Eagle Mountain Farm and Retreat is located in a picturesque, healthy forest outside Cottage Grove, Oregon. We offer two tent sites, a 20' yurt, and an intimate bedroom bungalow, available year-round for Hipcamp guests. Our mountain property sits at the end of a private residential road, close to I-5 and downtown Cottage Grove. Alongside the hosts’ house, there are a few other residents on the property. The area is rich with recreation opportunities, including biking, hiking, canoeing, boating, mushroom hunting, swimming, hunting and fishing, gold panning, rockhounding, and wildlife viewing. Eugene and the University of Oregon campus (including Hayward Field) are just 30 minutes away. It’s about an hour to the Oregon Coast, 15 minutes to Cottage Grove Lake, and 30 minutes to Dorena Reservoir. Umpqua National Forest is also nearby, with stunning waterfalls such as Spirit, Moon, and Pinard Falls only 45 minutes to an hour away. The Cottage Grove area is known for its covered bridges, mining history, and the scenic Row River Trail bike path. Film buffs may recognize local spots from Buster Keaton’s The General, Stand By Me, and Animal House. You’ll also find nearby farms, breweries, and vineyards offering tours and tastings. We are cannabis-friendly and ask that guests use responsibly. Well-behaved, friendly pets are welcome, but they must be attended at all times, as our neighbors keep goats and chickens. Three pets also live on the property: two dogs (Choco and Nola) and one cat (Cosmo).

Woodland Tent Sites 1 and 2 are located close to each other, in the dense, shady woods on the west side of the property. Tent sites are easy to walk to from unloading and parking area. We have wheelbarrows to help with your gear. Each site has a flat area for a medium to large tent. Both sites together are ideal for families or friends that want to camp close by each other. Guests will have access to an outdoor kitchen as well as communal composting toilets and showers just a 1-2 minute walk away.

Enjoy this super cozy room in the woods! Relax under a beautiful canopy of trees and a starry sky. Quiet and simple with just what you need to have a restful and rejuvenated stay. It has the feel of camping and home at the same time. We offer respite from the busyness of being in town yet close enough to so much! Cozy King size bed and extra sleeping pad available for the loft (not safe for small children). The Bedroom Bungalow is situated directly across from the Eagle Mountain Yurt.

Our 20' Yurt is perfect for your glamping experience. Ideal for a couple or a small family of 3 looking for a fun outdoor experience. The Yurt at Eagle Mountain has a coffee maker, mugs, propane heater, air conditioner, drinking water dispenser, drinking cups, and camp cooler. Bathing, kitchen and sauna towels provided as well as pillows and bedding. There are 2 dressers, a couch and a kitchen table with 6 chairs. Come and enjoy the peace and quite of Cottage Grove! Sip on a nice cup of coffee and listen to the sounds of nature right at the yurt. The yurt is located directly across from the Bedroom Bungalow.

Piece of paradise!

I did hammock camping and it was awesome. The camp spots they have are super sweet, with a nice parking unloading spot right next to their outdoor kitchen. There’s a wheelbarrow to help unload your things(it’s not far, but comes in handy if you’ve got more than a handful) and lots of signs to help direct you to everything. The sauna was pretty much amazing.. almost as amazing as the people there! I would recommend to anyone and look forward to returning!! . Still kinda putting it all together but he has created something wonderful. It was a peaceful retreat in nature.
