Was at mtg 5. Were supposed to do 2 nights but only stayed for 1. The campsite is very close to the cabin next to it, thankfully noone is there otherwise it would not have felt very private. Walking around, all of the sites were pretty close to each other and/or the road, didnt feel private or secluded at all. The site is on a slope and has a lot of roots/rocks/small stumps that would make it challenging to pitch a tent... The seating provided is a wooden bench, picnic table, and a folding chair. The wood was very green and hard to light, and we received less than we expected based on the description that one bundle is similar to 2 bundles at the grocery store. We ran out of lighter fuel and bought a lighter from the vending machine. It was a standard, small bic lighter and the pricing displayed was $1.50. We were charged $4. The tent was clean but had a very strong mildow odor. The "sofa" (covered folding cushions) was damp. Wasps were hanging out quite a bit at our site, not sure where the nest was but they made their presence known and consistent. In general, it was hard to get comfortable and relax due to seating and the slope. The sun really comes down on the site in the late afternoon. Portapotty was clean. Shower had good pressure and temperature. Night sky was beautiful. Hammocks at communal area were lovely. I recognize that its a newer campground thats constantly evolving, I think there are some "simple" improvements they could make that would have a huge impact. (Level out the site, provide camping chairs, drier wood - or better expectation setting about the wood-, cut the remaining stumps down flush to the ground to eliminate tripping hazards, increase space between sites -or do not advertise as very private-, fix pricing signs in the vending machine) If we wanted to "rough it" more, it would have been fine. But for a "glamping" experience, we felt there were just too many detractors for it to feel enjoyable or aligned w our expectations.
