Finger Lakes at it's Finest!
Kip and this campsite are phenomenal! This was my second time visiting and I hope to come back again soon. The site is impeccably maintained with nice amenities: gas grill, fire pit, hammock, lighting options. I highly recommend a visit to Honeoye.

Had a wonderful time visiting and would definitely come back! The cabin was well kept, warm and cozy even though it rained for most of the weekend. It was an amazing little retreat for my girlfriend and I. We enjoyed cooking over the bonfire and going for a hike in the near by state park which offered amazing views of the lake. There is an amazing brewery right in town that you can walk to from the cabin as well!

My girlfriend & I had a great experience. The host's are very inviting and friendly. Excellent location with lot's of activities in the area. We will definitely return for another stay at the Love Shack!

Beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. Kippley’s Unplug and Relax Cabin was so beautiful!! Very well kept land and cabin! We loved our views all day, some deer stoped by to say hello, we also really enjoyed the little farm with goats, peacocks, chickens, ducks and the rooster! Kippley was an awesome host very kind and he gave us some places to check out around the area. I highly recommend stopping by The Birdhouse Brewery, the food is amazing along with the beers and it is own by Kippley’s son!! We are already making plans to stay again.

Stay here if you get the chance! From Kip’s friendly greeting when we arrived and the expansive property with tons to explore, to having a beer at the local brewery The Birdhouse, this was a lovely experience! I hope to do it again soon. Thank you for everything, Kip!

Our stay at Woodsedge Retreat was absolutely wonderful! Kippley kindly met us at arrival and showed us around. The Love Shack is cozy equipped with oil lamps, a rocking chair, table, and a comfy bed. The property is beautiful! You can lay on the sunny lawn, wander through the trails, or frolic in a meadow- there are many beautiful things to see! We spent much of our time cooking over the Pine stand fire pit and enjoying the stars. Looking forward to visiting again in the future. Thanks, Kip!

This property is absolutely beautiful and the privacy was everything we were hoping for! There’s also a beach nearby as well as a park with an amazing view. Do yourself a favor and book your reservation! Kippley was a wonderful host

This was such a treat. The site was perfect, a comfy little spot tucked into the corner of a great piece of property. Kip was communicative and sweet, and we even got to have a lovely (socially distant!) drink at Kip’s son’s nearby brewery! Couldn’t have been nicer, hope to be back soon!

We have been camping in camp grounds for years and this was a solid upgrade! Kippley was nice enough to allow our whole family (10!) to camp in tents on the grounds. He was very friendly making us all feel welcomed and checked in with us and made sure we were having a fun time. There was plenty of room and our dogs loved the run on the land! We had campfires every night and during the days explored the finger lakes region with many beautiful beaches, wineries, breweries, and activities for the kids like go carting and horseback riding! The whole family had an amazing time!

I second others' reviews. Kip is so friendly and gracious, and it was a boost to my spirits during a summer when i was Covid-fearful to travel.
Staying in a secluded peaceful spot and able to walk less than 15 mins away to walk down to the lake--what more could we want?
Friends from Roch came out for a campfire and star gazing.
I also set up a tent on the grass.
Just heavenly!

The cottage was perfect! It was in the shade so kept the coolness of the night inside for a while in the morning as well. The porta potty was nice and clean. Was in a perfect location as far as getting to beaches and activities. Cute goats, chickens, and a peacock great you when you arrive! Definitely will come back.

Kippley’s Cabin absolutely exceed our expectations! Upon arrival, we met his beautiful peacocks, chickens and goats ! The cabin was spacious, with a dining table, big bed and a rocking chair. The screen door was a blessing! We were able to cook using the provided gas grill and fire pit. The porta potty, hammock and picnic table were all appreciated luxuries. The land is beautiful, with a small pond on site ! We had a peaceful stay and can not wait to return!

We had a very nice stay. There was a grill, big fire pit and lots of space. The location wasn’t far off the road but It still felt like we were in the middle of the woods. The space was very private. Kippley was very nice and responsive.

We pitched a tent out front and slept under the stars! It feels really private here and is a beautiful site. The shack is really nice and Kippley is a great communicator! I think the directions could be updated as the number on the mailbox didn’t match the number in the listings directions, but the call I had with Kippley totally clarified it for me! Also the goats are cute! Very dog friendly listing!

Our stay at Kips Little Shed was incredible! It was way better than we expected . The property was private and huge, the grass was so soft that we ran around barefoot all day . There were no ticks ! Which was so cool! Our kid loved the fireflies and turtles in the pond and lots of bunnies running around . It is also 5 min bike ride from Sandy Bottom for fishing and swimming . We roasted s’mores on the fire, slept in the hammock during the hot afternoon and explores the beautiful property . No electricity was no prob , we had a little battery pack to charge phones and that’s all we needed ! We will definitely be back!!

The place is even more stunning than we expected it to be. Super adorable decor inside the Love Shack, on a serene private lot surrounded by nature. Be mindful in cooler months it does get cold. Loved our stay, would come back ! Kip was a great host. He recommended us some awesome stops including a brewery down the road his son just opened. The beer and food there was astoundingly amazing. We were so impressed with the flavors. Definitely check it out - we had the paprikash and the Korean tacos! Also be sure to go Sandy Bottom Beach, just down the road. Also recommend to those staying here check out the viewpoint in Harriet Spencer Park, and the Gorge & Hemlock trail (on AllTrails not the official park trail) in Letchworth State Park. ABest surprise of the property? BABY GOATS!

My husband and I stayed for two nights with our pups. The site was accurately described, and actually had even more than we expected. You do truly have the whole property to yourself, which was exactly what we wanted! There were four comfortable outdoor chairs, a hammock, picnic table, porta potty, firepit and gas grill outside. The inside had plenty of seating, including a couch, a table with two chairs, and a comfortable bed. We brought our own bedding as a personal preference, but it's not necessary. There are plenty of gas stations and stores around the corner if you need firewood or groceries, which was nice because we didn't have to worry about keeping items fresh in a cooler for two days. We didn't have any cell service in the area, so you might want to bring maps if you plan on exploring anything nearby. There are a few great breweries that we checked out (and I had printed directions for). We did have a trail of ants marching up and down the wall inside the cabin, but it's camping, and you cannot beat having the inside space, especially if it rains, as it did on our second night! I would stay again!

What a great trip! We had a great time enjoying the beautiful surroundings, reading books in the little pine grove next to the cabin, cooking s'mores over the fire pit, listening to all the different types of birds. We definitely plan on visiting again!

It cannot be overstated how secluded and beautiful this location is. For 3 days, I did not see another human. The grounds are peaceful, and while there is no electricity or running water, it is still extremely comfortable and convenient. The kerosene lamps in the cabin cast a beautiful glow, and the bed is comfy. I plan to return again and again. Kip is a gracious host. Please take my advice and enjoy this heavenly piece of nature.

We had a great time! It is a very quick drive from Rochester but you forget that since it is very secluded; just what we were looking for! Honeoye Lake is just down the road which was beautiful, just like Kips property! Will definitely be back!

We originally headed on over to hipcamp because they were out of sites for the weekend at a state park and we couldn’t have had a better experience. Kip is super friendly and really wanted to make sure we were having a great time with suggestions of places to go and such. All in all, I would choose to stay at a place like Kips over any state park due to the the privacy and land to yourself.

When I arrived a Woodsedge retreat I was very impressed by the beautiful landscape surrounding the site. There was a great view in every direction! Kippley was so kind, he met me at the site, showed me around and made me feel very welcome! Kippley also got me a reservation very quickly and upon short notice which I was so thankful for! I had an amazing quiet adventure walking around the pond and fields, there was a big fire pit, many chairs and tables, it was the total vacation in one place! It is very much worth every moment! I cannot wait until I can return to this magical place. I was surrounded by beautiful nature, had a complete shack to retreat roof needed, and of course I loved the bullfrog symphony at night by the pond. This retreat now holds some of my most cherished memories! I would recommend this for anyone wanting a quiet fulfilling nature getaway! Thanks Kippley!
