Great Smoky Mountain Hippie Camp
The camp provided everything we wanted. It was close enough to Pigeon Forge to be convenient, yet fairly secluded. The water, sewer and power were great, and even WiFi access. There's a nice fire pit area with chairs and games. The road up is kind of steep and a little tight, but we made it fine pulling a 19" trailer. The lot is sloped a bit, so bring some decent levelers if you need them. There were a few cement blocks there, which helped. Overall, we we very happy with the setup and will definitely be back.

Great Smoky Mountain Hippie Camp
The wife and I loved it. Although you could hear people from nearby houses, it still felt private. Beware of the driveway if you’re in a car. There was a spot that i was thankful to have a truck and my camper is an off-road edition or I would not felt comfortable driving across it. The large rut was due to wash from heavy rains. Once at the site. The area was tight to maneuver a 20’ camper around. Overall we look forward to returning.

We had a great time at the Hippie camp! The site was clean and spacious. It was convenient to all the attractions and GSMNP but felt very secluded. Water, power, internet, and sewage dump all as advertised! Definitely plan on staying when in the area.

Great Smoky Mountain Hippie Camp
This was a great and private site. As others have said, the layout was a bit tricky. We wished the gavel and utilities reached back to the cozy fire pit, but a larger group would probably like being more spread out. It was also hard for us to reach the water and electric as we were trying to stay on the most even part of the parking area (the larger gravel parking area was pretty slopped) and our pop up tent would have hit the electrical wire above if we were any closer. (See picture). So we relied on our solar and never plugged in. Our trailer is only 13 ft and turning around was tricky. We knew this from other reviews, but the driveway was a bit washed out and steep, so 4 wheel drive was necessary. If you know these in advance, this is a great place to stay.

Great Smoky Mountain Hippie Camp
This was an excellent place to camp. Very close to Smoky Mtn Nat’l Park (as well as Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge for those that desire that type of experience). The land was private but not isolated (there were folks a good ways down the road). Directions were clear. Olivia was responsive. We loved the lights, fire ring, and yard games. We tent and RV camp frequently and this was a much better experience than any campsite we’ve stayed at given its amenities and privacy. Would definitely recommend if you are in the area.

Really quiet spot with lots of green space surrounded by trees, with a relaxing fire pit area. Host provided firewood for the fire pit (was wet from rain, but still appreciated!) The chairs and solar lights were comfy/cute and we talked about copying the setup for our yard at home. The approach did have some limbs that scraped the side of our RV (someone else mentioned this so we knew) on the approach road. It’s a narrow road so there really wasn’t a way to avoid them. Once there, we had just enough room to get into the spot (20ft class c Rv). We did struggle a bit to get level. Super fast wifi and no issues with using the hookups, though they were kind of spread out, so we had to move the rv to reach the sewer as we prepared to head out. Overall we would recommend and will be back!

Great Smoky Mountain Hippie Camp
This was a great site overall and is well represented in photos.
The only drawback is the poor limb management that prevented us from using a large part of the gravel road present for turning and positioning the camper.
We have a shorter camper at 23'6" but a long tow vehicle (Chevy 2500 Crew Cab Long Bed pickup) around 22'.
If the limbs were pruned appropriately on the campsite road (not even talking about the long approach road, just the gravel road/drive area that very clearly belongs to the campsite) hugging the right side of the road with a sharp left turn may have been possible to then allow us to back into the site. Unfortunately there were many limbs that were protruding onto the gravel road, some low enough to touch by hand and others that would hit any vehicle/camper. The problem is exacerbated by the fact that even if your drive path doesn't make you contact the branches, a tight turn will push your camper or truck into them.
As it was, we had to do a very complicated multi step process to get turned around the correct way.
I would not recommend this site if you are solo, unless you have a short tow vehicle and short camper and are confident you can turn around in a very tight space by yourself. I would not recommend arriving to this site at night or near sunset. You need to give yourself a solid hour of real sunlight to get set up.
Very little of the parking/driving area is level, which adds to the complexity of arranging the camper and tow vehicle.

Beautiful secluded site close to Gatlinburg/Pigeon Falls/Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Host very responsive -reached out to request shifting my stay by a day. Olivia responded back immediately and was kind enough to help me out! Highly recommend and I will definitely stay here when in the Gatlinburg area!

Great Smoky Mountain Hippie Camp
We had a lovely Thanksgiving weekend at this private, wooded campsite. The fire-pit setup is cute, but we didn’t get a chance to enjoy it since we were busy hiking and exploring Pigeon Forge, which is just 15-20 minutes away.
The site is tucked away off the beaten path, offering plenty of peace and quiet. However, it’s a tight spot for turning around, making it best suited for tent campers or small campers. Since this was our first experience with a private campsite, we learned we needed longer hoses and extension cords. The water, electricity, and sewage hookups are spaced farther apart than what you’d typically find at state or RV parks. In the picture, you can see the water hookup (circled), with electricity to the bottom right and sewage to the bottom left.
We had to move our camper back and forth a few times to find the sweet spot where both our water hose and electric cord would reach the hookups, but once we got set up, the rest of the trip was smooth and enjoyable!

Great Smoky Mountain Hippie Camp
We loved how private the site felt! The fire pit with the stringed lights, they even left us a little wood and some yard games! Perfect open area for our dogs to play. The only issue is when we how small the turn around is if you have an RV. We have a smaller one at 21 feet with a van. Very tight to turn around, put a bit of a damper at first trying to figure that out, but once we did everything else went smoothly. We heard some russling in the woods each night, which I’m sure was a bear. We’re local and used to it, but if you’re a tourist, just be aware and stay away from them. Loved the spot and would camp here again! We’d maybe just pull our camper with our smaller vehicle or tent camp. VERY tight roads to get to the spot. Thanks again!

The private mountainside spot was a spacious, peaceful camp site. Olivia has gone the extra mile to create a welcoming space with the cool fire pit area, some games and full hookups! She was quick to respond to questions. We were towing a 23’ Airstream, and have years of experience. The steep gravel lane leading to the site, and the way the RV site was laid out was a bit of a challenge for maneuvering a rig that size. The site is more suitable for travel trailers under 20’ or small Class B rv’s

We enjoyed the spacious, private mountainside retreat. The site was well-maintained, and having full hookups was a plus. Olivia was very quick to respond to questions. We were towing a 23’ Airstream, and the steep gravel lane leading up to the site was a bit challenging. Getting turned around to go back down was even more difficult because of the electric pole, the sewage site and the steep uphill and downhill slopes. It would be fine for small motor homes and towables under 20’, but I don’t recommend anything larger.

Great Smoky Mountain Hippie Camp
Awesome spot. Easy to find but felt private, easy to access everything the Smokies and Pigeon Forge have to offer.
Great amenities (fire pit! connect 4! fast wifi! all hookups! pets!) and Olivia was super communicative and helpful when needed.
Will absolutely stay here again when we’re back in the area!

This site was a single set up just as described on the app. On arrival it was spotless. Communication through the app was prompt and helpful. The fire pit sitting area was a nice added feature. The driveway was just a small climb to get up to the site. We found it with no trouble at all. We did scrub on some low hanging limbs going in and out, our Airstream is right at 10’ in height. There was no traffic beyond this site so that was nice. We felt like this was a great location because it was not too far out of Pigeon Forge. Nice little area and we would definitely stay again.
