculture-based county, surrounded by large working farms. It’s quiet and peaceful, yet only 45 minutes from the bright lights of Broadway in Nashville! • 40 minutes to Oak Grove Gaming Casino • 45 minutes to Fort Campbell Army Base • 15 minutes to Springfield, Tennessee There’s a small pond on the property — perfect for a moment of reflection. You can also take short hikes around the land to stretch your legs and enjoy the fresh country air. There are plenty of historic sites within a few miles, most notably the Bell Witch Cave, featured in numerous ghost-hunting TV documentaries. It’s said to be the site of the only known fatality caused by a ghost in the U.S. Other nearby attractions include: • Port Royal • Trail of Tears State Park • Dunbar Cave Looking for something different? Try Nashville Horse & Goat Yoga or zip lining at Honeysuckle Hill Farm. If you’re in the mood for a scenic stroll along the Cumberland River, visit McGregor Park and the Riverwalk, just 30 minutes away. While you’re there, enjoy a delicious meal at Liberty Park Grill, overlooking the river and marina. And don’t miss the small farmers’ markets that pop up all around our county — a great way to experience local flavor and community charm.Prepare to exhale! You're in the country now. The pace is slow and the air is fresh. Welcome to James Place Farm, your home for the duration of your visit. Bring your fully-contained RV or camper and sit a spell! We don't have public restrooms on the farm. Your hosts live on-site just up the driveway about 100 feet. If there is anything you need, we are seconds away. Your privacy and comfort are our first priority. We have walking trails through brambles and goldenrod, sweetgums and maple tress. There is a seasonal pond for catch and release fishing. You will have a propane fire pit or enjoy a real wood fire in the metal pit. With very little ambient light, you'll enjoy staring up at the stars through the trees. Listen for an owl calling in the woods! We do have chickens but without that noisy rooster, they stay pretty quiet. If you'd like to buy a few eggs and as long as the girls are cooperating, it can be arranged. Once you've had farm-fresh eggs, you will have a hard time going back to your grocery store eggs. The farm is tucked between fields of corn and cows. We grow a lot of our own vegetables in the summer and enjoy them all winter long. The natural ebb and tide of the seasons dictates most of our activities much like the early residents of Robertson County. There is Shade Tree Orchard just a mile west for blueberries, apples, and apple cider doughnuts as the seasons allow. A few miles east is Head's Farm. They host events throughout the year and their farm store is open for produce, jams, tomato products, meat, local dairy, and a lot more! If you're lucky enough to visit while one of our county's farmers markets or seasonal festivals, you can't miss those! You will see how the country folks get down! Be sure to check out the Bell Witch Cave just a few miles away in Adams for a spooky adventure! We hope to see you real soon!
