We truly enjoyed our stay and plan to be back! Wonderful hosts and the campsite had so many features that added to the experience. Quiet and peaceful too.

12/10, can’t express how wonderful my experience was at Lisa and Thomas’ campsite. There were so many thoughtful touches, from the recently built platform with tarp covering (was so appreciated, especially when it poured overnight), to the campfire and fresh strawberries that were awaiting me when I arrived, to the clean outdoor kitchen, firewood shed, clean bathroom and outdoor shower with hot water… I could go on! As a solo female traveler I felt extremely safe. It can always be a little nerve-wracking traveling alone, especially camping, but I felt completely at ease the moment Thomas walked out smiling and waving. The campsite is so lovely too. There are plenty of places to sit, the babbling broom is lovely, and there are surprisingly few mosquitos. I found it to be a good location, not too far from lake Saranac, placid, and hiking and bike trails.
Communication was great from start to end. I never felt in the dark.
Lisa and Thomas even came down to visit me one night, but they also gave me as much privacy as I wanted.
I will most definitely be back! Just have to decide if I’m going to invite friends or keep this secret to myself.

Thomas was a great host, very friendly very nice, made us feel at home. The camping area was very well thought out, made it feel like glamping while still being able to enjoy the outdoors. 100% will be staying again.

Hosts were absolutely delightful and the site was beautiful and well kept. They made sure we had everything we needed and even gave us fresh tomatoes and flowers. 10/10 recommend and would absolutely go back. This place is so awesome I want to gatekeep it.

I just returned home from three nights at Sweetwood but I still feel as if I'm in a dream. Tom and Lisa have created a peaceful, extremely private, lush oasis nestled by a literal babbling brook. Every detail was considered and artfully executed, from the pristine outhouse to the blue bottles that looked like stained glass embedded above the portal to the outdoor shower - which has hot water! You will not find more charming, generous and welcoming hosts. They met me in person when I arrived, had flowers from the garden waiting in the well outfitted kitchen and sent me off with a honey crisp apple when I left. My only regret is that I could not stay longer. There is a short but steep hill to get to the site, but my Subaru Impreza had no problem handling it. You will also hear the occasional truck on the roadway, but it isn't loud or bothersome (and I am usually extremely noise averse) thanks to the aforementioned hill which acts as a noise buffer, and the camping spot sits back quite a ways. I can't wait to go back!
