Peck’s Last Resort, formerly known as Rich’s Last Resort, stands out as a unique family-owned and operated campground nestled in the heart of the Mark Twain National Forest. Owned by Greg and Janive (Jenny) Smith, this destination offers a perfect blend of outdoor adventure and cherished family memories, making it an ideal spot for camping and floating on the scenic Big Piney River. As one of the longest-serving canoe and camping rental locations in the area, Peck’s Last Resort has faced challenges in recent years due to flooding and declining facilities. However, since taking ownership, we have worked diligently to restore the campground's basic amenities, refurbish the cabins, and install camper hookups, along with building a new office to enhance your experience. We invite everyone who grew up creating unforgettable memories here to return and rediscover the beauty of this special place. Located just south of Fort Leonard Wood, Peck’s Last Resort is the last stop on the Big Piney, offering easy access to nearby swimming holes, outdoor activities, and local restaurants and shops.
