Just down the road from the historic Oregon Country Fair grounds, there is a moss covered forest with friendly folks welcoming you to stop off and rest. Nights are quiet with faint to no road noise or light pollution. The driveway and grounds are flat with safe gated parking space for cars/vans and small-med sized trailers, tents etc. It is our pleasure to offer you a safe space to camp with your friends and family. Learn more about this land: Mosswood is on 5 acres of mostly forested land, there's usually a project going (or three). We've recently finished building a barn workshop, a covered timber frame deck in the meadow, and a very unique woven tree net that you'll be sure to enjoy! No dogs living here, just one friendly cat, otherwise it's squirrels, birds, and the occasional wild turkey procession or coyote. There is a large garden, and when growing season is on, we may send you packing with some fresh greens or veggies! If you see us out and about, feel free to come say hello or ask questions. We love sharing good conversations and ideas about how to live well and stay excited about all things. Towns/Activities nearby: Veneta/Elmira are charming small rural towns with all the basics less than 10 min drive: Grocery Outlet, Bi-mart, Ace hardware, Auto parts, some decent restaurants. Fern Ridge Lake is 10 minutes down the road for walking trails, boating and paddling, plenty of other outdoor activities nearby. Eugene is 25 min, and the beautiful Oregon coast is 45 min drive if you want to smell the ocean air and visit Florence.

Welcome to Oregon Country Fair Tent camping in our beautiful mossy forest. We have several separate camping sites available, each site will have its own space and room for extra tents depending on group size. Please reach out with any questions before you book since these bookings are not refundable after 21 days in advance, and the 20% booking fees do not refund regardless 🙏 Here’s the basic details: Cost: $40 / night - For 1 person, 1 vehicle, 1 night - Add $40 per night for each additional camper over 12 yrs old - Kids under 12 are $10/ night - Each site can hold up to 6 people (12yrs or older) - Each site is allowed 3 kids under 12yrs old 2 vehicles per site max please, you will be parked on the property close by but not right next to your site. If you have additional vehicles (more than 2) please carpool, or message us to add additional fee of $40 / night. We have limited parking so we don’t offer it cheap :) **For Car camping please book OCF - Car Camping Site. The land is mostly flat, quiet and reasonably private. Tent camping spots are mostly shaded and will be dispersed in the woods, first come first serve. There's showers available and portable restrooms. We do not have ADA bathrooms. Oregon Country Fair is about 1 mile down the road, 5-10 min by bike and 20-25 min by foot. This isn't a place to bring the party back to, we want you to enjoy yourselves and have fun of course, please respect our neighbors and be aware of noise levels affecting other campers. There may be a communal fire pit to hang around at night if the host decides to light it. Acoustic jams if it’s not too loud past midnight. **Please help us keep the space tidy and pack out your own trash and food waste! We’ll take your cans and deposits. The site is settled into the edge of a clean and peaceful mossy forest, tents can be setup anywhere in the forest, vehicles can park on the edge of the forest where there is gravel. The land is mostly flat with decent privacy. This is an active homestead with building projects and a barn with large mixed medium sculptures, the barn and stage were all built from scratch and the place is still "in process" but we keep things decently tidy.

Welcome to Oregon Country Fair car camping on the edge of our beautiful mossy forest. We have a total of 6 car camping sites available, each site will have its own space and room for tents, or possibly one other vehicle if it’s compact. The cozy Aloha trailer is easily accessible by all vehicles, tucked under a small open structure for shelter from the elements. There is power, propane stove, comfortable table, and the bed sleeps 1-2. A perfect solo or couples getaway for a peaceful nights rest! Important Note* - We ask that you bring your own pillows, sheets and blankets, or a sleeping bag. If you are on the road and don't have bedding please let us know ahead of time and we'll add a $10 cleaning fee for the laundry. Thank you!

Mosswood Forest was quiet and pleasant. We had a long driving day, so we arrived pretty late at night. They accommodated our late arrival and showed us to a flat place to park our trailer but the barn. It was fun to explore the property, the saloon and stage area before we hit the road the next day.

Very cool spot! Communal kitchen area and toilet were very nice to have. Loved getting to see the sculptures and having a fire outside. Saw deer and turkey running around on the property as well. Super peaceful and nice stay. Would def visit again. Thanks for having us :)

I reaaaaally liked the property/site, and it would be great for camping IF the compost toilet had not been the fullest I'd ever seen. Pardon the TMI but it's for "pooping only", and while there are many trees, I found it difficult to locate anywhere that didn't feel so exposed, so peeing in private did not feel like an option. The artwork was beautiful, but the toilet was literally so full I wouldn't feel comfortable using it in that condition again and found it really awkward to try to pee privately, perhaps bring a skirt of that's an option for you to create coverage. As far as the actual camper, it's cozy, but the previous reviewer who shared that it stinks was absolutely right. It has a mild sort of man funk that was incredibly intense on the sheets and the mattress protector. I was very grateful to have brought my own sheets. I really wanted to love it in there but it desperately needs a feminine/womanly touch of you know what I mean. I did get a bit of a headache from the electrical and it not being level but once the lights were on I started to adjust a little. I was uneasy, but it was affordable and the property+art were incredible and it was a nice space to be outside of the accommodation issues. It's the sort of place where I'd love to have a way to assist with the work just to see it's full potential and to have the privilege of being in a growing space. If this doesn't bother you, go for it! If the toilet is improved we'd love to go back, with some febreeze.

The peace and quiet stood out the most for my son and i. The ground is cover in green moss. Felt like something you would see on TV. If we get the opportunity to camp in Oregon again, this is the first spot we will check out.

Clay has lots of fun, cool, art and things that he's built that were neat to see. We stayed in a non tent site that is in the woods next to all the cool things. The other non tent site wouldn't have been as nice to stay at in my opinion. Compost toilet and communal kitchen were nice to have. We met a couple other fellow campers and enjoyed chatting around the fire pit. Felt safe and welcomed.

The campground is a bit open (shady, but not a lot of barriers between tent sites), but it has a lot of amenities - kitchen tent, hot water shower in a clawfoot tub, lawn and stage, picnic areas, and a fun open-roof "saloon" with tables and a bar counter for hanging out. Vibe was relaxed and welcoming. Worked great for our two-night work trip to nearby Fern Ridge!

Clay hosted us for a night while we were traveling across the country to our next home. He is incredibly hospital and the property is beautiful! We slept so well in the little camper and would definitely stay again if we are ever in the area again

I loved that the space was so open yet so comfortable, was able to have my own space under the trees without hearing or seeing anyone else overnight, other than eating dinner and playing card games with some of the other guests! Really enjoyed my stay and was just the perfect distance from the fair that I didn’t hear any craziness when trying to sleep and slept like a baby! Not too crowded at all and Julian was an amazing help in identifying the facilities and answering questions!

I love my car camping experience. The amenities were really nice to have around if we needed it. I thought the entertainment area was quite cute. It seemed to be a very family friendly camp site. Would recommend and probably will stay again next fair.

Oregon Country Fair - Tent Camping
I stayed for two nights for Oregon Country Fair, arriving on a Thursday. The hosts were kind and helpful, the grounds are quite spacious, shaded and well cared for and the facilities worked super well for my needs. I was really impressed with the beautiful wooded area and the art and spaces that Clay has put in place -- it's very nice and accommodating and easy to enjoy. I went as a solo camper and it was easy to do my own thing and explore a bit of the grounds or to connect with others at the kitchen area, etc. other guests were respectful of quiet hours and of the space. Communication was very clear and comprehensive. It was a 30 minute walk to the turn off into the OCF with a lot more walking after that so next time I will bring bikes. I would be very happy to stay there again!

Absolutely wonderful place to stay! It is so cute and there has been a lot of time and effort put into this place, which it shows! The host is super chill and accommodating. Good spots to pop a tent and lots of room to choose a spot!

Clay’s place was awesome! The property was very peaceful and quiet and Clay was very welcoming. My car needed a jump and Clay was right there to help. I had my two pups and there was plenty of space for them to walk and roam around. I will be going back and bringing my friends to his place.

Beautiful stay! Awesome art, chill folks running the place. Incredible hearing how Clay bought it as forested land, did the logging and built the barn, ill have to come back in a few years to see how its progressed! The outside shower was surprisingly nice, there was a frog in the tub, but he jumped out and the water was hot and worked great! Great lil event venue set up too, loved the net and saloon!

The communication was concise and clear. Very quick responses. Property was quiet and chill, the fire pit area was AMAZING. So fun. The forest was magic. Great for kids too. Thankful for the cute trailers fan. 11,000 out of 10!

Mosswood was magical! We had fun exploring the woodland setting Clay has created including a saloon, stage, meandering paths, and tree weave. We appreciated the peace and quiet at night, the level car camp site (drain rock parking pad), and the well kept composting outhouse. Thank you for sharing your land with us.

Clay has a magical spot here. Quiet and well cared for. He has amazing sculptures and really a neat space! The 'services' are primitive but clean and Clay has a great recycling system in place.

This little forest fairy haven is absolutely magical! I stayed in a campsite and was provided a tour of the grounds, vault toilet(very clean and stank-free), and all the fun activities around like the trampoline hammock! Clay was an excellent and accommodating host. I will absolutely be back ASAP!!
