Not too hard to find, very quiet and tidy little secluded spot. Would definitely recommend. Someone said they didn't have service back there but I was able to get a few bars throughout the stay.

Great place to stop in our tour of the Western US. Quiet, private and un amongst the trees! Delightful! Super responsive hosts and definitely a place we recommend!

lovely place to stop on my roadtrip! felt very safe and had everything i needed. hosts were very nice and responded quickly as i arrived at dusk and didn’t quite understand the layout - found the lights and all was well! they even came up to check everything that i found everything : ) very nice! something to note, there is pretty spotty signal out there but if you walk out to the main entrance you might get some service with at&t. would camp here again! thanks so much!

We stayed one night during our trip to San Francisco. While we didn’t have the opportunity to fully enjoy the site, it is still a cozy, private, and quiet spot. You can hear the traffic from the road, but it’s not a major issue. The toilet and shower were clean, functioning well, and connected to nature. One downside is the dirt ground; be prepared to get dirt on your gear and your dog. However, the ground conditions are very level and accessible. Additionally, expect very weak or no mobile signal at all.

A wonderful camping location - private, very well maintained and marked. Easy drive to Grants Pass and great Rogue River swim holes. The owners were very responsive and easy to work with. There can be some road noise and a neighbor who occasionally fires guns, but otherwise quiet & peaceful.

The site was beautiful and spacious. Quiet with no neighbors to bother us. The hosts were soooo friendly, accommodating and understanding. My twin toddlers and older children had so much fun exploring.

This campsite was amazing. The bathroom was really clean and upkept. The campsite offered a seperate area for your car, campfire (propane), and your tent. The campsite even had fairy lights, which made it super cute. Both the shower and the bathroom were super close to our site.

Perfectly maintained site with clean amenities! We stopped here for the night on a roadtrip and our toddler loved the opportunity to explore and check out the pond beds (even dry!). Not too noisy and just right!

Beautiful campground. We were the only ones staying there for our night away from the world. I'd stay there again without question. Beware of the cold shower tho! That was a wake-up call. But I'm so glad we decided to stay here for the night on our way back from the Redwoods.

This was a lovely place! It felt private, and close to nature (we even saw a few deer) and had all the amenities we needed. The owners were helpful and immediately helped us with any issues we had. They even had a gas fireplace to use on a nightly basis.

We were only at Wild Azalea for a short while but we had the eco-camp seemingly to ourselves and it was a lovely restful stay! Compost toilet was clean with ample sawdust and toilet paper. We enjoyed the short trail before we hit the road again in the morning. Responsive and kind hosts! Will return again when we are passing through in the future.

Hazelnut Campsite
This campground is beautifully designed, built and decorated. The owners and onsite staff were very friendly and accommodating.
My only disappointment was noise from a nearby county road. I was tent camping in a space designated for RV or tent. I guess it might not be as noticeable in an RV, but in a tent it definitely was. Earplugs might have helped.
I would recommend the tent-only section of Wild Azalea, which is a bit farther from the road and behind a small hill.
My visit was during fire danger season, so understandably no campfires allowed, but there is a propane firepit available and it was still a nice place to hang out and relax. Had a deer walk right past my tent in the morning...that was a treat!

I really enjoyed my time on this property. Very quiet, secluded, and peaceful. Although I slept in a tent, I stayed at one of the spots designated for RVs/vans. Plenty of trees for epic hammock set-ups. It was a bit of a bummer that the pond and creek were dried up, but it's basically summertime in the PNW so that makes sense. Still beautiful scenery all around and I loved the little walking trails. The compost toilets are clean and functional. I appreciated the bucket of sawdust being refilled by the host when requested.
The only truly "negative" thing is I experienced that the exit driveway has a sharp corner, almost impossible to make a turn without hitting branches. I had to back up few times to turn in my little car (no biggie) but I'd imagine it'd be difficult for larger vehicles.

Staying at the Shooting Star Tent Site was such a wonderful time. They were so accommodating with our late requests and everyone was very pleasant. I would absolutely stay here again.

It was a bit off the beaten path for a 1 night stopover but we enjoyed the quiteness and the beauty of their eco camp. Directions were easy to follow. Thank you Jesse for assisting us in adapting for electricity. Toilets are composting very easy directions for use. Make sure you stock up for necessities before parking, Small market about 11/2 down the road and another 3 miles or more to the outskirts of grants pass.

I loved the tent camping site that Barbara, Jesse, and Vanessa prepared for us. It's a quiet retreat in the woods and there were clear directions on how to get there. Our little dog loved walking the small loop trail and we enjoyed having the option of a propane fireplace and the composting toilet served our needs. Thank you!

We are a young family and we enjoyed the shooting star camp ground. It had a picnic table, shower and compost toliet and a nice firepit. Our children enjoyed exploring and it was a short drive to down if anything was needed. We will come back sometime. Also the camp hosts were very nice and welcomed us upon arrival.

Hazelnut Campsite
This was a wonderful place to camp overnight while on a solo road trip. Communication with the host was excellent before and during my stay. Vanessa greeted me upon arrival and could not have been nicer. I opted for the propane firepit. Sipping my morning coffee while sitting next to the fire was a treat. The turkeys walking down the road and calling out every time geese flew overhead served as entertainment.
The toilet was incredibly clean and odor free. Would definitely stay here again. I plan to stay multiple days in the future in the tent site that is off by itself with the creek nearby. Thank you for a great stay!
