Full RV hookups
Electrical, water, and sewage hookups are available at all sites.
Mini-campground with full hook-ups and level parking. Our two RV sites are located along a quiet country road, bordered by hay fields and a nearby creek. Each site is outfitted with 50 amp shore power electrical, filtered well-water, septic hook-up and aerial WiFi. Both sites are situated under a light tree canopy and provide partial shade throughout the day. The Rhymer Roost is located ten miles from downtown Asheville NC. Nearby attractions include the Blue Ridge Parkway - 16 miles, French Broad River - 7 miles, The Biltmore Estate - 15 miles, Smokey Mountain National Park - 65 miles, and numerous Western North Carolina waterfalls.

Our Blue Bird Nest is recommended for Motorhomes up to 32' in length. This site is not recommended for travel trailers due to the orientation of the hookups. The Bluebird Nest provides plenty of room for vehicles with double slides and room to park a tow vehicle behind. Please see pictures or inquire for further details.

Beautiful quiet spot

Beautiful pull through spot on quiet two lane road overlooking cleared area to the east. Our 42’ fifth wheel fit perfectly with enough space to park our truck. Internet service provided by Shannon was more than sufficient for streaming and video conferencing. During the month we stayed, we saw deer, otters, turkeys, and other wildlife. Drive in and out is a bit intimidating due to the very curvy and narrow roads - just take your time!

The pull through camping spot was a great stay. Quiet and peaceful. FHU with shade. Very few cars traveled on the road next to property. The other full time camping occupants, Patsy and Joe, were friendly and welcoming. FYI: roads are narrow with low hanging limbs. I look at satellite views when determining my path. Our truck camper at height 13’ 1” made it, but we did “bob and weave” around the trees. Would I stay here again, ABSOLUTELY!!

Nice country location. A short drive to Asheville, the River Arts District and the Biltmore. Also very close to Weaverville for groceries, gas, Walmart and anything else you may need. Only 50 amp service available so you’ll need an adapter if your RV is 30 amp. Great Wi-Fi!

Just as described. Full hookup between the road and a meadow of creek bottom. Very quiet and great WiFi. The Host was very accommodating and allowed us to stay until our morning online meetings were finished. Cute little table and chairs to enjoy the meadow and we saw deer! Warning, if your routing brings you across the bridge on Old Leicester Highway to a right on Old Leicester Road, stay on Old Leicester HIGHWAY!!! Shortcut Old Leicester Road is narrow and winding, we averaged 15 mph with our 24’ trailer!

Quiet and close to Asheville

We enjoyed our stay at Heron Bay Hipcamp site. Convenient location to doing the Asheville area and Blue Ridge Parkway. It was quiet and had nice views of an open field with visiting deer. We were greeted by Shannon upon arrival and felt very welcome there. The pull through site was close to the road, but had very little traffic, so not an issue. It easily accommodated our 32 ft 5er and truck. I would highly recommend staying here.

Nice little semi private property w 50amp and sewer. Facing a field w deer crossing through. Good place to run your puppy and leads down to a pretty stream. Very close to the road so we had to keep the dog on his lead but otherwise clean, safe and quiet. Was even able to get an Uber to go down to Asheville for some music. Couple nice little breweries down the road as well. Shannon was very easy to communicate with. Would recommend.

Quiet setting and very friendly hosts. You are next to the road, therefore you have good access but the road is not busy at all so you have convenience without the noise. If you have a 30-amp rig, just bring your 15 or 50 amp adaptor (we always travel with adapters). Recommend highly, we will stay again!
