I loved Camping on the property. So many things to do within walking Distance. Cindy was so nice and welcoming, she even helped give my car a jump when the battery died. 10/10 would go back!

A place of tranquility!

Truly tranquil. A quiet respite, We spent one night, we were greeted by the host when we arrived, nice folks who have a history in the area. Nearby, is a beautiful horse who might come and say hello. Nice room with everything you need. Really glad we chose to stay here.

Charming Evening in The Coop

Great place to crash for the night solo or couple. Unit has a/c and ceiling fan, theres a hammock outside, fire pit, 1 queen bed, working outlets and my T-Mobile service worked well. No shower, toilet is a bucket in a tent, big Airbnb house nearby their guests kept coming over to ask me if they could pet my horse fyi if you mind that kinda thing.

If you have a chance to camp here, take it! The views are beautiful, it’s quiet and peaceful, and such a short distance to town. We rode our bikes across the bridge into town several times. Cindy is very helpful and communicative! We would definitely stay again if we were in the area!

A Place of Tranquility indeed! Cindy is the very best ☺️ I had an amazing stay in The Roost cabin adjacent to their beautiful and sweet horse, Ben. I arrived after dark with very short notice, but Cindy was so responsive and gave me fantastic directions. I found it with no problem, and Cindy is such a wonderfully lovely and kind person. The property is in an absolutely perfect location in Montana! I’m a local who travels an average of 20,000 miles a year… usually without ever leaving the state 😅 This is in one of the most beautiful parts of the state, by far. I’m an avid forager throughout all seasons, and this was the most amazing summer base camp for that and will be nearly year round for me now! It would be an equally great hub for any outdoor pursuits really, as it is radiated by some of the most tranquil stretches of river dotted with many beautiful swimming/ lounging beaches along the banks all through the valley. It sits within some of the oldest and most biologically diverse forest in Montana, so essentially any public access road you may wander up is guarantied to be littered with an abundance of wild flowers, ferns, mosses, crystal clear streams, and towering evergreens 🌲 Cindy’s place is in a sprawling meadow amidst the trees that allows incredible porch hammock views of the sunset and surrounding horizon with a fire and beautiful Ben in the foreground 😊 The cabin is adorably curated and so thoughtfully appointed with everything you could need and more!

We were looking for a quiet, easy getaway from Missoula. Cindy accommodated us without much advance notice, which was nice of her. Very comfortable bedding, nice setup on running water and electricity. No bugs or wildfire smoke. And Thompson Falls a beautiful small town blessedly undiscovered by tourists. Taco stand along river at Eddie’s Cafe outstanding. We’d stay again,

Fun at the Ranch

Green Acres, was a pleasure to visit. Cindy was a gracious host. The property is quite and easy access. It is more for dry camping, although we were able to hook up to 110. If you have a generator, it would be a perfect spot. We enjoyed feeding Ben (horse) carrots everyday. He is gentle and knows when you are headed his way. We are learning what we enjoy about Hip Canps, as we just started ours in Sagle Idaho on Lake Pend Orielle. Thanks Cindy

We loved staying at Cindy’s place! The camper was comfortable and cozy. My son loved meeting Ben, the retired show horse, and the trampoline. Cindy’s family is generous and kind and had plenty of recommendations for adventures in the area.

East check-in, access to spigot for shower, porta potty on site makes for easy glamping. It was a 15 minute walk to the High Bridge. A very convenient spot to camp. If you love the sound of train whistles, this is the spot for you. My husband loved it!

Magnificent in Montana

We were looking for something near Thompson Falls where I camped as a kid, but now that we’re a bit older, we wanted a few more amenities. This little trailer was perfect. Half glamping, half camping. Super serene but close to town and walking distance to the river and high bridge (really nice wilderness park with swimming holes)…Montana never disappoints and Cindy’s place made it all the better.

The Roost was exactly what is shown in the photos and so much more. Nice place to walk to the falls and into town. The horses were just a pleasure to see and pet. I would stay at The Roost again for sure! Thanks for a wonderful stay!

Lovely meadow with 2 horses

Cindy was a gracious host. She has 30 acres of land and the HipCamp is in a lovely meadow on the front of the property. The out house was clean. The well water was cold and tasted fine. My kids enjoyed petting the 2 horses (Ben is the white one, Doc is the grey one). We selected a site on the south side to get some shade which made leveling a bit tricky as there is a bit of a sidehill.

Amazing!

Green Acres was truly a place of peace and tranquility! We had the pasture to ourselves and enjoyed the quiet sunrises and sunsets. Cindy was a great host, super responsive and recommended a handful of fun activities in that area that we did with our family. The site is a 5 minute bike ride from an INCREDIBLE swimming hole. This was our second time here, we will for sure be back again.

A wonderful place!

We did not get to meet Cindy but she contacted us before we arrived. We were the only ones in a gorgeous green meadow with fabulous views of the mountains. Our dogs had a great time. The walk to Island park and into town is a must do.

The Roost was exactly what we needed for our last minute trip. The bed was comfortable, the mini fridge was great to have, and the cooking set up was a nice amenity, along with the well water. My husband loved the hammock. The land was beautiful and had plenty of space for outdoor games - great for Bocce ball! Cindy and her family were very friendly and she made sure we had everything we needed. We also felt very safe! A highlight was definitely their beautiful horse, Ben. Our dog, Tucker, eagerly awaited each encounter with Ben, who proved to be remarkably gentle.

Exceptional Stay

The location and land at the camp was beautiful: full meadow surrounded by evergreens. The camp is easy to get to and close enough to town to make a needed run to the grocery store. The port-a-potty was spotless and the well water delicious. Cindy is a delightful and thoughtful host. She ride her bike up to camp to greet us, and delivered a cache of information on things to do in the area. When our family left belongings out during an unexpected rainstorm, Mark and son came out to the camper and re-stored them, saving us from having drenched gear. You couldn't ask for more kindness and effort from a host family.

We had a great stay at Cindy’s Green Acres, her family was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area giving us a fantastic hike recommendation! It was very peaceful and clean, there is plenty of space to enjoy. Our dogs enjoyed being able to play fetch in the field. Being able to fill our water tank up was a huge bonus, and sitting by the fire in the evening was a perfect way to end the night. Highly recommend staying here if you’re looking for a peaceful camp in the area.

Amazing Stay!

Cindy left us a nice packet at our campsite with info about the surrounding area, and things we could do. So sweet and thoughtful! The views were gorgeous. The grassy area for camping was so green, well maintained, and pretty level. The porta-potty was very clean and always stocked. It was quiet and peaceful with an ocassional train heard off in the distance. We saw a bald Eagle, listened to some birds, played with our dog, and just relaxed. We’d stay there again in a heartbeat.
