Still Moon Farm is a boutique mountain farm growing East Asian medicinal herbs. We sell mainly to tea purveyors, clinical herbalists and national herb distributors. Located around 2,800 feet in the Siskiyou mountain range. The region was initially inhabited by the Dakubetede Native American tribe. Post colonization … some parts of the land were logged and grazed by cattle. The last decade we have cut and thinned the forest in attempts to revitalize the forest and reduce potential fuel from fires. This bioregion has an extreme amount of flora and fauna diversity. The forest is composed of deciduous and conifer trees.Find your Peace in this cozy light filled studio in the treetops of the Siskiyou mountains. The studio is private with views in every direction of trees, earth and sky (no other buildings in sight). You have direct access to trails leading to old growth forest and a refreshing year long creek. The studio space is an inspiration for artists and lovers of fine details. The kitchen meets all of your basic culinary needs with refrigerator, induction stove top, stainless steel and cast iron cookware, toaster oven and basic spices. Included in your stay are coffee and teas (seasonally available teas such as tulsi and chrysanthemum that we grow here at Still Moon Farm). All bedding and pillows are organic hypoallergenic. Bedroom has a switch to cut electricity at bedtime to reduce EMF’s. A large deck offers space for dining and lounging. “Cozy feels” enhanced by a soapstone wood stove and window seat dining nook. We are located 50 minutes drive from Ashland, 20 minutes drive to the small town of Ruch and a mere 2.5 hours to the spectacular Oregon coast. There is plenty to enjoy on and near the farm as it is surrounded by national forest, rolling hills, year long creeks, a pond, and abundant hiking trails. Nearby entertainment: The Britt Music Festival in Jacksonville, Shakespeare Festival in Ashland paragliding and wine tasting in Applegate region. So many outdoor adventures to choose from. For your consideration... Applegate Lake, Rogue River rafting, Pacific Crest Trail, Crater Lake, Mt Shasta etc and don’t forget the Oregon coast.

Composting toilet. A compost out house is located a few feet from the studio. It’s just like a flushing toilet but instead of flushing you sprinkle saw dust. 🧚🏻

No campfires but during the cold season there is a wood stove available to make the Tree Top Studio cozy and warm.

Potable water available

Spigot, tap, hose, pump or well. Kitchen sink with hot water. Outdoor spigot. Outdoor shower with hot and cold water.

Showers available

Hot water . Enjoy the outdoor shower with wrap around bench, rain shower style set up and 360 views of the forest. Washing off in the pristine creek is another refreshing option and what memories are made of. 🧜‍♀️

Compost bin, recycling bin, trash bin

Private, stovetop or hot plate, fridge, cookware, cooking utensils, dishware, cutlery, basic seasoning and oils, sink or other dishwashing station. No freezer in Studio but we can freeze ice packs down at the farm outdoor kitchen on request.

WiFi is not available in studio space ( think clear mind space and low EMF ). There is WiFi available in communal area on farm.

Laundry present

For stays longer then 7 days laundry is available in communal barn. We provide biodegradable soap.

Small, Quiet, Perfect

Wow, this is quite a lovely gem! It is minimalistic while also feeling luxurious! I was a bit bummed the outdoor shower wasn't up and running but Andrew and Co had a decent solution. Plus, my husband and I really indulged in the teas during our stay here which tasted amazing! Would highly recommend this stay, you will not be disappointed!

Magical Retreat in the Woods

What a beautiful retreat for unplugging. Everything was so cozy and the kitchen is fantastic for whipping up meals. We especial appreciated the nice toaster oven because we don't ever microwave our food. Once your up the hill you won't want to leave so make sure to bring plenty of food and beverages for your stay. The composting toilet is SO NICE. I'm not joking when I say I think it's the nicest place I've ever had a BM. The view is lovely. There are no yucky odors thanks to the pleasant smelling sawdust that you scoop over your leavings. The whole system is quite impressive. Getting away from cell service and wifi was just what we needed to truly relax but you can also walk or drive down the hill for wifi if you need to check a few emails or messages. The trail down to the creek is lovely and in May there was lots of beautiful foliage and flowers to observe. Stay on the path to avoid the poison oak that calls this beautiful area home. We can't wait to come back. I wish we could visit every season to get a year round perspective. I wouldn't mind being snowed in up there, especially with the beautiful wood stove to keep you toasty warm. Sigh. Take me back. 🌲🌿🪶🦋

Andrew's cabin and land offered an incredibly quiet and rejuvenating respite for a few nights. I had plans to visit nearby areas during my stay but in the end, the property woods, creek, trails, and the cozy cabin offered all I needed and I did not want to leave! The cabin offers multiple spaces to relax and the bed was incredibly comfortable - I loved waking up and looking through the windows all around me into the trees. And I have never enjoyed an outhouse so much! Smelled so good and was extremely comfortable.

Gorgeous tiny home in the trees

What a gorgeous tiny home. If you’re looking to unplug and get offline this is the place for you. I could tell a lot of love and intention went behind the cabin. Beautiful woodwork and comfortable bedding and pillows. Everything you need to cook a yummy meal. We loved the tea that was grown on site. We had no reason to leave once we arrived. Will be back!

Very Beautiful and Comfortable

I had a very wonderful stay at Tree Top Studio. It was really relaxing and I loved that Andrew/Jonathan provided wood, kindle and lighter for the wood stove inside the cabin. I hope to stay at Tree Top Studio again sometime in the future because it was a magical place to take a vacation.

This place is dreamy! An absolute perfect little escape in the trees to rest and reset. We chose this spot for our honeymoon location and it was perfect. The creek on the property below is absolutely magical, with an open window you can hear it bubbling and flowing. Such a peaceful and wonderful week. We are refreshed and rejuvenated!!

Sweet retreat under the trees 🌙

This sweet place provided exactly what we were looking for - peace and quiet in an absolutely beautifully built cabin on a little slice of heaven. The frogs sing you to sleep and the birds and the sun wake you gently. We enjoyed the fresh tea, the creek side trails, sitting in the Adirondack chairs having coffee and the compost toilet - which was actually one of our favorite details ! The hosts were so very welcoming and sweet - we can’t wait to come back and see how this lovely farm develops 💕

A delightful stay

I had a wonderful stay in the Tree Top Studio. It was the perfect temporary escape from a busy urban life. Drew was an excellent host and made sure the studio had all the necessary accommodations for an unplugged get away, surrounded by nature. I would highly recommend a stay in his studio.

An oasis for queers

The Tree top studio is by far our favorite Hipcamp location that we have been to! We drove in on a Saturday afternoon and were greeted by Drew and Jonathan who immediately made us feel welcomed to their property. They gave us a very thorough introduction to all of the amenities on their property and are very knowledgeable about the surrounding area as well! Although Drew provided plenty of nearby hikes, we primarily stayed on the property to embrace the quiet and secluded nature of this little slice of heaven. The studio has access to a creek perfect for submerging your feet to ward off the summer heat and a ~30 minute trail that is perfect for evening hikes. Highly recommend bringing some pants/high socks to minimize any potential exposure to poison oak (luckily Drew pointed this out to us on arrival so we did not have any problems with that!) and of course checking for ticks periodically. The studio itself is located on a hill removed from the farm/house. I was able to do some naked yoga on the patio with no sense of being watched and start my morning off with a renewed sense of energy after such a peaceful, deep sleep. The kitchen is perfect for any campers who like to have a hot meal (there's an electric stove) at the end of the day or cold drinks (there's a mini-fridge) throughout the day . Overall the place was extremely clean and we left the property feeling well rested and ready to plan our next visit to Still Moon Farm! I would highly recommend to all my fellow queers. Drew and Jonathan have created a beautiful safe space and we were immensely grateful for that.
