I absolutely loved this spot, it was private and beautiful with great coverage with all the trees. The porta potty was clean and well maintained. We also bought firewood and some of it came pre cut in tinder and kindling!! Jason was very communicative and understanding with quick replies.

The county bathroom is out of order and the locals were making a lot of noise Saturday night along the river with fireworks and car races, but otherwise it was a nice spot to camp a few nights.

We stayed at Foley’s River Camp from July 17–20th and really enjoyed some unique aspects of the site. The location right on the river was beautiful, and we especially appreciated being the only campers there—it felt private and peaceful during the day. The fresh eggs waiting for us when we arrived was lovely, and our dogs loved being able to roam off leash.
That said, there are a few things future campers should be aware of. The site was not exactly as pictured or described in the listing. The county toilet that was supposed to be available was closed, leaving us without bathroom access (thankfully we brought our own portable toilet). The site is also quite close to the highway across the river, and traffic noise was loud at night. Lastly, while access to the river is possible, the path is steep and requires use of a rope—which may not be ideal for all guests.
Overall, it was a beautiful spot with potential, but the listing would benefit from updated photos and a more accurate description to help campers come prepared.

Great to have a spot last minute for Fourth of July weekend.
Rooster was mega loud at 3am and at sun up. Also the toilet, a public pit toilet, had no TP and was super gross. The water is also delivered by a hand pump and comes directly from river that was hard to use. Bring all your own drinking water.
Host recommendations:
Keeps the pit toilet taken care of between visits from the county.
Run potable water from house to campsite
Maybe even add an outdoor shower and composting toilet/outhouse on site.
Remove the rooster or keep him far from the site.

For needing a place to stay after a long day of driving it was okay. It felt weird accessing the spot right through the private homes driveway with out any signage saying we were in the right spot. It felt private enough but you hear the people at the public boat launch right next to it and across the River was also a public access point. There was someone over there from between 2am-4am screaming every profanity you could think of. We slept as much as we could and left about 9am the next morning not wanting to stay much longer. Has potential to be an awesome spot.

AWEFUL... DO NOT RENT!! HIPCAMP SHOULD BE ASHAMED TO EVEN HAVE THIS ASSOCIATED WITH THEIR APP! THE SECOND GETTING ONTO THE PROPERTY ITHOUGHT IF I SLEEP HERE I'M GOING TO WAKE UP WITH SOMEONE WEARING MY FACE!! THRE WAS A TENT SPOT AND A RV SPOT, THE TENT SPOT WAS A HOMELESS CAMP I PULLED INTO THE RV SPOT, MUST OF HIT A WASP NEST BECAUSE I COULDN'T EVEN GET OUT OF THE CAR THEY WERE SWARMING AROUND SO BAD! THERE WAS A DOG CHAINED UP ABOUT 15 FT AWAY THAT WOULDN'T QUIT AGGRESSIVELY BARKING AT US! NO ONE STOPPED HIM OWNER OF PROPERTY DIDN'T COME OUT OF HIS HOUSE! I CONTACTED THE OWNER AND BROUGHT THIS TO HIS ATTENTION ABOUT HOW MUCH HE LIED AND THIS WAS NOTHING LIKE THE AD ON HIPCAMP! AND ABOUT THE HOMELESS ETC. WE DON'T HAVE HOMELESS HERE AND LAUGHED. IT WAS ALL I COULD DO TO LEAVE. OF COURSE I'M OLD SCHOOL AND DIDN'T TAKE PICS!! SO I'M PROBABLY OUT $200

We were in site #1 which was tucked in the woods beside the river. Very private, and just enough room for our camper van.. Tons of wild blackberries at site which the owner allowed us to harvest, which was a great treat!! Would stay again.

The entry way into the camp was half way blocked by a tree that made it almost impossible to pass with 12 feet tall RV. Somehow we were crazy enough to make it.

Great off grid location close to amenities of town but privately situated on the river with your own private access for swimming, kayaking and vewing. Plently of space and choices of camp sites and group size. The RV spot Foley offers has power if you rent that. Camping area has a small water pump system for camp use (non-potable). Great all-to-yourself location. Nice farm atmosphere with goats, cows, and chickens nearby. Great location for day trips to the coast-Bandon, beaches, and forest areas for hikes. THANKS!

We had a good time and this is a good space. The only draw back was some of the adjacent factors, like the activity on the other side of the neighboring boat ramp, such as all night car movement and somebody yelling incoherently that freaked our kids out a bit and kept them awake. Definitely weren't sending the kids to the public restroom over there without an adult. I was hesitant to post this because none of this is the fault of the property owner, but this seemed like an ongoing circumstance and not one just isolated to that weekend. One other thing is the water pump coming directly from the river, not potable. We had a great time otherwise and the fire pit, picnic table, and tent spaces are well maintained

The site is lovely spacious and private but it’s very near to industry and traffic. I also had trouble finding the entrance because I was unsure about entering private land without explicit instruction.

Foley Camp was an absolute 10 out of 10! We had a great time staying there for a night, it's a beautiful little campsite on private property sitting right on the Coquille river. We found it quite easy to find the driveway and made our way past the house/farm and to the campsite, which is absolutely beautiful. Plenty of space for a group, more than enough for the two of us and our doggie, who had a ball playing around in the campsite and watching chickens run around. I would absolutely recommend this campsite, excellent for tent camping, it felt very private and spacious in a very chill canopied setting. The site has a great picnic bench and fire pit with a clean and stocked porta potty and garbage cans. It is certainly not dead silent in the evening with the town sitting just across the river, so if you are the type that needs that you may be better off with more deep woods BLM land style type camping anyways. But for a Saturday day trip to Whiskey Run Trails for some great mountain biking, staying at Foley on a Friday night was 100% a perfect choice, and we will definitely be back! Also get the dozen eggs add on, they are awesome :)

Return guest. The working farm setting with it's camping area backed up to the river offers variety of experiences, from farm animals (including chickens and ducks), wild life viewing from the many private riverbank vantage points (think about bringing that hammock), set in a mix of shade and dappled sunlight in a willow grove. The farm fresh eggs are awesome and you might have blackberries galore (if you catch the right season). Campfire every night! If you're expecting a quiet rural escape this isn't quite that, as some reviews have noted the highway is close with typical sounds, but it's not constant and the proximity to the town amenities like groceries, and restaurants, etc are a bonus.
The owner is available if required, but otherwise you have everything privately to yourself.

Easy instant booking, town and stores a short drive away, shaded tent sites show up and feel at home for a couple days , get the eggs they are the yummy ones chickens all out chasing bugs makes for great eggs, the river has tidal influence and lots of fishes for the kiddos , worms worked best for us , easy peasy we'll be back!

Enjoyed the stay. Lots of room for tents and a nice picnic table. Clean porta-potty. River location was nice, we spent more time on the public beach because the private one was very small. Not very isolated, but enough trees that it still felt private.

Sweet little spot. Shady gravel right next to the river. Could have launched a kayak or SUP. Tight squeeze for our A liner trailer:small trailer like a pop up camper. Definitely road noise from across the river on route 42

FRC was great! Jason and his family were super accommodating and even welcomed us in last minute and late at night. The campsite was very cool with trails to the river, trees to climb and animals to visit. Plus, the blackberries were delicious. We found the visit to be a real treat and we are grateful for the hospitality and cool location. We recommend highly.

Fishin’ for bass on the river every evening was such a blast. Yes you can hear sounds day and night from the working town from a far but we didn’t mind at all. Sweet little farm, wandering ducks and chickens. Camp set up was perfect. Carved out flat spot for our tent in the trees. Great little picnic table too! Had a wonderful stay.

Great location for exploring the coast and if you have a boat, the boat ramp is literally a few feet away. There is some definite road noise, but I would take that any day over the noise of a crowded camp site. There were a couple of different places for tents, depending on size. The fire pit was our favorite thing. We never did venture into the water, but if we stayed again, we definitely would. Jason is very friendly and helpful!

We were extremely disappointed by our stay with Jason. When we showed up Jason was extremely hard to get a hold of, he didn’t answer our phone call when we got there to confirm we were in the right place. The pictures posted are extremely misleading and did not represent the location at all. The sites were small and we never met Jason. We had a younger person met us after a few texts to Jason trying to confirm we were in the right place.
No signage. The porta-potty was really gross and unkept.
I wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone but especially solo campers or just two people in tents. We didn’t feel safe. Luckily we were in a camper van and and we felt safe staying that night and left quickly in the next morning. If we were tent camping we would have left and found another place to stay.

To get to the campsite, you drive through Jason’s yard into a forested grove surrounded by thick vegetation on a bluff overlooking the Coquille River. The site is totally private, out of view of the house and farm. There is river access down two steep paths, but the best access is from the adjoining free day use public beach and boat ramp. That is where the main photo for this listing was taken. The campsite is right across the river from the town of Coquille so it’s easy to get ice and groceries, or visit the restaurants and shops. Coquille is warmer and less foggy and windy than the coast, and kayaking and boating on the river is great fun. If you are a strong paddler you can time the tides and go up and down river with them with no need for a car shuttle. We enjoyed the privacy and the view of the river, and the farm animals were an added delight. The chickens and the ducks are free range so you may have visitors in your campsite, and there is no need for an alarm clock because the roosters start crowing at dawn. Other things to consider: the tent sites are not as level as they could be (the grass is lumpy), and there is some dog poop but there’s a shovel for that, and this stretch of river parallels the highway so there is a lot of road noise. All in all, it was a good set up for us. We enjoyed our stay.
