If you're looking for a resort experience, this is not the place to go. We keep it no-frills (no shower house, wifi or laundry), but we have your back with an on-site RV tech, local golf, a nearby bar and grill, and DoorDash/Walmart delivery straight to your door. All back-in Sites (#1–8): 50-amp and 20-amp only (grab a $12–$13 30-amp adapter at Menards 7 miles east if needed). All pull-through Sites (#9–12): 20, 30, and 50-amp ready. No adapter needed. The Fine Print: NORTH DAKOTA NOTICE OF ASSUMPTION OF RISK AND LIABILITY DISCLAIMER. PLEASE READ CAREFULLY. BY RESERVING A SITE, YOU ARE GIVING UP CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS. By reserving a site and entering the premises of American RV Park, all guests, visitors, and invitees ("Guests") expressly agree to the terms of this Release of Liability and Indemnification Agreement. 1. Acknowledgment & Assumption of Risk: Guests acknowledge that staying at an RV park involves inherent risks, including but not limited to risks from natural elements, severe North Dakota weather events, trees, wildlife, uneven terrain, campfires, utility connections, power surges, water or sewer service interruptions, and the actions of other guests. Guests voluntarily elect to enter the premises and assume any and all risks of property damage, personal injury, illness, or death. 2. Release of Ordinary Negligence: To the maximum extent permitted under North Dakota law, Guests hereby waive, release, and forever discharge American RV Park (including its owners, management, employees, and affiliates) from any and all liability, claims, demands, or causes of action for personal injury, death, property damage, loss, or theft resulting from the ordinary negligence of the park or its staff. 3. Easy Access, very friendly and responsive host, plenty of AC power, and aside from the occasional train (which I didn’t hear because my HVAC units were running) very peaceful! I enjoyed walking down to the “I Don’t Know Bar” for dinner & a drink as was recommended.

Great small park! Veteran owned and cared for. You know it's a labor of love as soon as you drive in. Everything was thought of for our one night stay. We were 30 Amp and they even left us the converter so we could more easily plug into electric. I would highly recommend this park for an overnight stay.

We loved the area as it was close to Theodore Roosevelt National Park and to Dickinson which had a Walmart and several restaurants. We ended up having to stay well over a week because of issues with our truck. Jason and Angela worked with us in extending our time while we waited to get our truck fixed.

Meh. That’s my rating for the “park”. It’s just a grass field in a mobile home park with hook ups. Everything works as it should, but it’s just an open grass field. It was level. I would stay here if everything near the park was full, but I wouldn’t intentionally stay here.

Great camping spot with good central location to both Dickinson and Medora. Not very big park so it was very quiet and everyone was super friendly. Nice spacious sites. Great value for full hook ups! The hosts are very nice and helpful.

This is a no frills campground with full hookups and pull through sites. Price was very reasonable. We stopped for a couple of nights to visit TRNP and found this place very adequate since we were only interested in a place to park. Would stay here again. We camped in a motorhome pulling.

Great spot to camp for the night. No frills, but had all the FHU utilities and everything we needed for a comfortable, safe, clean and quiet experience, all at a great price. Inexpensive and basic campsites.

This is a basic, no frills, inexpensive campground. We stayed several days as we visited Teddy Roosevelt National Park. The campground has full hookups and mostly flat sites. Our campsite was one of several long pullthru's that easily accommodated our 38 foot MH pulling a Jeep. Its about 30-40 minutes to the South part of the NP, and over an hour to the North. No frills means there are no bathrooms or showers which was not a problem for us. This is probably the only campground Ive stayed at that didn't have picnic tables.

Very nice campground. easy access. They are just getting started so gave them some grace. No picnic table. I felt very safe there, I'm traveling alone. Had to wait a bit on the edge of town as they were having a parade, and fireworks that night.

We really enjoyed our stay at American RV Park. We would absolutely stay here again if we’re ever traveling through. Jason and Angela were wonderful and our pull through spot was wide and grassy. We had a tire issue on our fifth wheel while we were there and Jason came by to look at it and provided a recommendation on where to take it to get it looked at. In addition to that, they held our spot just in case we needed to return while waiting for a part for it. Thankfully we were able to continue on the road but we were so grateful for their help, hospitality and great location! We stayed here to explore the south unit of Theodore Roosevelt National Park. it was a perfect location for it. We don’t love being in the middle of the touristy spots so this worked perfectly for us. The view was fantastic! The only possible concern would be if you are a light sleeper, it is right next to a pretty active railroad. However, we loved it! We got to see a train carrying windmill blades which was pretty cool!

This was an no frill's site in a small town with all the amenities. Plenty of room for backing in sewer, water and electrical all.Easily accessed. About 20 minutes from a larger city that has restaurants etc.

Great Location for TR Park

Great location only 30 minutes to Medora and the Teddy Roosevelt National Park South Gate and 45 minutes to the North gate. Only 15 minutes from Dickinson, a large city. Quiet little new campground. Our sites are level but in the grass. Plenty of parking for our towed vehicle. The utilities are new. I would definitely stay here again.

Sites are very un-level. Parking area needs gravel so they're not so muddy during the rain. Power needs upgrade to include 30 amp service.

Nice to know that Jason is an RV repair technician! That could come in handy if needed. We had some scary storms move through Jason checked on all his campers and told them where the storm shelters were.

Lovely Stay & close to TR Nat'l Par

Great RV park for exploring Teddy Roosevelt Nat'l Park, Medora, and the Enchanted Hwy. Site was mostly level, 50amp electric was strong, good water pressure, & spacious. Jason and Angela are great hosts and even helped a neighbor with his camper issue. Park is small and clean, grass mowed, and far enough off of I94 that there is no hwy noise. There are RR tracks thru town, so you will hear the trains from time to time. When back thru the area, we will definitely stay again, but will try to get sites 8 or 12 for an unobstructed view to the south.

Not what we expected

SITE #12 - 100 ft Pull-Through
Overall not a bad experience,just wasn't thinking it was in between residential area which some were pretty run down. Site twelve was nice as it faces the open field. Long site with full hookups. Lawn was mowed and area was clean. Jason and Angela very welcoming and friendly. Served our purpose for exploring the area, especially Theodore Roosevelt National Park and Medora . Also close to the Enchanted Highway.
