What a nice campground evening the rain. It must be heaven in the summer. There were more amenities than I could use. This part of the coast is spectacular.

Excellent staff and really unique campground. We loved all the little touches that made it feel special. We came for a birthday week and were blown away by the experience. Close to the beach, clean, lots of fun activities and just a beautiful place. You can tell they really are putting in work and truly care for the property. Everyone was wonderful and I could not say enough good things about the staff. Thank you!

I stayed two nights in a tent, it was very quiet and the stars were so close I thought I could touch them. It was a nice place to camp.

There was someone already in my tent spot and they were out of tent spots. They quickly moved me to a secluded, small RV spot back near the meadow and it turned out to be great! Nice little hidden gem with beach access!

Very nice and clean campground. The bathrooms were excellent and had clean, hot showers. Easy walk to the beach which we did with our dogs every morning. A little more expensive but you get what you pay for. Just wish they would re-open the restaurant.

It was a well maintained camp with a cool secret beach access. We were impressed with how considerate all the resident campers were and enjoyed our coastal adventures while staying there.

We had a great tent site, lots of privacy and surrounded by nature. Quiet and peaceful at night. There was also so much to do at the clubhouse and was very convenient to have showers and laundry. We will be back!

A great place to stay. Office staff was very inviting. Definitely could hear the ocean at our site. Nice to hear mother nature at work. One thing that was a drag was that Hipcamp stated camp fires were allowed. Brought enough wood for such. Got there and was told a fire ban was in effect. Bummer. Got an email during the middle of our stay from Hipcamp saying that camo fires were not allowed. Little slow on the ball there. Still had a good time and met some new people.

My husband and I will forever call honeybee our favorite Oregon coastal camp spot!! What a hidden gem! So quiet, clean and spacious in tween camo sites !! Exceeded our expectations on our 10 day road trip up the coast, nothing comes close to Honeybear camping!

We loved our time with the fine folks at Honey Bear by the Sea! Originally, we had planned to spend the week camping at Oregon’s Cave Creek Campground. But when the forecast called for temperatures in the 90s, we looked for a cooler alternative. After striking out at the State Parks, we turned to Hipcamp—and we’re so glad we did.
Honey Bear, just north of Gold Beach, OR, was a perfect find. The campsites in the lower part of the park are spacious and beautiful. While there’s a nearby porta-potty, showers are just a short walk up to the RV area. The location is ideal for exploring the Oregon Coast and makes for an easy drive to Northern California and the Redwoods.
The staff couldn’t have been more friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend!

It’s a beautiful campground! Very clean and well laid out grounds. Areas of shade and also more open. We had a view of the ocean from our site!

David and Tammy are the best people on the face of the Earth. What can I say about this place not only is it friendly it’s the most at home place I’ve ever felt in my life. The scenery is beautiful. The amenities are immense and the people are a treasure.

We really liked camping at Honey Bear! The tent sites were in a beautiful meadow completely away from the RVs. We had very nice bathrooms and laundry facilities which was nice. This was a great spot.

We loved staying here! Something went wonky with our reservation since we did it through Hipcamp but they were able to accommodate us and get us in the perfect spot! Just a quick walk to the beach where your dogs can run around off leash, hardly ever saw any other people!

We enjoyed our one night stay at Honey Bear! The campground has lots of space! Kathy was especially sweet & helpful 😊 and the state park is right across the street to watch the sunset 🌇…would definitely stay again!

Make sure you’re booking the right site before you arrive!! We got lucky and they were able to accommodate us in a regular tent site, but the site we booked was labeled incorrectly on hipcamp. Great experience here and if you get lucky, you’ll get to play with the sweetest cat!
