What a spot! We loved camping on Kathleen and Grady’s land right next to the river. It was so peaceful, beautiful views, and just what we were looking for after a few days of backpacking in the Eagle Cap. We will definitely be back!

What a wonderful place Grady Sr. and Kathleen have created on their beautiful farm. The Glamping tent was perfect for exploring the Joseph area.
The nights were quiet and the bed was the most comfortable we've ever slept in. The outdoor shower was the perfect way to relax after a day on the trails. Very private and sitting on the front deck watching the sunsets over the mountains will be memorable.
We will surely be back when in Joseph. Thanx Grady Sr and Kathleen. So great meeting you both. Shelly and Shelley

Large private spot just a few feet from the river. Good sky views, deer in the adjacent fields, and great for dogs off leash. Centrally located for adventures in Enterprise and Joseph. The facilities are as advertised and shown in the attached photos.

Great space to tent camp. Plenty of room for the dogs to play and the sounds of the river always playing in the background. Felt private. The sky is big and offered beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Convenient location close to both Joseph and enterprise. The host, Grady, was easy to communicate with if we had any questions or needs.

We absolutely LOVED our time at Kathleen and Grady's Hipcamp! Although we'd initially booked it as a backup since Wallowa Lake State Park was full, it ended up being a real highlight of our trip... totally worth it for such a unique experience. The site was enormous and peaceful, and Grady was so thoughtful to give us great local recommendations, replace our drinking water, and check in about our stay. The creek was such a bonus, too... both for us and our dog. We all enjoyed soaking our feet after a long hike up the nearby Hurricane Creek Trail (Grady, you were right... totally worth it!). Next time we camp in the area, we won't even need to check the campground openings... we'll go straight to this place. Thank you so much, Kathleen and Grady. Your place is so special and it was hard for us to leave! - Jenny and David

Oh boy was this perfect. The property is beyond what was expected. Wide open spaces, Grady was beyond helpful and we loved the proximity to activities without having to stay near them lol!!

Great place to tent camp and to get away from the crowds. Only 5 minutes to Joseph and only 10 minutes to Wallowa Lake. The tent site is very well kept, quiet, and right next to the Wallowa River. I would highly recommend staying here. Thank you Grady and Kathleen.

We loved our stay in the glamping tent at Evan’s Farm! Kathy and Grady were so welcoming and helped us find our way even in the dark!
We woke up to the most stunning view of the farm with the mountains behind and ponies there to greet us! We got an insider tip from Grady on an amazing hike, went paddle boarding at Wallowa Lake and ended the night with a fire and s’mores at the farm!
Kathy and Grady have thought of and provided everything to make it the easiest glamping trip and the bed lived up to the hype! We were so cozy and comfortable.
Thank you for hosting us and we can’t wait to come back and stay longer!

We loved our stay at the Evans Farm glamping tent! The property is beautiful, the tent is awesome (with a super comfy bed!) and the amenities are great. You’re also only a few minutes from town and the lake - so we got to enjoy all the best Joseph has to offer. Grady Sr and Kathleen were awesome, communicative hosts. You’ll love it here!

The glamping tent was a perfect spot to enjoy so much peace and quiet and amazing views from the deck (and from bed!) of the majestic Wallowas. Great location to explore the area, swim or fish in Wallowa Lake -- crystal clear and super warm in August. The bed was so comfy and easy cooking set up with all you need. Fun to shower near the stallions with goats around :)) Grady was such a warm and friendly host. Wish I could have stayed longer!!!

It's a great location (away from the crowds), with spectacular views of the sunset, sunrises and mountains. Accommodating campsite for both humans and pets. They met me at the site to give me a run through of any questions or concerns. We had everything that we needed to refuel and enjoy for the next day's activities. I will visit again. 10/10!

Great little basecamp from which to explore the magnificent Eagle Cap Wilderness of the Wallowas. Very close to town, Lake Wallowa, and many trailheads. I was greeted by the host who gave me a personal little tour of the spot, which I really appreciated. Sunshower next to the river and jugs of fresh water were a very nice touch. My dog and I enjoyed coffee by the river each morning and dinner as the sun set behind the trees in the evening. Fun little spot on a wonderful piece of land.

Beautiful piece of property with mountain views and a river running steps away. Very private but also close to town (5 min drive). We were told that we were the first folks to bring a camping trailer onto the property. It's a steep entry from the road and fairly bumpy in the pasture, we made it just fine but I'd strongly recommend only lightweight RVs and trailers with good ground clearance. We watched deer and birds roam by all day and stayed out to watch the stars come out. No one else in site. Went into town the next day to watch a local rodeo, we lived it all.

Wonderful camping spot right next to the river. Grady was a great host and made sure to give us the lay of the land when we arrived. Compost toilet, solar shower, and drinking water provided at the camp site. We’d definitely stay here again.

We loved camping here! We had a lot of land to ourselves and the river/creek was beautiful, our dogs loved it! They were in dog paradise. The toilet could be moved to a more private bushy area, they provided toilet paper and sawdust for it. They had an outdoor gravity shower that we used when it got a little darker outside. They provided water as well. Overall it was a blast and spent more time at the camp then we thought we would!

Great spot for car camping! We slept in our truck (no tent) and appreciated the solitude and open space of Pine Tree. The space is very wide open and sprawling, but there were shady spots to pitch a tent should you bring one. The river access was lovely on a hot afternoon! Grady and Kathleen were super nice hosts- we loved chatting with Grady about hikes and good eats in the area. And it was about a 3min drive into Joseph and maybe 15min from trailheads - so location can’t be beat. We will be back!

This is a very simple camping spot with semi-privacy. You can choose from many areas on their land, though, some with total privacy. The owners were great about refilling their camping shower bladder for us every other day and also our 5 gallon water jugs. They are friendly and warm.
I think next time I'd choose the glam pin tent option, though bc you get a really nice porch overlooking the incredible Wallowa mountains.
In July 2023, we camped by the river that runs through their land and it was gloriously cool in the shade of the trees over the river. Otherwise, hot, hot, hot!

The care to create a “bathroom” complete with shower was next level. First Hipcamp to provide the opportunity for a morning polar plunge in the river followed by a makeshift shower under the tree. Five stars for that experience.
Lovely hosts offered several tenting options for us. Glad to have an SUV for uneven pasture and steep inclines.
A bit pricier than some other stays - but camping in Joseph is hard to come by and the views can’t be beat.

The setup is everything you can also for! Waking up with views of the mountains was amazing! Interacting with all the animals was enjoyable as well! Definitely coming back!
