Cool spot, only downside is the RV site was right next to the road. We did hear cars all night. Tent sites up in the woods are great.

Camping twixt Marshall & Hot Spring

I liked the location & the Fireside site. The instructions for parking the trailer tongue to the back of the site didn't work for us as the width of the spot makes it scary to try to drive the tow vehicle around the trailer to get out. tongue in first also put hook ups on the wrong side of the trailer. Another couple of feet to accomplish the drive around & out would help. That said I enjoyed the wilderness of the area. We made it work, it was fine.

Great amenities, and definitely felt like a sanctuary when I needed a last-minute place to stay. The campsites are as close together as at the state parks. It has a lovely stream and is in a narrow valley, so there is limited sun.

Overland camping with 4 dogs

We loved camping here. We were able to get out class c camper and our overland camp/ truck together to make for a nice weekend get away. We will definitely be recommending this to anyone we know who likes tent camping, overland, or even travel- trailer camper. It has wifi incase anyone needs to work for home or stream tv, the ammonites were clean and well kept.

You won’t regret it!

We stayed at the “Fireside” spot with our dog and had a great experience. We were able to plug in our RV, access a clean potty and shower, wifi, and fresh water for the RV. We were the only guests on site other than one other camper one out of our two night stay. If you are looking for a more private experience- it is possible to see some guests from your camp site, as it is a shared camp- there are a couple cameras for safety as well but I wouldn’t expect this camp to be booked up too often, this is definitely a hidden gem! The drive has a couple switchbacks, very cool part of the experience! Drive slowly to enjoy. It is a stunning view! The native flowers, the low clouds throughout the mountains, the small bridges crossing over the streams, and a hiking trail for some extra steps! The swimming hole allowed for our pup to swim for the first time on his own in fresh water and was a sweet experience. It is quite shallow, great to relax in tubes! The chairs are a bit “rustic”, and the grass is slightly higher in some small areas but truly those things are part of a sustainable and uniquely beautiful camping experience! Try to enjoy yourself and remember you are in nature, respect and enjoy it ♥️ We hope to camp again- Laura communicated very quickly with us and is a great host!

We arrived at 3feather and were surprised by how small the space was. We found it difficult to maneuver our 20 foot trailer into a spot that was advertised as big enough for one as large as 35 feet. The place also needed to be mowed. I almost stepped on a large black snake that I didn't see in the tall grass. The bathroom was clean and had plenty of hot water. We didn't use the laundry facilities, which were expensive relative to other camp locations we stayed at recently. Overall, we found this place to be overly quirky and hard to navigate. We ended up leaving early for fear that the upcoming rain would cause us issues getting out.

This was the most amazing experience. Western North Carolina is beautiful and this property is such a retreat. The tipi was so comfortable. We slept great and enjoyed floating in the swimming hole. Laura and Chris are amazing hosts and have set up the property so well. Clean bathroom, shower, shared outdoor kitchen were all a plus. We will be back!

We loved staying at 3feather! The vibe was so cozy, the owners couldn’t have been kinder, and the facilities are very clean. Our campground (Laurel) was tucked away and private, but not so far that it felt like a trek to reach the bathrooms. Having a fridge to store our food was a game changer! We definitely would love to come again.

Daylily campsite

This week we stayed at the three feathers campground. We were a little concerned about its remote location but it was very close to the whitewater rafting locations. The staff was extremely friendly, the bathrooms were the nicest of our trip and the little creek was a great white noise for tent camping. We had a nice fire and no mosquitoes.

We loved the peaceful escape of 3feather sanctuary. Amazing curvy mountain roads to get there, close enough to nearby towns, great spot to enjoy nature! Love the friendly-ness of the owners, welcoming vibe of the property and all of the nice amenities. The Fireside spot was a little hard to park our truck and camper in, on a steep hill and had to back out, I think I would prefer a different spot at 3feather with the camper next time. Would recommend!

Peaceful Mountain Creek

A beautiful property with various campsites spread throughout. We loved the creek, and walking around the property with our pups. In our 31ft Class C with a car tow, there were a few spots on the mountain road that were dicey, but overall we were able to make it to and from the property safely. Would definitely stay again!

This is truly a one hidden gem of many in the hollers of the mountain but... this one has wifi a kitchen showers a bathroom and a beautiful creek running right down the middle. Would recommend this place to anyone that loves the outdoors and quiet!

Little slice of HEAVEN!! We had such an amazing time at the 3Feathers Camp! Laura and Chris were wonderful host and the property was beautiful and had all the amenities you could need for a comfortable camping experience. They have a very clean bathroom and shower facility. Washer and dryer if you need it and a communal fridge. They provide you with all the firewood you need too! We camped with my 14 year old and he absolutely loved it. There is a nice creek running through the property that lead to a cool swimming hole you can cool off in and even though it was in the 90’s the mountain where the camp is stays well shaded and cool during the summer heat. If you are looking to disconnect from the world and reconnect to nature this is a wonderful spot for you and your family! We will definitely be back and recommend this campsite to everyone. They are also conveniently located to Asheville and cool spots in Tennessee you can visit and don’t skip on Laurel Creek right around the corner!

Truly a sanctuary!

We ABSOLUTELY love our stay! The land was beautiful and peaceful, and the hosts were amazing! Our trip in and first night kind of fell into Murphy's Law territory, but the serenity and good vibes that the land and Laura exuded when we arrived helped wipe all stress and frustration away! Laura and Chris were so kind and helpful the entire time. They were so pleasant to chat with, they interacted with our kids, but they also allowed us our space. It was so wonderful! We will be back as soon as we can. It was so marvelous, educational, and relaxing!

Hot Springs Oasis

Amazing little oasis close to Hot Springs, Asheville, and trails. It has everything - a swimming hole, bathroom, kitchen, plenty of outdoor hangout spots, and even WiFi. The hosts are so friendly and accommodating, and just really cool humans. I enjoyed staying there and the WiFi was good enough to work remotely. Perfect little spot to camp!

Peace and Great Shower!

I loved the remote and peaceful camping on Laura's land. The shower is quite lovely, spacious and unexpectedly pretty with plenty of hot water. It was really nice being able to store some things in the refrigerator and use the great WiFi connection, even though I was also away from the busy world and in the company of birds and fireflies. Laura and her family were friendly and welcoming.

Laurel site.

Beautiful site. Very clean and peaceful. Host provided excellent directions to get there. Be sure to screenshot them and the Wi-Fi code as there is NO service up there. Also, bring a wagon or something to get your stuff to the site. It’s a bit of a walk getting from the parking area to Laurel. I had a family emergency after staying only one night but I would definitely go back. Wi-Fi signal is not good at this particular site.
