We have a small 2 acre "Non-Smoking" hobby farm. We have a 1/4 acre garden, and have 50-60 chickens. Our family includes 4 cats and 2 dogs. We are about 3 miles from Falls Creek Falls State park. It has a 250 foot waterfall, miles of hiking trails. We have several spots for dry camping and several with 15 amp electric and water.

Pitch a tent or pull your RV in. 3 miles from Falls Creek Falls State Park. It has a 250 foot waterfall and miles of hiking trails. Water is available at the barn. 30 & 15 amp 110 electric for a charge of $5.00 per day. We also have fresh produce from our garden for sale when in season. We have a fire pit for relaxing in the evening. Good view of Tennessee sunsets. We have 2 sites with 30 amp hookups and water, and one with 50 amp and water. Electric and water is $10.00 per night. We also have a dump station for $5.00 per dump. 2 tent sites have 15 amp electric available.

Kurt was extremely helpful and was a wonderful host. Site was well taken care of and was a very peaceful setting. Would definitely recommend and use again.

Kurt was incredibly helpful. We had a few things that went wrong with our rv and Kurt was very available to help. We offered him some money to help and he would not take what we offered. Kurt and Maria are amazing hosts. I can’t recommend them enough. There place was only a few miles outside of fall creek falls state park which we could not get a reservation in. In my opinion Howland’s hideout was much better than staying in the park Plus we got to hang out with sassy and star. Their dogs. Amazing

Kurt and Maria are wonderful people. I had two water leaks in our motorhome upon arrival. Kurt took the time to help me get parts and even soldered a cracked copper water line within the on demand water heater. We were up and running less than 24 hours and got to enjoy Fall Creek Falls which is only a few miles from their Hip-camp. Visited with Kurt and Maria every evening and had fun conversations. If we ever get back to that area we will be looking them up. Thanks Kurt and Maria

What a great experience. Our first hip camp. The site was great, tucked back enough to feel free, close enough for electric and wifi. Kurt was a great host, he and Maria offered fresh veggies from the garden and lovely bread and muffins (at a small fee of course). We had a great time and will stay here again. If there was one thing I would criticize is the very bright outdoor light. It took a little away from the dark night camping experience. It wasn't able to be turned off and unfortunately took a little away from the campfire ambiance and the ability to shoot star shots. Looking forward, however, for another stay at Howie's Hideout. Thank you to Kurt and Maria.

Great spot! The owners, Kurt a Maria and Star, their lovely German shepherd were very attentive and accommodating. Highly recommended!

Kurt was very nice and helpful. I enjoyed my stay and it was very close to Fall Creek Falls state park without all the crowd and noise of the state camp sites.

We had a wonderful time on Kurt’s property! Host was very helpful, the sunset was beautiful, and very friendly dogs! I personally really enjoyed the fire pit. Thank you Kurt!
