Remote & Beautiful, but not Quiet

Overall it was a good stay in beautiful surroundings for a reasonable price. The 5 sites could use better marking signs and the addition of picnic tables (we only saw one). We stayed over a weekend and had noise from houses nearby partying at night, tons of dog barking (not ours) and machinery sounds from work being done nearby in the morning. We didn’t see or hear from the host during our stay.

We LOVED camping on June's property!! Our dogs even enjoyed it!! June and her husband came and checked to see if we needed anything and to let us know some good fishing sites. The directions were really easy to follow. We can't wait to camp here again!!! It is the perfect spot to unwind and depending on your cell provider you are off grid!!

Pulling up I was a bit hesitant about the area, but we found I nice little spot,(I’m sure if there were more people coming to camp they would have got our spot which to me was the best for tent camping, we had the whole place to ourselves. First day walked to the falls & pick our spot in this secluded little sand beach with a level place to walk out to the deepest part of the river, we took our inner tubes & my daughter tooled around rock hunting. We enjoyed our stay until it started raining, we tried to out stay the rain but that wasn’t happening so we packed up. The compost toilet was a new thing for us & wasn’t too bad, better than just a hole in the ground where flys & bees buz around. My only complaint was I think it should have been dumped the next day. We enjoyed our stay & found out we do pretty good when off the grid (no water, phone service, or shower

We had a great time camping here for the weekend, not too far out from the town and there was a gorgeous swimming spot less than 10 minutes away. June checked in on us while we got settled in and made us feel safe! Would definitely recommend to spend a weekend here!

A Nice Escape

This was a nice escape, but the site was not as expected. There is a creek near by, but not really walking distance unless you want to climb down a very high & steep embankmen, so we didn’t get any fishing in as hoped..
June was nice to check on us 2x a day. The site was very small, but surrounded by trees & bushes, so it felt private & had nice shade.
We drove to Crater Lake (2 1/2 hr drive) (Hwy 139, BLM Roads) much farther than expected, but we were on a paved lumber road, so it was lovely, but a lil scary with 1 lane & so many drop off, I wouldn’t recommend driving it at night. We also went to Clear Falls, Diamond Lake & Lemolo Lake. Beautiful areas to explore.

We really enjoyed our afternoon and evening and the next morning. Nice gentle use of the land and held true for Peaceful. Walked up the road to the waterfalls before returning for the beautiful evening. Much appreciated point in our adventures

My stay at June's property was very enjoyable. I camped in a very attractive, secluded area. The drive to the property was easy and directions were very good. It's about 16 miles from cottage Grove. I hope to stay there again and recommend it to others, especially for tent camping.

This was our first camp spot on our long road trip around Washington and Oregon. It was a nice quiet location with a river across the road. The spots were clean and spaced far enough apart and felt private. I would recommend this site as a great middle spot for exploring the surrounding areas like the Blue Pool, Umpqua Hot springs and many more beautiful nature sites.

As soon as we arrived we looked around going "wait this is the address but where are the signs and camp spots" June doesn't have signs up for a reason, for this to feel like you are literally on the land camping out, without signs & markers to make it more realistic to the wild, the Tanks she mentions are small older brown propane tanks in the grass look for those, no markers because it's Open Camping! Meaning yes you paid you'll have a spot but pick anyone you want! This again for a more real wild feel.
Just 30 steps out her drive you'll find a small goat trail down to the most beautiful fairyland by the water - 5 mins drive to the left Wildwood Falls, keep driving and you'll find hundreds of your own private river spots. We stayed the entire time, met some friendly neighbors floated the small rapids found amazing rocks and completely cooked ourselves. The night was quiet and safe be some dog howls and a Goodnight from the neighboring donkey.
We met June and Mr Beau her dog, she was absolutely so kind and sweet just as Beau was.
From the Small safe private spots to the big open RV spots, two tent toilets with everything you'd need *bring a hand fan it's hotter than hell in the tents* Internet connection by the toilets Incase of emergencies, the river on all sides plus waterfalls, the most beautiful land to the kind and welcoming June and Beau!
We will Absolutely Be back!!!

This was our 3rd time camping at June’s.
We had a large group, with several trailers and tents. Plenty of room for us.
We love it there, and have a few more trips already reserved.

Nice little spot. Host was very kind and stopped by to see if we needed anything. The site was not as close to the water as we thought (about 12min walk to Wildwood & no access to river across the street due to poison oak). Lots of animal sounds throughout the night (a bull i think) but we didn’t mind that. Thanks for the stay!!

This is a great overnight stop for road trips. I wouldn’t recommend as a destination camp spot, as there were dogs barking throughout the night & anytime we walked around. Neighbors are close. It is remote but not private. There is no reception, so you can’t reach the host with questions. There was no signage as to where the restroom was & we never found it. We did appreciate having a woodsy spot to spend one night. Recommend arriving during daylight so you can find it more easily & possibly meet host/find restrooms.

June the host and her husband were very accommodating and super friendly. Their land is right next to a river and there was plenty of space for my tiny group of friends. There was a rule about no loud noises, which I completely respect. We did have a tiny speaker and were up pretty late around 11pm but there's enough space between the camp and the hosts home that none of us were bothered. Since we were the only campers during our stay she let us know it was okay if we didn't check out exactly at check out time, it felt nice not to be rushed out of the space. There were chairs, tables, an axe and a weber bbq she let us borrow. I would definitely recommend this spot.

Amazing peaceful retreat loved how quiet it is at night you can hear the nearby river. 10/10 would stay here again. Their flock dog was really cute and sat a distance away from me and just watched me set up. Honestly very well behaved. The area had some beautiful places to see and hike.

Perfect for an overnight spot, but a fair distance for anything to see or do. June was very nice and accommodating. There was plenty of flat space in which to park a van or RV. And, being off season, we had the whole place to ourselves.

I would absolutely camp here again! We had no problem getting into a spot and it was super quiet and beautiful. Our host was excellent at communicating as well which was important as we were coming in late and in the dark. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy the surrounding area but it was just a quick overnight for us!
