Welcome to the Nantahala Adventure Resort! Nantahala Outdoor Center's 500-acre main campus has something for everyone! Perfectly positioned where the Appalachian Trail meets the Nantahala River near the Great Smoky Mountains, NOC has been a destination for outdoor lovers since 1972. Choose from a variety of activities for all skill levels, including whitewater rafting on the Nantahala River, stand-up paddleboarding on Fontana Lake, zip-lining through the tree canopy on our Mountaintop Zipline Tour, and testing your skills at the Treetop Adventure Park + Zip, an elevated ropes challenge course with 16 obstacles. NOC also offers guided and self-guided mountain biking and hiking in the Nantahala National Forest and Great Smoky Mountains National Park. After a day of adventure, guests can refuel at the riverside restaurants Big Wesser Riverside Pub and River's End, browse outdoor gear and local souvenirs at the Outfitter's Store, and relax in cozy cabin lodging nestled in the scenic Nantahala Gorge. Whether you're here for an afternoon or a weekend getaway, NOC offers the perfect basecamp for outdoor fun, family-friendly experiences, and unforgettable mountain memories. Your reservation includes access to NOC's Basecamp Bathrooms and Showers with running water and flush toilets just a short walk away. No off-leash or unattended dogs. Please clean up after your dog. Maximum of two dogs per site. Wi-Fi is not available at your site, but it is available on the main part of campus. No fires except in designated fire pits. There are fire pits at the tent sites. Quiet Hours are 11 pm to 7 am. No generators during quiet hours. Check-in Time is 3 pm. Check-out time is 12 pm. Note: Final price at checkout includes county and occupancy taxes and a nightly resort fee to support campground amenities and guest services.

NOC offers platform tents perfect for individuals or large groups. These raised platform tents offer a closer night’s stay in nature, so you can experience the true sights and sounds of nightlife in Western North Carolina. Choose a full pod of seven tents or book an individual tent. The raised platform provides a waterproof barrier between you and the ground, and each pod can sleep 30. Personal tents must be on platforms. Maximum of two vehicles per tent site. No off-leash or unattended dogs. Please clean up after your dog. Maximum of two dogs per site. No water or electricity is available at the sites. Running water and flush toilets are a short walk away. There are port-a-johns. Birch offers accommodations for up to 11 people with a three-bedroom, one bathroom layout; one queen room, one queen-twin bunkbed room, and a two-twin bunk room. The entire family will love staying in the heart of adventure with access to all of NOC’s outdoor adventures steps from the door! Birch includes a flatscreen HD satellite TV, wireless internet, a large exterior deck perfect for entertaining, an outdoor dining area, heating and air conditioning, and a fully-equipped kitchen and dining table. Check-in is at 3:00 PM at NOC's General Store. Check-out is at 10:00 AM. Note: Final price at checkout includes applicable county and occupancy taxes, a cleaning fee, and a nightly resort fee to support campus amenities and guest services. Birch Cabin is a 3-bedroom / 1 bathroom configuration that can sleep up to 7 people. All buildings are smoke-free.
