This 1/3 acre property is located above the Nehalem River in the Nehalem Valley known for its abundance of wildlife and roaming elk. The weather here is outstanding with delicate summer breezes and more sun breaks than Portland in the winter. The property feels very spacious for its size as it is overlooking the river and between two undeveloped lots. The river can be accessed from June to October with a ladder or year-round a few blocks away at the community beach. The nearest convenience store and restaurant/bar is just 4 miles away. Jewell Meadows Wildlife Area is 8 miles away. Seaside is 19 miles, Astoria is 35 miles and Hillsboro is 44 miles.The campsite on the property is perfect for someone who wishes to spend their summer surrounded by the natural beauty of Northwest Oregon. The affordable price requires two-week minimum stays. One to three months is preferred. The campsite's fenced enclosure features an 8' x 8' sleeping shed and an 8' x 8' sunroom with a table, shelves and chairs. It also has a filtered rainwater system and a smokeless firepit with free firewood. The property has a solar system consisting of three 230-watt solar panels to power your electronics all day and night from April to November. The electrical outlet is located in the utility shed. On sunny summer days, there is enough power for the electric cooler to keep your food and beverages cold. Additional amenities include a one-person kayak and a compost toilet. The ground within the fenced enclosure is covered with reclaimed textile to help keep the area clean. The cell tower signal is strong enough for phone calls, but not always reliable for streaming videos. (The 12' x 16' insulated cabin on the property may be available in the future for off-season use at the same monthly rate.)
