We are located on a private 36 acres of mostly woodland. We abut 100 acres of conservation land and another 100 acres of private woodlands. Park at the end of the dirt portion of Farley Rd and it is a short 5 minute hike to the campsites. There is a marsh and a creek on the property that support myriad wildlife. There are owls, loons, eagles, hawks, hermit thrushes, robins, turkeys, song birds and herons. There are deer, moose, bear(don't leave your food out!), chipmunks, squirrels, opossum, raccoons(don't leave your food out!), skunks, minks, otters and many other species in our neighborhood. We live at the end of a dead end road with very little traffic. No potable water provided, bring a filter and filter fresh water while you are here. Outhouse is completed and has a separate trail off of the white blaze trail. Just before the Quiet campsite there is a trail for the outhouse on the right. Thank you!

Campsite is very green! Lots of moss and native grasses brighten up this spot. The stream flows by slowly and song bird sing all day long. This is the second site along the path. Park at the end of Farley Rd, go past the white Hipcamp sign, when almost to the marsh take a right onto the white blaze trail and your campsites are along the trail. Outhouse is on a separate trail that parallels main trail. All campsites share the outhouse so knock first. There is a main trail for hiking around the land which circles the property and borders the marsh, creek and Beard Brook. If you would like to go for a longer hike there is Fox State Forest as well as Pillsbury State Park right down the road. There is also the scenic Gleason Falls that is a minute drive down the road or a ten minute walk. Bring your bikes to ride along dirt roads and visit the historic stone-arch bridges.

Quiet spot campsite

This is the first site along the path. It is nestled back in the woods close to one of the many blueberry patches. The hermit thrushes love this spot. Park at the end of Farley Rd, go past the white Hipcamp sign, when almost to the marsh take a right onto the white blaze trail and your campsites are along the trail. Outhouse is on a separate trail that parallels main trail. All campsites share the outhouse so knock first. There is a main trail for hiking around the land which circles the property and borders the marsh, creek and Beard Brook. If you would like to go for a longer hike there is Fox State Forest as well as Pillsbury State Park right down the road. Blueberry campsite

This site is the third site along the path. It is right next to a large low bush blueberry patch making for easy picking. Park at the end of Farley Rd, go past the white Hipcamp sign, when almost to the marsh take a right onto the white blaze trail and your campsites are along the trail. Outhouse is on a separate trail that parallels main trail. All campsites share the outhouse so knock first. There is a main trail for hiking around the land which circles the property and borders the marsh, creek and Beard Brook. Communal campsite

This is the largest campsite. This site can accommodate multiple tents and campers and is the most private site we offer. Bring the whole family! Located along the white blaze trail this site is peaceful and close enough to the stream that you can take a dip on a hot day or let the stream lullaby you to sleep after a long day. Park at the end of Farley Rd, go past the white Hipcamp sign, when almost to the marsh take a right onto the white blaze trail and your campsites are along the trail. Outhouse is on a separate trail that parallels main trail. All campsites share the outhouse so knock first. Campsite is perched up on a little knoll close to the beginning of the creek. Sounds are wonderful in this spot and the fire pit is open to the nights sky so you can watch for shooting stars and spot constellations. Park at the end of Farley Rd, go past the white Hipcamp sign, when almost to the marsh take a right onto the white blaze trail and your campsites are along the trail. Big Field

Big Field is large enough to fit 20 + tents/trucks. Open access thru multiple entrances and exits. This field is ideal for a large group. Keep in mind the outhouse is down the hipcamp trail at its normal location so if bring a large group find the outhouse first or bring your own contained portable potty. Open to the nights sky and a large fire pit makes this field perfect for your groups getaway.

Lovely forest and loved Ryan’s benches he cut to sit around the campfire and there was a firewood shed which we didn’t end up needing to use because there was plenty of forage able wood! Doggies had a great time.

Beautiful place! If you imagine a magical forest come to life it’s kind of like that 😂 well maintained and each site is clearly marked. Definitely recommend!

Quiet spot campsite
I had such a great time camping at the Quiet campsite with my sister! The trails, outhouse, and campsites are all well kept with log benches and fire pits. We heard lots of birds, frogs, and other wildlife. Lots of privacy and open woods! I’ll definitely be coming back :)

Communal campsite
We really enjoyed tent camping at the Communal site. We easily fit 2 medium tents and one small tent into the space, and we were far enough away from other campsites that it felt private. Our 6 year old really enjoyed getting to see deer, frogs, hummingbirds, and chipmunks, and hear the owls at night. We liked exploring the woods around the campsite and the nearby creek, too. The Communal site is the furthest away from the parking situation, so the walk from the car was a little further than we planned for, maybe 10-12 minutes. Definitely wouldn't recommend anything with wheels going in - we brought a wagon to help haul stuff and it was more of a detriment than help! Not sure if this is a frequent thing, but it seemed like the neighboring property was having target practice/fireworks/ATV riding all weekend long, which could be heard clearly from where we were. We weren't bothered, but wanted to mention in case anyone is camping with a dog (or human!) who might not be able to deal well with those sort of noises. Overall, Ryan was a lovely host and the property was a really great stay. I would definitely recommend to others who enjoy rustic sites!

It was a amazing experience it was very quiet and beautiful view of the water and many trails to walk the owner was very nice and took care of the outhouse and other things in the campsite and if you like animals and reptiles this is the place for you, we saw deer, moose, frogs, water snakes also their are blueberries bushes everywhere 10/10 will come back next summer

A peaceful and magical camp

I had a great time camping at Owl’s nest. The land is full of beautiful things to see and lots to explore. We hiked into our site (Starry) just a short distance from the parking area and set up 2 small tents, 2 hammocks and our cooking table with room to spare. We were happy to find hand crafted log benches around the fire pit and loads of wood all around the area. Large Fire wood bundles were available to buy for 5 dollars as well. Starry is the larger of the single campsites and as we had need to set up 2 tents we requested to change sites from Mossy to Starry. Ryan had no problem with the last minute change which I appreciated greatly. We hiked around the trails and explored the land which has a beautiful brook with waterfalls and huge boulders. The trails are clean and well marked. While relaxing in our hammocks we heard Owls, Veery, multiple assorted warblers and many other birds. We had red squirrels check us out and while walking back from our car in the evening we got to watch a Barred Owl fly from tree to tree right in front of us. We had a peaceful and magical weekend. Ryan has an outhouse set up for all campers and it was clean, brightly lit and centrally located for the convenience of all campers. Thanks for a great weekend at your beautiful land Ryan. We would love to come back soon.

What an incredibly welcoming forest. Walking the springy earth of the trails tracing the beautiful brook with its massive moss-covered boulders, I felt a powerful peace. Ryan has done a gorgeous job of creating inviting spaces and paths without disrupting the natural feel and flow of this land.

Mossy campsite
This spot was gorgeous! A short walk to an expansive marsh one way, and a beautiful creek the other way. Bring your bug spray and prepare to be sung to sleep by the peepers. There's not a level spot for a tent, but we made it work for our 2 night stay, just a lot of readjusting. The fire pit is small but gets the job done. The walk to the site is about 5 minutes, and a small wagon to transport things was extremely helpful. I'd stay here again!

The camping area was nice with plenty of wildlife and trails nearby. Kyle was helpful getting us to the site even though we got there after dark. I'll definitely want to check it out in the summer too!

Ryan has several great little spots setup along a walking trail. All secluded from each other with enough room for a tent and then some. There was a nice stream running along the site as well. It was an amazing spot.

Quiet spot campsite
We LOVED our trip here! The entire property is gorgeous, and Ryan (the host) has spent a lot of time creating comfortable and beautiful campsites as well as a trail that leads to the brook on his property. Ryan himself was kind, informative, and welcoming. He walked us down the trail to the brook even though his foot was in a boot due to an injury! He even lent us some cooking supplies that we forgot to pack. We saw so many birds (woodpeckers, egrets, and heard owls all night), frogs, deer, etc. The marsh and waterfall nearby were also so beautiful. Definitely recommend coming here and we would consider coming again!

Secluded spot out in the woods

Stayed here overnight on a short weekend camping trip. Ryan met us down in the circular driveway and showed us where our site was. He was an amazing host and told us of the different trails he recommended for hiking. The place was absolutely gorgeous! I know why they call it owls nest because we could hear them pretty well at night which I loved! All in all had a wonderful time, would recommend and would stay again!

Mossy campsite
This is the perfect place to escape. The land is well maintained and trails are visibly marked. If you’re looking for a niche in the woods with little to nothing around, you’ve found the right spot. 4WD is highly recommended (practically necessary) for traversing around the town’s local roads. Ryan is extremely accommodating and friendly, he made finding the location a breeze. His land is full of wildlife, on our three day stay we found several different animal tracks, newts, salamanders, frogs and toads, all types of fungi. A beautiful and natural place to be.

Blueberry campsite
This plot is beautiful. Ryan has put in an incredible effort to make awesome tent sites along a beautiful trail on his property. I highly recommend this place to anyone who's looking for a wild camping experience. Make sure you contact him for directions as you get close. I approached from the wrong way and rolled over a patch of washed out road that would be tough for low vehicles. I got there and Ryan suggested an alternate route which was smooth and easy. Thanks man! The stay was great.
