This is a camping accomodation in an RV that is onsite at our property. You cannot drive it off the property, it remains here at all times. Just bring yourselves and your food and belongings! This 30 foot RV has a queen size bed, seating and dining area, small kitchen space, shower, toilet, refrigerator and electric, wifi and water hookups. Septic dumps are our problem, not yours. Enjoy a fun getaway near Bend for a reasonable price. Up to two dogs allowed. Historic farm property with standing structures from the early 1900's including the schoolhouse in our driveway and smokehouse at the very back of the lot. Our neighbor across the street grows 30 acres of the best alfalfa around, and we also have ranchers nearby raising sheep, top quality cattle, horses, pygmy goats, rehabilitated former race horses and even peacocks! Great Bend proximate camping is hard to find. We offer a safe, secure place to camp 10 minutes outside of town with a beautiful farm pond to enjoy in the backyard. We were so honored to be named one of Oregon's top rated HipCamp sites in 2020 and 2021! Thank you! We have taken a break from hosting the last few years and are happy to be back with this new option. Nearby: Explore trails and Bureau of Land Management (free and open federal property) access nearby for mountain biking, hiking and more. You are welcome and encouraged to explore our property and enjoy all of its peaceful tranquility, including two beautiful ponds. You can walk your dogs without leaving the premises. Kids love our giant tree house. This is a great place for those with dogs and families. We have dogs and cats but they are friendly with other animals. We ask that you never bring a pet with you who might harm one of ours. There are also wild animals here like deer, hawks, quail, coyotes, porcupines, rockchucks, owls and more. We can’t say enough about our close to town camping spot. Definitely purchase cookies and pie from Leah…she’s a talented baker! We floated the river in town and again in Sunriver, Leah shuttled us for a small fee to the endpoint where we could leave our car. Nearby restaurants and hiking make this a great location for adventures. A water hose, electrical hook up, lined garbage can, and firewood were all nice amenities.

Beautiful view of the sunset over the mountains! nice and quiet, away from the tourists and noise but close to all of the fun things to do in Bend! We really enjoyed our stay there. We were welcomed with a nice informative note, a power cord and a hose for water…. Everything we needed.

My husband and I brought our two dogs and our motorhome and had a fantastic time at Leah's spot. There's plenty of room, privacy, and always a great view for sunset. They are kind enough to provide Wi-Fi and trash disposal which was super helpful for us on the road. We would definitely recommend staying there! We went into town multiple times very easily so it's a quiet spot but still close to everything fun in Bend.

Leah is an amazing host- she was so helpful, provided tips, instructions, offered us to borrow her tubes for the river floating, let us use her personal laundry and dryer, and much more. The camp is great - exactly as described!

County Peacefulness with a View

We certainly enjoyed the peacefulness of being in the country! We were the only RVERS, and we felt comfortable leaving our camp to enjoy biking, hiking and kayaking. The farm kitty came to visit us and got acquainted with our kitty! We sat outside every evening to watch the sunsets with the Beautiful Mountain View’s when it started to cool down. We watched a Golden Eagle in the tree over the pond while eating breakfast along with other birds. Thank you so much for the visit Leah!!

Great quiet spot for our overnight stay! Location is great with downtown about 10 minutes. Our girls loved the treehouse and swing on the property. The host Leah was very responsive and friendly. Would definitely stay again!

Sam’s camp is a beautiful location if you want to be close to all the outdoor activities and fun in Bend, Oregon while still having the solitude of camping away from the crowds. Our kids loved the treehouse and pond with surrounding lawn to play on in our downtime. Leah was a gracious host and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed with great suggestions for activities and places to eat. Would happily return the next time we come through.

We loved this spot. Close to Bend but far enough away that it was quiet and serene. Had everything we needed to recharge and reorganize on our journey through Oregon. And... we saw an epic shooting star!

We loved the quiet in the evening, the BIG sky, their little pond. Leah was very communicative and easy to get ahold of when we had questions. The fire pit was SOOOO nice! And it was very convenient to have an electric line, and water available. It was also really nice to be only 40 minutes away from Smith Rock. Thank you, Leah for the great stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the farm. We ordered a berry pie and it was delicious. The site had a fire pit, but it was too windy in the evening for us to use it. I would imagine it would be great if a less windy weekend. The little pond was within a short walk from the campsite and we spent a whole afternoon reading and enjoying the relaxing space. Town is not far away so it was great spot for the activities we had planned.

Staying on Leah’s property was great! We have a 31’ trailer, and it fit nicely in the space. I think anything much bigger would be a little tight unless you are really confident with your maneuvering skills! It was only ~15 minutes to downtown Bend and 10 minutes to the outskirts of town where you can find good food and breweries also. It was so nice to feel secluded and safe but also be close to town! Leah was a very responsive and hospitable host. I would recommend staying here when in the area!

Great spot. Quiet location with nice views of the distant peaks, and relatively. Lose to town. Pie was great, and appreciated Leah accommodating us and our pets.

Our family had such a lovely time at Leah's camp spot! It's a quiet, beautiful spot just outside of Bend, with some fun features like a small pond onsite to explore. Parking and setup were a piece of cake, our hosts provided all the info we needed, and the fresh-baked pie we included as an add-on to the reservation was amazing. Hoping to return one day soon!

What a lovely hip camp! It was close to town, but far enough away to feel quiet and peaceful. The space was clean and private. Everything was easy and wonderful!

We loved our stay here! Such a beautiful property and it has so many great amenities and a nice welcome letter clearly explaining everything! There is a lovely and very clean 1/2 bath to use that is sectioned off within the house with outside entrance as well as outdoor water access (both cold AND HOT!), trash, recycling, electrical, fire pit with kindling! Very lux for RV camping!!! We even saw 5 deer on and adjacent to the property in the morning! Will definitely be coming back!!!

Everything we needed was easily available. The site was clean with nice view of mountains and the farmhouse style yard was fun. To top it off, Leahʻs cherry pie was delicious! 🥧

This was my first time using Hip Camp. The whole transaction was seamless. The Owner was very responsive to questions. This site was perfect for me as my family lives on the East side. 10 minute drive to Worthy Brewing for lunch. Very beautiful property. Would totally book again.

It was the perfect place to stay for our weekend in Bend. My daughter loved the treehouse and we all loved the cats. Nice roomy tent spot and a beautiful clean bathroom. Highly recommend!
