Green Crest is an active Memorial Park (cemetery) adjacent to Highway 18 between Portland and the Oregon coast on the South side of Sheridan. This property makes a great stop over while en route to your final destination, but is also a great getaway if you'd just like to relax in a natural setting while having conveniences near by. **if you have an rv that you are planning to back into the site, please enter via the 'exit' as it will allow better positioning to back in. otherwise use the drive marked entrance.** If you have young ones, the park next door has a playground and a stocked fish pond. We also have a pond on sight that is perfect for viewing birds, beaver and having morning coffee. You're also welcome to bring your kayak and or paddle boards to get out on the water for fishing or just floating the pond. There is the occasional Deer, coyote and raccoons all around on the property. Two minutes from your site, you will find 24 hour gas and diesel; Subway, Riverside Cafe, Bennie Huies Chinese and the local Grocery store. Did I say there is a Dairy Queen 5 minutes way? Nearby Ballston Road offers a great rural road system from which to explore by bicycle. Points of interest both out in the wild and more metro are all within an hour drive. We can direct you to some little known sites that offer a great day trip.

This space is next to our private pond. The ground is flat but a a bit bumpy. What to expect: A nice view of the pond, (bring your floatings, paddle boards, kayaks) which does have Bass, Blue Gill and Yellow Perch - Catch and release unless you are eating them during your stay. A fire ring is also available for non windy days. Later evening so peaceful though afternoons will cool you with a breeze. You May either back in or pull through. Site is fairly primitive, we do have grass this year - new photo pending. Two kayaks available part time. Caretaker is on site if needed. During the warm season, expect windy conditions afternoon until early evening.

Park your rv on the improved lot which is positioned to allow a view of the cascade range (on a clear day); wander the property and find a nice place to relax and read a book either by the pond or on the east facing hill. The Small pond offers bass, bluegill and yellow perch -- not easy to access, so bring boots. A nice float in your kayak is fun as well (launch site is primitive). There is a city park south of us about 2 minutes which has stocked fish pond and a playground for children. We are a working cemetery and you may enjoy reading grave stones and even looking for relatives. You will have this space to yourself, though there is a caretaker close by.

Prefect little personal site with your own pond. I really enjoyed my weekend here! I don’t fish but I could see them jumping all weekend. Nice fire pit and a gas grill if you need. Got water and electric hookup. Joel is a super awesome and kind human!

We had a blast at Joel’s place with our kids and dog. It was relaxing being right on the water. We had some fun nearby outings including milkshakes at Alf’s, the Mason-Rivera sculpture garden, and Evergreen Wings and Waves water park. On site we enjoyed kayaking, exploring the cemetery, watching the beavers and turtle, and of course s’mores! Joel was a very gracious and generous host.

Fantastic pond side site in view of wildlife. Lots of space to set up on level ground. We thoroughly enjoyed watching the birds, beavers and otters. My husband caught several fish! Walks in the cemetery were very peaceful. Joel was pleasant and truly wanted to make our stay perfect- and it was! We definitely plan on returning.

Joel was very easy to talk to an was very giving with having kayaks available to use on the lake an also supplied firewood so made some yummy samores an enjoyed the fire an smoke the best part about camping. definitly go again as its very close an convenient to where i live

I booked this last minute on Fourth of July weekend and was surprised to be able to even get a spot. I was a little nervous that it was available and the location but once we got there, it was amazing. Joe was very kind offered us a lot of extra amenities and gave us tips on fishing. There is also a lot of creeks and rivers and things to do within 10 minutes. But really you don’t even need to leave with the pond and the beautiful view. Long story short I will go there again. Great place and close to lots of other fun activities.

This is a wonderful place to camp. We parked our trailer right next to a peaceful little lake with beaver swimming around and birds chirping. Joel had electricity and water for us. He even came and got our garbage bag to dispose of. It was kind of funny to pull our trailer through the cemetery but it was fine and we would certainly go back.

Such a peaceful site - lots of privacy and the pond view is fantastic. Dogs loved exploring and the area is very safe. Host is helpful but stays in the background - allowing guests to enjoy at their own speed. If the weather was better, I'd be kayaking the pond.

This was our second time here. We loved watching the bald eagles fly overhead and beavers working on their dam. The host is absolutely stunning. We highly recommend the campsite!

Popped in for a quick trip, we spent about a week at Joel’s! We enjoyed the privacy and calmness of his place, good connection to electricity, water and WiFi plus easy access to a restroom if needed! Joel is a kind and helpful host! We encountered some engine problems while we were there and he was quick to offer us assistance in jump starting our rig! We appreciate him for that. We would definitely stay there again, but next time we’ll spend some more time on the pond and go fishing. (He has Kayaks available to use too!)

Don't let the fact it's at a cemetery spook you! This was such a great place to stay. The view is pretty nice, the pond, although pretty tough to access... was a nice touch. And the host even met us on site and showed us around. Definitely worth the price if you are going through the area.

We had a great peaceful time-it is a beautiful spot with a beautiful pond. Joel was a great host-quick to respond to questions and very helpful. The site felt secluded and serene. We loved kayaking in the pond and sitting under the stars.

This site is beautiful, level, and Joel is an amazing host! We loved staying here and would definitely stay again. Joel let us know ahead of time that we may need a 50 amp adapter for our 30 amp travel trailer. He also helped me with backing in so that I was placed the best way possible at the site. This meant that getting settled in was easy and fast. We had a beautiful sunrise over the water visible from our bedroom window, and the sunset visible over the cemetery from our living room. There is also a very nice patio area with the fire pit, with plenty of firewood always available. Joel is very helpful and checked in on us periodically to make sure everything was going well, but it also often felt as if we were the only ones here (in a good way!). It's incredibly peaceful here, and is conveniently located to pretty much anything you may be interested in doing. If you're on the fence about staying, definitely come try it. It's one of the favorite places I've camped since childhood due to the peace and privacy it offers.

What a great setup !!! I needed a same-day, dog friendly site after my originally planned hipcamp fell through.. our host Joel was extremely welcoming, friendly and accommodating to both me and my pup! :) There were clear directions to the site & quick responses to any questions I had for Joel. I was able to set up my tent right next to my truck & in front of his lovely stocked pond- the plot had plenty of privacy and room to unpack all my camping supplies and cook up dinner :) There was free firewood and 2 free kayaks to use (wow!!!), a running hose for water, an extension chord for electricity, and a super clean porta-potty right up the hill! :) My dog was able to run around freely and he loved Joel… seriously- What more could you ask for!! Gorgeous sunrise and sunset.. barn kitties and doves.. secluded and private but I felt very comfortable and safe as a solo female.. I can’t think of any complaints! Will definitely come visit again when I need a safe, clean, and friendly spot to stay on my way to the coast. Thank you so much Joel!

A great little spot away from it all. Within short distance of a couple towns. Which is nice to have as an option. Some great things around the area like hikes and a cool sculpture garden. The cemetery is quiet and shouldn't put people off. There was a little noise Saturday morning from work trucks. Cleanest best smelling porta potty we have ever been in! Joel was an amazing host and made sure we had everything we could need and more. Bonus: we all saw the biggest, brightest shooting star we have ever seen!

Joel is awesome! We ended up having to show up very late and he was very gracious and welcoming regardless of the hour. We had a big group and he accommodated us and was overall a big help and generous with the use of his property and belongings. The setting was so quiet and peaceful, yet the convenience of town just a minute away.
