KSJoyâs property was as described and a nice spot to hang out for a couple of days before the busy holiday season kicks in. Full electric hookup. No water this time of year (was just shut off last week). Nice area. Drove around. Followed the hostâs recommendations for local food. Great advice! Had our four dogs with us. The property is close to a fairly busy road so having good recall (or we brought a fencing system) is essential. The road noise Fri-Sun in mid Nov. was not an issue. The host was very communicative and answered all questions but was hands off which we liked. Highly recommend.

Very nice fire pit! Porta potty was clean and the shower was ready to go! I really liked the area so Iâll probably be back to this hipcamp soon.

We grabbed the opportunity for one last (?) nice weekend near the beach and wow did we hit it! 70's , sunny mostly and water clear green & absolutely delicious, clearing on Sunday for another walk with dogs and friends. THANK YOU KS Joy for helping make it happen!!

Perfect if you live around hartford and want a quick getaway spot. Very acominating. Private but not far from food, beaches, and shopping. We got there when it was dark out so it was helpful that all we needed to do was set up the tent, they had everything else you could need there.

We enjoyed staying at KSJoy's land. It was exactly as described. You can hear some road noise due to the closeness of the road but because of the home on the property, it's still very private. Our dogs enjoyed being off leash and there was a good amount of room for them to roam around. If in the area we would not hesitate to stay again.

Despite being right off of the highway, the site was very quiet and felt incredibly private as well! The fire pit was lovely, and our host was very responsive to questions over messages, and I'd absolutely consider staying here again.

Quiet, private backyard with everything we needed for a one night stay passing through town. Lovely trees, easy to find, and our dog enjoyed having a lawn to stretch his legs a bit.

I love the variety of camping styles you can have on KSJoyâs property. I have hammock camped, tent camped and will absolutely be back for a car campout soon. There is a gorgeous, rustic stone fire pit that I havenât used yet but may on my next trip. The onsite bathroom is a welcome amenity. The yard is beautiful. There is a bit of distant road noise but it does not detract from the peaceful surroundings. I already canât wait to come back. Five stars all the way⌠if there was a star rating đ

Very clean campground with a great dog runner for our pup. We had an amazing 2-day stay, and the shower was definitely the highlight. Highly recommend.

Wanted to meet up with friends in between where we live and NYC and it was the perfect distance. Super nice outdoor shower and very cool fire pit. Also perfectly centralized where you can either go to a beach or a walk in a state forest. Donât recommend tent camping as I-95 gets very loud at night and the main road next to the house can be loud as well. Otherwise had a lovely time.

Calm and serene place with everything to make a camping stay easy and thoroughly enjoyable. A quick drive to the beach or Westerly to grab supplies. We relaxed, had a late eve fire in the firepit and cooked great meals on the grill.`It was our first HipCamp experience and it was perfect in our new mini camper. The birds singing in the morning throughout the woods.. priceless and soooooo much better than a phone alarm! THANK YOU!

It was exactly what we needed. Our dogs are a little reactive and this was secluded enough that they were able to relax and have a good time. It's pretty close to the road, but the road wasn't busy. It was very nice to be able to chill by the fireplace with the dogs and just be. Highly recommend!!

We had a wonderful time at this private, peaceful campsite. The shady space and surrounding forest were perfect to feel away from it all. The outdoor shower and portapotty made our first time RV camping a breeze. We brought our dogs, and they loved chilling in the yard with us on the leads. KSJoy was super helpful and welcoming, and helped us get situated when we arrived. Would happily camp here again.

This was a return trip for us to ksjoyâs spot &it gets better every time.She is clearly a host that takes pride in what she does. From start to finish, she made sure we had everything we needed. She even has a stand for things one might need like propane tanks, firewood etc.
Her location is fantastic too, its right off the highway and close to literally everything including grocery stores, the beaches, mystic seaport, newport and so much more.
What really makes this spot so special is while being so close to all the things to do, it still has perfect seclusion, its like a oasis. Even being just off the rd, your far enough back that its nothing but silence back there.
This spot is perfect for someone tent camping to one staying in a large rv such as us. She offers a grill for cooking or a outdoor shower for oneâs that need it. We easily back our 36â 5th wheel in and park it in a manner where its just us and the woods. The home up front is vacant and been so for some time so you get all the privacy one could ask for. We have a 1 year old who loves to move and the property is exactly what someone with kids would want.There is a big circle path we run laps chasing the dog with our son in his stroller. There is a 30amp electrical hookup along with good well water hook up too. My wife and I our hard to please when it comes to sites but this one is 1 of our top 5. In closing, ksjoy is a person that takes pride in her camp and has a special place that one would be lucky to stay at!

We camped in our motorhome at KS Joyâs land for three nights. The yard is lovely. Surrounded by woods with singing birds and very private. The yard is very well maintained, and there is an outdoor shower and an outdoor privy. Thereâs 30 amp pole, which you may use and move about the yard at will. The location is extremely convenient to the Connecticut coast, including Mystic and the historic Seaport.
The only possible negative is that the house is off a busy road, and there is some road noise. Overall, a wonderful place to stay..

Amazing spot. We brought three dogs and they had plenty of room. Fire pit was magical as well as outdoor shower! The shower was heaven! The site was completely set up for us when we got there and the owner thought of everything! We are grateful and would stay again for sure. It's kinda close to the road but traffic was barely there and it was close to all beaches and Foxwoods. I'd recommend it to anyone anytime.

This was such a special spot. It is behind a house on a busier street but set back enough that it didn't bother us. It felt like a private little oasis which is exactly what we look for when using Hipcamp. And the outdoor shower was clean and AMAZING after a day hiking around. There was a great set up with a dog run to clip pup to while you're setting up, a table and chairs, and fire pit. 20 minutes to watch hill (head there for sunset!). Great location.

Camping at KSJoyâs property was overall great. We brought our 28ft Airstream and a large truck and was able to back in fine. The property is private with trees surrounding. The non used trailer in the front of the property gives privacy from the road. The large rock fire pit is a big hit for sitting around or even cooking over. It is also convenient to hiking and exploring. Our dog, Tony, also loved being able to use the runner and relax outside.

Absolutely beautiful & spacious yard. I decided to go a little past the main yard beyond the historic looking stone walls and into the forested area for a hammock camp. It truly felt like a secluded spot out in the wild woods. I saw a deer and heard the cries of distant coyotes calling to each other. I loved every moment and will definitely be booking again in the future for a tent campout or a car camp⌠or both đ

Perfect stop for Mystic and Groton

This spot was great for our adventures! My husband had a work conference at New London and my son and I came along for the adventure. This site was under 30 mins from the base and train station making it a great central location. We were able to visit mystic Connecticut (less than 20 mins) Newport RI (1 hour) and Boston (1.5 hours driving and commuter train/ almost 2 hours the day we were dropped off at Amtrak in new London).
Hosts were amazing, 30 amp was reliable. Spot had minimal road noise. The coyotes may serenade you at evening, this is just the joy of Connecticut and proves just how private this spot can be. Highly recommend.
