Best for self-contained campers. There are no toilets, showers, or potable water at this Hipcamp.
A very unique spot! This is our retired State of New Hampshire Safety Rest Area located on Rte 9 in Antrim, NH. The beautiful North Branch River flows along the rear of the property. There is a covered picnic table area and a large parking lot. The main building is part of the New Hampshire Historical Resources Commission properties, and we are the current stewards working to preserve it and its land. The main building is not yet ready for use. Camping with no utilities is available at this time. Campers and motorhomes are welcome and easily fit in the parking lot, with no need to turn around. Great cell service and solar exposure.

There are no facilities, this is an old NH state rest area with a 20 acre wooded area along the North Branch River which has great fishing. The building is not open. There is great cell phone service, bright south facing sunlight and a huge parking lot but NO FACILITIES YET....Willard Pond is about 10 mins away, the closest "city" is Keene which is about 30mins west on Rte 9...to the east you will have Hillsborough, NH which is about 10 mins away...Please, please, please carry in, carry out and don't start a forest fire. This is natural forest land and you can set up wherever you like. RVs would LOVE this parking lot, no turning around. Thank you and respect, Dave

Antrim New Hampshire Stat Rest Area
The host David was super kind and showed me around the camp area. I was also surprised that there was a somewhat out of sight place for me to park and pitch my tent. You are right off a busy section of road that cats are constantly going down. I knew this before booking so nothing bad to say. It was super fun camping here and I would definitely come back. (Sorry I forgot to take photos)
