Elk Haven Ranch consists of 40 acres at the base of a mountain range that is BLM federal land. There is an elk herd and of course deer on the property. This property is a haven for them, no hunting is allowed. If you are looking to throw a Frisbee with your dog in a forested and meadow setting, without tons of campers right next to you, then this is your place. Room to roam, fresh water April through September and easy access to a common electricity plug-in where you can charge your cell phones and air mattresses on the electric pole by the entry gate. If you are looking to play games, just ask us for the corn hole or horse shoes, or help yourself to the games already out and available. Let us know what your goals are and we will do our best to accommodate for your stay.

No RV's or tall vehicles, but perfect for 1 car or van and groomed for 1 large tent. Site floor is dirt and forest. You can pull all of the way through instead of backing up if you don't mind some tall grass and possible shrubbery rubbing up against your car as you exit. We keep it pretty cut back, but it grows fast, so you never know. Walk it before you drive it. No electricity. Has propane BBQ, large outdoor Wood Stove available April – June 30th before Fire Season begins July 1st. All wood fires must be in the wood stove. Smoking can be right at your picnic table and BBQ area, but please first spray the ground underneath any smoking or fire. If you’re looking for seclusion and a feel of being in the greenery at the base of our mountain, then this site is perfect for you. April-September - you have water on demand in this site. If you arrive and the hose is not hooked up, just walk down to where your site meets the main driveway and walk the excess hose across the driveway and connect to the nozzle on the hose across the driveway. We prefer you haul your trash away when you leave, but if you must leave it, be sure it’s in a plastic bag. There’s a silver can to leave your drink bottles and cans in. DIRECTIONS: Two options to enter and exit your site: Option #1: Pass the 2nd gate, pass by the meadow on your right and keep going until you see a dirt road on your left in the woods - just look to make a sharpy left turn back to the left, which is actually pointed back sharply to the left and it goes up a bumpy dirt road. Option #2: It’s easier to come in by turning Left just after Site 1 onto the little dirt road and make a right turn just past Site 3 and follow the little grassy road to your site. Feel free to park and walk this before you drive it. Now, that we offer Instant Booking, just go directly to your site without our greeting you, feel free to make yourself at home upon arrival. Check out the campground, find the blue porta potty between Site 1 and 3 on the little dirt road just up from the main driveway and look for the horseshoe pit just across the driveway from Site 1, and the hand washing station with the dishwashing table right next to the open shower available April-September. Site 1 - Lower Meadow is beautiful and spacious and is the first campsite, immediately on your left. There are a few fruit trees and our fenced garden area located across the driveway. Before/After Fire Season there is an in-ground fire pit - wood is at 2nd gate (NOTE: Fire season begins July 1st, so after 7/1, be sure to reserve and rent a propane fire pit for your stay in Extras. Outside the fire pit there are a couple of built in log seats and there's room for you to pull up a couple of lounge chairs as well. The site provides a picnic table and a few large ponderosa pine trees to provide you some shade in the heat of the summer. If you move the picnic table for any reason - please return it to it's original location before checking out. Site 1 is a nice small meadow, with fairly level gravel parking and has 30 amp electricity for your RV. The campground porta potty is at the far southwest end of the site just around the corner. Site 3 is across a small access road at the far western end of Site 1. Site 1 is great for an open meadow experience. Great for people with dogs too. It is a nice area for outdoor recreation. It is primarily meadow grass and there are several sprinklers on a timer that go off daily in the summer. Now, that we allow Instant Booking and you go directly to your site without our greeting you, just feel free to make yourself at home upon arrival. While, we no longer introduce ourselves, we find most people are looking for privacy, so we hope you like this self-guided camping experience and adventure as well. Check out the campground, find the blue porta potty between Site 1 and 3 on the little dirt road just 50 feet up from the main driveway and look for the horse shoe pit just across the driveway from Site 1, and the dishwashing table & open hot water shower open April-September by 2nd gate. Ignore our junk storage areas in 2 spots, one past the porta potty (old vehicles building supplies) and the other is past Site 5 starting with the old metal roof building that is off limits since a tree fell on it awhile back. Site 1 is a great place to relax in nature. Listen to the birds and enjoy the weather whatever it is. Enjoy!

Site 3 - Secluded Honeymooners spot – Perfect for 2 people in a tent, van, or small RV. While you don’t have to be on your honeymoon to reserve this spot, it does provide a lovely small private level RV, Van, or car space. There is no electricity in the site but it has its own 2 Adirondack chairs, foot stools and side table, a mini Weber kettle BBQ - just bring your own charcoal, fire starter, lighter. This is a favorite spot, so private and green. It does have a bit of poison oak in the surrounding bushes, so take caution if you choose this nice secluded spot to stay within the site itself. Enjoy this sweet little spot by surrounding yourself with greenery and privacy. April - September we have a water hose for your use and fire protection for your BBQing. Must have your own running water source if you have any fire or BBQ here during the winter or non-water months. Easy to socially distance from others here. Enjoy the sounds of the birds! DIRECTIONS: Located past Site 1 and then turn left at the first dirt road and then make an immediate right into the Site 3 pull-in. This is a pull in and back out site. Site 1 - Lower Meadow
Site #1 was a very nice and open site, lovely tree coverage, and private. Water pressure for hookup was great. We had a class B and had no problem driving in, and backing up as needed. We arrived in the daylight; wouldn't advise at dark with all the visual directions.

Tent camping here was surreal. My fiancé, mother and I stayed here just for the night while on our way to California from Washington and it was lovely. Rebecca was very kind and gave perfect directions for anyone who would struggle getting to the property. They even had lights hung up in the camp sites which gave the whole place an amazing vibe.

We camped with kids and our dogs and had a really relaxed weekend. The portapotty was clean. Shower was nice too. Hosts were very communicative and accommodating.

Really cute spot that is very nicely maintained! It was a major perk to have access to a private propane BBQ at each sure, a propane fire pit, and a spray hose at our site! Porta potty was clean. Only downside was the insane amount of mosquitos, but of course this isn't the host's fault and she did warn us before we got there. Even after spraying everyone down with tons of bug spray we spent the evening constantly swatting swarms of them away and each woke up with several bites. I also removed a tick off of my child after walking around the foresty areas. There were even several mosquitos landing on us early this morning and during breakfast. Come prepared!!!!

We loved the camp site! Rebecca provided everything we needed. We ended up having the whole campsite to ourselves and were able to have our Golden Retriever run around in the open meadow. Rebecca went above and beyond by putting sprinklers all over the campsite to help keep the meadow nice and green, even in the dry summer. Will definitely recommend to friends and family and stop by the next time we’re in town!

We loved our camping trip at this location! The hosts were wonderful and helpful. The campsites were very nice and quiet. Their land was off the road a half mile or so. The had open areas for the dogs and kids to run around on Site 1.

Really easy, private camping. Rebecca was available for any needs and easy to communicate with via the Hipcamp ap. I love the propane bbq, garbage and can receptacles available in the site. It was quiet and peaceful, just what we were looking for.

From one NP to another!

The location was perfect as we traveled from Redwood NP to Crater Lake NP. Rebecca was very easy to work with and was super helpful. She even upgraded our site once we arrived. All of the sites we were able to see were very clean and pretty, with mowed lawns and lovely trees. We would definitely stay again if in the area!

What a beautiful camping spot, with more amenities than most Hipcamps. We were in #2, which was very spacious, the other sites looked great too. Hope to make it back to the area, & will definitely stay there again.

We love this Hipcamp. Rebecca was so helpful and friendly. We only spend one night but it was quiet and peaceful with plenty of room for our two dogs to run. We would definitely stay again!

Rebecca’s land is great! The toilet was close to site 3 (but not too close) and the shower/wash station was nice as well. Site 3 was perfect for my truck with rooftop tent, but could accommodate a bit larger vehicle as well. I’d stay there again.

Loved staying at this campsite, It was secluded enough for us with shady trees. Access to the water hose at the campsite was also great. We loved playing horseshoe and the shower was a highlight! Finding the place was a breeze and so was the contact-less check-in. Rebecca was also very sweet and welcoming, we will definitely return if ever in the area again.

Beautiful meadow campsite near the Rogue River. The site perfectly fit our two vans, and there was enough room for the cute pup on our trip to run around. Our site had everything we could want; a fire pit (got there before the ban), table and chairs for 4 as well as a hose for putting out the campfire every night. There was also a very clean potty, as well as an outdoor shower, we didn't use that but would if we stayed longer.

We only stayed 1 night but had a lovely time. Rebecca is very pleasant and her communication was great. Everything was just as stated so our expectations were met. We loved being in the Oregon pines but with easy camping access.

Lots of trees and bushes and pretty sloping hill landscape. When I was there, I was the only person occupying any site so it was peaceful and relaxing, a little highway noise in the background at times but still really nice. Bugs and poison oak around did not really bother me but be aware it is out there. Had a great experience really.

Tall trees that blend into the star filled skies above. The always coveted and deeply appreciated grass at camp is always a game changer. Leveled, spacious makes you feel secluded in nature, yet less then 30 mins from the freeway makes it incredibly convenient. I have a family of 5 and we do a road trip from LA to WA every summer to visit family. This is our 4th stay and won’t be our last. Rebecca is incredibly kind, easy to communicate with and very forthright. My wife describes this as “her all time favorite campsite's” of the ones we visit regularly.

Site 1 - Lower Meadow
As a first time camper this was an amazing experience and camp site. My husband traveled from SoCal with our two dogs and this camp site had enough space for them to run around, especially when we were the only ones left at the campsite. There were other campers at the other sites but ours still felt like a private experience. She had all the amenities we needed, such as firewood, fire-pit, grill, water station and restroom. Overall, would recommend and we will definitely be returning in the near future to try out the other campsites

This is such a sweet little spot. We stayed in spot 1. The meadow is lovely. And the property is quiet and peaceful. Plenty of space for our family of 4 to play games. The owner was wonderful and it was nice to visit with her. The outdoor shower was a nice addition! We would definitely stay here again if we were in the area.

Wonderful place to stay! Not a lot of other campers, clean, well-maintained - I had a wonderful week relaxing here with my dogs. Host is super friendly and attentive to campers' needs. This particular site is huge - room for the dogs to run when nobody else is there - and the electricity, water, and fire pit were super!
