Beautiful secluded spot right by a creek for camping and picnicking, with a short 100ft walk to the Santiam, which is also on the property! Camp spots are in a meadow by a creek or right on the bank of the Santiam, which also runs through the property. Beautiful creekside hammock spots and meadow offer plenty of room to relax and play. Enjoy private river access and camping in a wooded area. Campers have access to the entire 2 -acre property excluding the house at the front of the property. A large meadow provides plenty of space for kids and dogs to play by the creek. Cross the footbridge to reach the river to the south. A short walk into Idahna gives the opportunity to dine at the Idahna bar and grill as well as get whatever other provisions you need.Here you’ll find a beautiful meadow to camp in or a tent spot right next to a beautiful creek. The camp spot is in a meadow back from the river, right next to a fire-pit and small creek that feeds into the Santiam. From the camp spot you’ll be able to walk a short distance south down a path to the river for a private sandy spot. Wildernesses are a short drive away. The Idahna country store is a short walk away as well as reliable service. There is a house on the property that is occasionally inhabited but there is plenty of space for privacy.

Cars may pull in. There is an easier place to back in beneath the big maple tree on the corner of main st. And riverside. You may back in the entrance on riverside as well that goes down along the water onto the lawn by the picnic tables. It’s just a little trickier with turns.

Sadie’s campsite was private, beautiful and so peaceful. You have the choice of a beautiful meadow with firepit and picnic table, or (if you can carry your gear about hundred yards) a riverside spot that is so private and gorgeous. We felt like it was our own little paradise. Very close to Detroit Lake (and tasty food carts at Detroit run by friendly folks). We can’t wait to go back!

this was so fun with my group of 8! vast amount of space and the private access to the river was beautiful. very private and peaceful :) the creek that runs through the space added to the calm atmosphere! the stars at night are incredible! helpful that detroit (phone service) is only 10 min drive away with a loaded market of everything we forgot lol

This place was beautiful!! Such a special piece of property with privacy, access, and overall an awesome vibe. The house is closer than expected to the site, but it was quiet when we were there so we didn’t notice much. Hope to come back someday!

Was pleasantly surprised at how beautiful the creek was. The yard is nice and green. Love that it's private with a clean outhouse. It was nice and quiet.
