John was very responsive and quick to act. When we needed something, he was there. Great experience, friends and I were there overnight for a rafting trip and it was just what we were looking for. Site was clean, spacious, and setup with everything we needed.
As a six person group pricing was generous. Very happy with the experience and will strongly consider again.

We had a great stay. John was a very attentive host and made sure we had everything we needed, including providing ice for our cooler. Shower and propane fireplace were a nice bonus.

The water is seasonal so by the time I went the temperatures were high enough that there was water and the shower was ready for use!! The hosts were helpful, considerate and communicative kind people! I would absolutely stay here again. Queer friendly as well!! Thank you so much for making us feel welcomed and safe. Even gave us a great breakfast recommendation! :) 10/10 experience.

Pulled into campground and had 6 to 8 deer grazing nearby. Very peaceful and off the road so there is no traffic noise. John is excellent host, and even came by to help me with camper problems. Plenty of firewood, deer everywhere. Campground has power, water, and outdoor shower. Great place if you want to just relax. Pine Hollow lake very close by.

If you are visiting the nearby lake, this is a convenient place to sleep. The host is helpful and good at communication. If you have a self contained RV, it's great. The shower did not have water hooked up, but we were only there one night.

John & his family are great hosts! They make sure have everything you need, including ice and propane for the camp stove or gas firepit (due to burn ban right now). If you stay with an RV be aware that the elect & water hook ups are at the front edge of the site. John is great about checking in to see if you need anything during your stay and has a ton of recommendations for things to see!

We had a great experience on John’s land. It’s private, clean and John is super friendly and helpful. He provided quick responses to questions over the messaging app. It was better than we expected. He provided ice, propane and a gas fire pit. Even a griddle that we used on the fire pit was great. An additional cooking griddle as well. Porta Potty available also. The biggest thing for us was that despite a huge thunderstorm rolling in just minutes after we arrived John took care of us by even inviting us into his family home for a couple hours to wait out the storm. Then after we hitched our tent the storm started again and he let us hang inside his RV camper. The storm ended and we slept in our tent and everything went smooth sailing into the next day, which was glorious hiking and going river rafting. John gave us plenty tips on food places and the hike we ended up going on before meeting at the River Drifters location in Maupin. So overall, a fantastic host and we highly recommend anyone camping on his property! Thank you, John and family for a great experience and adventure!

Very nice host. This was our first Hipcamp booking. We don’t like being stacked on top of other campers at Pine Hollow Resort/Campground, and John’s property was the perfect remedy. My family rented out both camp spots and had the place to ourselves while only being 5 minutes from the lake. Highlights were the heated shower (a big hit with my parents who were tent camping) and the doe and fawns that were hanging out on the property multiple mornings that we were there. :)

John is an incredible host, super helpful and knows the best local spots to explore. The site was private, the port-a-John was conveniently located, and the shower was great - hot and great water pressure. The fire pits were nice; I enjoyed roasting hotdogs and marshmallows with my family. I liked it so much I am going back in a few weeks for another stay!!

We had a great stay with John near Pine hollow. The campsite was spacious and clean with lots of options for where to set a tent. Evenings were easy to hang out with the provided propane fire pit to gather around. John and his boys also made sure that we had enough ice alleviating that necessity of us. I would recommend John's campsites and will probably stay there again in the future.

Great spot with a lot of extra care and thought put into the setup. Due to the burn ban propane fire pit was already provided so we didn’t have to pull ours out. Outdoor shower was great and they even provided ice in a cooler for us before we arrived. Nice quiet campsite with a great location. Would definitely recommend!

John and his family are spectacular hosts! They are new but committed to giving their guests a great experience, give them a try! There was a cool outdoor shower with hot water, a HUGE fire pit hang out area and they offered ice from their clean ice machine. The site was level and easy to get to. Nice and quiet area. We will be back!
