Our family land has had different incarnations over the years. This has been a certified organic farm. We grew at risk medicinal herbs for 12 years. There has been focus on farmers market vegetables. We recently bought a saw mill and tend a stand of Douglas Fir trees. Our family land currently focuses on sustainable forest management and timber framing.A quiet place where you only hear the birds. We have raised our 20' teepee and are opening it up for people to enjoy. Silver Falls Park is 8 miles away, with other places to go in every direction, depending how far of a drive you're in for. Drive-up ready. There is a queen size bed inside, so it's more on the glamping side. A fire pit with wood is set up for a relaxing vibe and is there for cooking if you don't have a camping stove. There are no pans supplied right now.

This was a fun place to stay! The mattress was comfortable, and the teepee was a great size. The hosts were very good at communicating with us and were friendly :)

Such a fun and unique way to camp! Highly recommend getting a big fire going, but be sure to properly vent the teepee. Michael was a great host. Thanks for letting us stay on your beautiful property.

Pros: unique and spacious teepee, nice remote setting, friendly host. Cons: could use a little more infrastructure. No table at the site, so we had to put our cooking stove on the ground or hood of the car (which was a little tilted since the car was parked on a slight decline). Plenty of water provided but no hose, so slightly less convenient to cook and do dishes. Teepee was big but felt a bit dank (suggest bringing a sheet for the mattress). But overall a good stay.

Silver Moon Teepee

Our stay at Michael’s teepee was amazing! He was so accommodating and quick to respond to any questions. The location was peaceful, the teepee was rad and it was just a short drive from Silverton for any shopping or town needs. The bed was comfy but heads up - bring bedding! We read that in a previous review and it was very helpful :) 100% will come back!

Wow!

Silver Moon Teepee

What an amazing and one of a kind experience! My boyfriend came for a one nighter from Portland. We had such a special time. The tepee was so cool and spacious. The fire pit is inside the tepee which added to the one of a kind experience! It was lovely this time, and we look forward to coming back.

Silver Moon Teepee

We stumbled upon this unique stay when we found out last minute we needed a place to stay for one of the nights of our trip. It’s a very fun unique stay! I did think there was going to be blankets and pillows though on the bed inside. It’s not mentioned in the listing but for some reason I thought there would be some, but easy fix! We just grabbed some from a local store. Loved the look of the teepee and there is a lot of room inside!

This lovely space was perfect, easy to get to, inviting, simple and comfy. Michael was really kind, let us take a shower in his house, and gave us total privacy. The only thing that I could say could be better was the mattress, it was quite soft and my partners back and neck suffered from it.

Silver Moon Teepee

My son and I were cross-country camping and found Michaels wonderful place, the teepee was so unique, we had never stayed in something quite like it! The communication was great, super quick responses and clear directions. Michael was very accommodating to our change in plans with us being a lot later than expected. The land was so pretty, very calm, peaceful, and welcoming. Would love to visit again!

Silver Moon Teepee

We enjoyed a wonderful stay on Michael's land! The setting is beautiful and so peaceful, tucked in woods with vistas to farmland valleys. What a dark sky location, which served our telescoping activities greatly! Six of us stayed and could share company late into the night with no other people nearby to be concerned about! Michael was very responsive. We appreciated his accommodation for our miniature poodle, keeping his dog inside during our stay. The farm is just miles away from Silver Falls State Park, making our trip simple and wonderful. I'd highly recommend Silver Moon Teepee!
