Pineola was an excellent experience! The hospitality was top notch! Tony was informative and always willing to help if needed. The grounds and bathhouse was clean and the taproom was a great added benefit. 5 stars and definitely suggest to friends for places to visit! Thanks so much for hosting!

Amazing place! Perfect for bigger groups as well, complete with a bonfire place and clean washrooms! Definitely a go-to for a first time camping experience!

Fun place to camp!! We stayed at site #2 which felt the most "private" of the 7 sites, though its not an especially private campground. Sites had very nice raised gravel pads for tents, a picnic table, and a nice fire ring. The bathhouses were top notch - super clean and well-maintained. We did the live music on the back patio of the inn Friday night which was fun and unique for camping (in the summer they typically do live music on friday and saturday evenings). Convenient location to tons and tons of amazing hiking - you can be anywhere in 15 minutes. We also were able to grab pizza and Mexican food from two nearby restaurants, making for easy, worry-free, dinners. Our kids loved the campground and it felt safe for them to wander around on the trail. While the tent sites are to the back of the property, this is still very much on-the-grid and light sleepers may want to bring a little battery operated white noise machine to block out the cars on the roadway (it was not terribly loud, just don't expect only the sound of crickets). I would absolutely stay here again and would recommend to friends coming up here to visit.

The tent sites at the Pineola were nice with a gravel tent pad surrounded by nice soft grass, a picnic table and fire pit. The bathrooms were nicer and cleaner than I’ve ever seen at a campground. The 2 stand alone bathrooms had a toilet and shower with locking doors. Even though it was a busy 4th of July weekend I never had to wait. The taproom had a large selection of beers and live music on the deck. The food truck was convenient after a long hike. We were happy to not have to cook. We are planning on coming back soon. Lots to do in that area from checking out quaint mountain towns to remote hiking and fishing.

We had the best time! Secluded private tent site with amenities (tap room, outdoor games, coffee truck, clean bathhouse) made for a great little getaway! We will be back!

The automated text was very clear on the location of the tent site. The bathroom and showers were very close to the tent camping sites with the RV sites. They had a pub and a spring festival that weekend for Mother’s Day and we enjoyed it very much!

Very convenient and clean, but a large setup with rvs, cabins, and rooms, which is fine if you want that. It was perfect for us because it was off season so no one was around. Great pub on campus and personal were very friendly.

Luckily, we had the tent camping area all to ourselves. There was a wedding reception going on, but we enjoyed the environment. There were a lot of bird sounds this camping trip, but they calmed down through the night. Bathrooms and showers were great and fully stocked.

We slept at tent 2 and it was beautiful and private! Parking and bathrooms were a walking distance. We walked the trail and had a drink at their brewery. Highly recommend and will be coming back in the summer!

The Pineola was awesome, the tent sites are in the back of the complex and are quiet and get dark so you can get a good nights sleep. There is an outdoor sink, heated showers and nice firepits.
There is also a really nice taproom, pickleball courts and basket ball hoops.
We think we found our new spot and are excited to support this place in the future.

Camping here was nice. The tent sites are in a wooded circle but only about 100 yards from the bath house. The bath house is clean with 2 separate bathrooms and a washer and dryer. There are other camp sites near but you can be tucked in your own site. There are also RVs around, but again, your tent site is tucked away in a wooded circle. The overall campground is amazing. There are cabins, tiny houses, and lodging all around. They have pickle ball courts, a basketball goal, a hammock, equipment for all of the outdoor games, and tons of games indoors. You can sing or dance your night away Friday & Saturday at the taproom’s live music. Then in the mornings you can have coffee at the coffee truck. Outside of the campground there are numerous hiking adventures to go on within an 15 minute drive. Overall a 10/10 stay if you’re looking for more to do than just be in the woods!

Beautiful, well maintained community just a mile from the blue ridge parkway and the rest of the NC Highlands. Gorgeous tent camping area. Live music on the deck every weekend night!

This place has a lot of nice features. It has a nice taproom. Even has a beer cave(cooler). Music on Friday nights. We stayed in a tent site. Lots of room with a Gazebo and large fire pit in the center of all the sites. Definitely would recommend.

Fun atmosphere and close to so many great hiking locations. The sites are walk in. We ended up staying in site #2 which had a picnic table fire ring and tent spot. The shower house was well kept and even had laundry machines. The tap room had music bingo on Thursday night and a band playing on Friday night. We had a great time. Would stay again if we’re in the area again. I love what the owners have done to resurrect this place.

Magical! Great variety of options. Very clean, including bathrooms. Taproom made for the classiest camping I’ve ever done. Great live music, bartender, and friendly vibe. Welcoming host- that we hope to see again soon. Campsite easy is navigate, includes covered pavilion and uncovered fire pit with seating to hang out with newfound friends. Thank you for a wonderful time!

We did not realize this these tent sites were quite a walk away from the parking area. You can’t just pull up next to your tent site. The area was extremely beautiful and the bathrooms were so clean. But if you are car camping this is not possible here.

I have a lot to say about this place, and all of it is great. The camp itself was very clean very well organized, easy to access with lots of amenities. The owner and his wife as well as all of the patrons there were lovely and went out of their way to make you feel like you were at home. Highly recommend this place.
