Located 9 miles east of Bend our 40 acre ranch is full of open fields and juniper forest. We have cows, chickens, geese and ducks that live on the ranch and you will most likely see them roaming around the fields. The nights are quiet with the exception of frogs and crickets and offer a full night sky without light pollution.

*Note this site only will hold Tents, Cars, Van's and tear drop trailers. Travel trailers and RVs will not fit in this spot Secluded shaded grass campsite that opens up into wide open fields on a working cattle ranch. Nine miles east of bend gets you close enough to get anything you need but far enough to see all the stars at night with minimal traffic noise. We are six miles from the Alfalfa Store for all of those essentials, or a tasty burger. The property borders BLM land and there is trail access just down the road. If swimming or fishing is your thing it's only a 20 minute drive to Prineville reservoir and the Crooked river. Note: this is an active ranch so you will hear animals. We have dogs, cows, ducks, geese and chickens on the property.

This is a nice grassy spot overlooking our green fields. 30amp power is accessible from the site. Enjoy the cows as the meander through the fields and the star filled nights filled with croaking frogs.  This site is along our driveway so it is easily accessible by RV's. That being said the spot can be seen from the driveway and occasionally there might be a car that goes by however its not high traffic by any means and most times it will feel very private. Nine miles east of bend gets you close enough to get anything you need but far enough to see all the stars at night with minimal traffic noise. Picturesque and peaceful! This site was clean and well marked. Beautiful ranch and high desert country. Ask about purchasing a jar of their home grown honey!

Mckenzie has put a lot of thought and effort into his ranch and offering a comfortable, welcoming experience. The land itself is beautiful. The ranch dogs are a super bonus! We had a lovely stay and would not hesitate to book again if we come his way.

Farm Fun!

My daughter and I spent a great afternoon and night there after a long day of hiking. We had a large private area with chairs, lights and a water feature. Our host was most gracious. 10/10

Camping with the cows

My daughter and I stayed here after three days hiking. It’s a quiet, spacious spot on green grass, with privacy and a clean bathroom. WiFi was a plus and worked great. Don’t let the title fool you, the cows grazing around with the calves playing were a great part of the experience and not a bother at all. 10/10

We loved this place! So peaceful and pretty. The big area, water feature, luscious grass, cows and geese, stars were amazing - highly recommend. Will definitely stay again when passing through Bend!!!

This was such a delightful place to camp for the night. A little out of the way, but well worth it. We were greeted with such a warm welcome. There was a pond near our site that our kids loved exploring, and they loved seeing the cows when they woke up in the morning. It was so charming and very private. We loved our stay!

A beautiful secluded area. Grass was green and plush. Scenic ranch setting with lights, power if needed, WiFi and potable water. Star gazing was amazing on a clear night.

We had a wonderful experience trailer camping at Makenzie’s ranch. The spot was very easy to access, yet felt very comfortable and private. We appreciated the access to electric hookup and water pump, and the table and chairs set up to eat our breakfast watching the cows in the morning! We would definitely stay here again next time we are in the Bend area!

The place was great. Julie is Mckenzie‘s mother the place that we parked or camp was away from everybody. It was easy access in and out. Be wary of the roundabouts in band lol and we have a 35 foot trailer. It was a level spot we just put our stabilizers out and they even have power and water that you can use as needed And it’s beautiful where they live and very quiet and peaceful. I would definitely go back there again thanks Julie and Mckenzie.

Great stay, host was very accommodating. Beautiful, quiet, space. Cows grazing in the pasture, scent of juniper on the breeze, definitely looking forward to staying here again.

We really enjoyed our stay. It was so peaceful and surprisingly green and lush for being in the desert. This was the prefect place to call home while we were visiting Bend. Mackenzie was also very responsive when we had questions. First time staying at a Hipcamp, but definitely not the last.

Great place to set up your tent and enjoy the cows… probably the best part? Quiet, close to Bend without being too close. Grassy spot. Loved it, will 100% come back again!

We very much enjoyed the RV spot on Mackenzie's land. It was private, and peaceful. It was a bonus to have the porta potty available for use along with water and electricity. The hosts were kind and the dark sky location and camping on a ranch is a great way to go!

I love this place, it’s my 4th time back. It’s quiet, safe for a solo woman camper, and has a beautiful site for tenting (soft grass, shade). There are also additional bonuses - hearing the ducks, geese, and chickens happily living life, the occasional whinny or moo, a whole host of birds, and frogs. IMO - blissful.

I had a great stay on Mackenzie's land. The site was clean, well maintained, and the grass provided a nice surface to pitch a tent on. The tables and chairs were a nice addition. Upon arrival at the property it was well signed where to go. I also enjoyed watching the cows grazing at the adjacent field.

Beautiful setting and so relaxing! The grassy area was a welcome change to dirt and gravel! There was an unexpected walking trail just outside the farm that I was able to explore before I hit the road!

Peaceful Ranch Stay

We had a wonderful experience at this peaceful ranch. The RV spot was private, clean, and well maintained, with easy access to well water, a port-o-potty, and 30-amp electric. They even provided an outdoor table and chairs with an oil lamp, perfect for enjoying the warmer nights. It was so relaxing to stay in the pasture, surrounded by fields, cows, and a few baby owls. The hosts were very friendly and welcoming, making the stay even more enjoyable. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet, scenic spot to unwind.
