High Desert Magic

I would definitely recommend Jennifer's property! If you have a dog, however, I would recommend staying at sites one or two is they are behind her fence and less likely to have coyotes. The views are amazing and Jennifer is an even more amazing host. She made sure that all my questions were answered quickly and directions were extremely clear. Would definitely stay here again but would select a different site since I travel with my dog.

I loved tent camping on Jennifer's land, the directions were super easy to understand and she was a very kind host (sorry again for scaring you lol)! Site one was soo beautiful and we were so grateful to get to spend the night in such a wonderful part of NM. We would stay here again and would recommend if you are in the area to check it out.

The site was exactly as described, with a nice view and all of the amenities. The little touches like the solar lights marking the path to the privy and night were really cool. The solar shower was also super nice and helped take the edge off the sweaty day on the motorcycle funk. I would definitely recommend this site .

Photos not at all representative of location. Gate was closed, nobody there to greet us. Knew I was at the right place, I could see the sign for sites from the street. Did not spend the night at this location.

I loves Jennifer’s property! She was super hospitable and the views were killer, especially at night. The whole property is fenced in which made it feel more secure from night critters. Lots of juniper trees plus a solar shower and outhouse. It was super hot so I will be back in the fall for sure!! Thank you for the great experience!

I’ve never before experienced such absolute quiet at night!! So refreshing! The site was spacious and felt completely private. Jennifer is a lovely person and gracious host - I hope to have a chance to visit again sometime.

We loved our stay here! The sweeping views and the solitude are amazing! The sky opened up at night and the show of the night sky was unbelievable. This will be a regular spot for us when we’re in the area.

Jennifer was an amazing host. She allowed us to stay at her amazing property with just short notice. It was perfect for our road trip that lead us through the NM area. Her property is as advertised, perfect to let our 2 dogs loose off lease, while star gazing under the night skies. We felt safe and secure, and would highly recommend her to fellow travelers. Lovely Energy Up Here!

My dog Zephyr and I just loved the little piece of paradise Miss Jennifer has carved out for herself to share with us Hipcampers. We felt super safe here ~ had all our needs met from the cute toilet, the generous water spigot, creatively placed solar lights along a rock-lined path, abundance of trees, views, and beauty around and that awesome fire-pit, it totally made my night when my fire ignited 30 minutes after my 48 failed attempts! 😄 The next morning, had the best time chatting her up about The Land and the vision! Thank you so much to her and her super sweet dog family!! Highly recommend.

Everything and more that I was looking for in a site. Description, communication and directions were all very clear. The night sky and views were amazing! Although there is a residence on this land, it was not in view and it felt like we were all by ourselves. A solar shower was ready to go when we arrived and there is the most spectacular outdoor toilet.

Quiet, peaceful high dessert camP

Was there just for one night while biking through NM. Had to go up the hill about 3.5 miles from the main road but it was definitely worth it. The views of the Alegres Mountain were spectacular as was the star studded sky.I had plenty of space to camp and a fire pit, grill and patio furniture. Jennifer was an amazing host and was extremely helpful. 100% recommended.

Our first hip camp and Jennifer set the bar high for the perfect camping experience. We are normally early to bed but couldn’t tear ourselves away from the view until almost midnight courtesy of a full moon and clear sky. No wind and as another hip camper said, it might be the quietest setting ever except for the occasional coyote, bird, or clicking beetle which only added to our enjoyment. Jennifer is a lovely host and thought of everything right down to the Loo with a view;-). Artesian well water made for the best pot of coffee we brewed on the trip! Thank you, Jennifer. We hope we have the pleasure of visiting again. Next time we will allow time to explore the property and vicinity.

The stars were exceptional, the landscape had great shady spots without disrupting my night sky view, and even though it felt and is remote it was exceptionally easy to get to! I couldn’t have been happier and am already looking forward to coming back!

I actually did not stay there. I had overbooked as days run together on a long road trip. The host was polite and helpful with directions. I would have loved to have stayed there.

We booked the night before, and it couldn't have gone more perfect. It was my first time Hip Camping and first time to New Mexico. We wanted an affordable site, with not many people, minimal facilities and an amazing view of the night sky. The entire property was well maintained, a manicured spot to comfortably pitch our tent. There was an outdoor toilet, with the most amazing view that I've ever taken care of my business. Also provided was a shower, even though we didn't use it. A quick storm rolled in, but offered one of the most amazing light shows we've ever seen. Once that passed, we removed the rain fly and slept under a clear starry sky for the rest of the night. Jennifer was an amazing host with the cutest pup named Desmond. The property was fenced in, so we felt safer for our tiny dog (who doesn't roam far) to explore as she pleased. I couldn't be more satisfied with our quick one night stay!! Thank you!
