Amazing campsite atop ridge. Super views of surrounding hills and forest. Getting to this primo option required 4wd, but they had other sites that didn’t need this. A new farm worker showed our family around the next morning and my kid got a kick out of meeting the baby cows, hogs and chickens. Not recommend for meat-is-murder types. This is an active and working raw milk farm. It was an honor to spend the night here and learn a little about the animals and land.

Beautiful property with welcoming and generous hosts. We hiked the hills, and pet baby cows, horses and pigs. My family, including 2 kids (7 and 10) , also got to watch cow milking and the kids had lots of questions. The hosts were all patient and friendly so we learned a lot. It was very muddy (in April), and we weren't very prepared for that. The hosts were even kind enough to share boots. Overall it was an excellent experience.

We had a really nice stay at Best Friends Farms. Beautiful views, swimming in the pond, feeding the pigs and hanging w/the cows. Thanks for the fresh milk too!

Beautiful area with fantastic green rolling hills. The cows were so friendly and we loved interacting with them. We camped down on the pond and had a chorus of bull frogs singing all night

We loved our stay! The farm is remote and beautiful, the cows are sweethearts, and Benjamin & Sonja are super hospitable.

We arrived at Best Friends Farm late afternoon where Sonya, our host greeted us. She gave us a few options as to where we could set up camp. We could explore 90 acres of their forest and camp anywhere within or camp under the big oak tree. We decided to camp under the oak tree and be closer to the amenities. Besides our host family, our neighbors included sheep, geese and cows. After setting up, we hiked into the forest, saw some peaceful cows, and helped feed the pigs. Sonya & Benjamin have many plans for the farm like setting it as a permaculture & sharing their homestead expertise. If you dig the vibes and smells of a farm, this place is perfect. Overall, Best Friends Farms felt like home & took me back to the days as a child when I visited my grandparents farm.

this is such a lovely place to camp! it's private and the hosts were really great. my partner and i stayed here for the eclipse and it was really spectacular!

I came to BFFarm with 3 of my travel companions in a Westfalia camper van on our way up to Oregon to chase both our dreams and total solar eclipse totality. We were pleasantly surprised when we got to experience the most INSANE starry night we had ever seen in our lives from the campsite at Best Friends Farm.
Highlights:
-stars at night are bonkers amazing
-you can cuddle with the baby pigs in the morning
-Sonja is so sweet and has a dope potato tattoo on her chest
-views
-convenience right off the 5

Mushroom Valley Farm
We made a reservation very late during the day and Benjamin answered to us very quickly to confirm it. That's saved our trip since we all the hotels were full (#eclipse2017). We setup our tents in the very large field with the curious cows who came to visit us during the night. It was fun. The view is amazing, the sky was crystal clear so we could enjoy the summer sky. A good spot, not too far away from the i-5, to take a break and enjoy a relax evening.

The farm has a lot of land, so it's likely that you'll have a lot of space to yourself. The area is quiet, and it's really convenient to be able to use a full restroom with shower nearby. When I arrived (August 2017) the entrance driveway was very lumpy, and I was having trouble getting my Civic up the slope. Thankfully Sonja was there, and she was super helpful and friendly and even drove my car up the drive for me. If I'm ever passing through the area again, Best Friends Farm will be first on my mind for places to stay!

Amazing place!! the views are stunning, the animals super friendly, a cat that was our companion the whole night :). I fell in love with the little piggies as well and the super friendly cows.
Sonja and Benjamin are super great hosts... very attentive and responsive, we got lost and arrived super late... and they were waiting for us and helping us find the place until the last moment.
We will come back as soon as we can... I recommend it 100% :)

Benjamin was a great host! We camped in a little space about 40 ish yards from the house. He opened up his home to us for bathroom/shower/water etc as well. We explored a forested area near the farm as well. Lots of cows and other animals around but none were around the camp area. Overall, if you're in the area this is a great place to go and Benjamin was super accommodating! Wish we could've hung out more.

I had a great stay here! The landscape is breathtaking and the sunset is beautiful. Though I didn't meet Benjamin, Christian was a great host and showed me a good spot to set up and let me use their bathroom. There are sheep, pigs, geese, and cows on property but their noise didn't bother me at all. Definitely recommend this spot!
