Camping, but comfortable! This tiny cabin is perfect for hikers, backpackers, or vacationers who enjoy the simple things in life. It’s not a luxury stay, but it is ideal for an unplugged getaway. Nestled in Cherokee, the rustic cabin offers a peaceful retreat in the Smoky Mountains—quiet and secluded, yet close to all the major attractions. It’s the perfect spot for a fall weekend glamping escape. The cabin is cozy and charming, tucked away in the Great Smokies. While the property has multiple buildings, only a few are in use, so you can enjoy a quiet vacation without the bustle of a busy campground. Inside, the cabin features one bedroom with a double bed—perfect for a couple or a solo trip. The kitchenette is equipped with a full-sized stove, oven, fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. The living room includes a couch and a desk, with a window-unit air conditioner and space heater. Extra blankets are also provided. The bathroom has a shower stall, sink, and toilet. Right across from the cabin is an outdoor area we call the grotto, complete with a fire pit and a small stream. Guests are welcome to relax and enjoy this space during their stay. The cabin has history, too! It was originally used to house workers building Fontana Dam and was moved to this property in the 1980s. Though it shows some cosmetic imperfections, it provides a unique camping experience without the noise of a large campground or the inconvenience of walking to a bathhouse. Please Note: • The cabin does not have a TV or reliable Wi-Fi. • The cabin does not have central heat, but a space heater and extra blankets are provided. • Located in the woods, wildlife visitors are common. As the weather cools, spiders and insects may try to come inside. Please notify us right away if this happens. • The cabin is rustic but has all the basics needed for a mountain getaway. • Cell service may be spotty; Verizon and AT&T work best in this area.Camping but comfortable!
