ABR Trailside Cabins - XC Ski In/Out right from your own Rustic Cabin. The Foundation offers 4 Rustic Cabins available to rent via HipCamp. All cabins are located on 80km of groomed XC Ski trails & 16km of snowshoe trails. Enjoy your own secluded cabin located right on pristine groomed ABR Trails. Snowshoe trails also available from your door. Each cabin has mattresses, wood stove (firewood provided), and your own outhouse specific to each cabin. Basic supplies available at check-in (toilet paper, kindling, pull behind sled to ski in your gear), potable water-BYO container). Enjoy the luxury of groomed trails right out your door with a peaceful rustic cabin experience.

Sleeps 2, less than 0.5 miles from the trailhead parking lot. Escape to this cozy, rustic cabin nestled amidst the serene beauty of the ABR Trails Foundation XC Ski and Snowshoe Trails. Enjoy the tranquility of being away from other cabins, with direct access to miles of pristine trails right at your doorstep. Warm up by the crackling woodstove in the cozy cabin, or step outside to enjoy the dark sky under the stars. The outhouse provides a classic outdoor experience, adding to the rustic charm. Whether you're seeking a peaceful retreat or an adventurous winter getaway, this cabin offers the perfect escape for nature lovers. Rustic Cabin located right on ABR Trails Foundation XC Ski and Snowshoe Trails. Situated away from other cabins, right on the ski and snowshoe trails, your own wood pile, outhouse, and a woodstove. The cabins are accessible only by skiing or snowshoeing only. Ski/Snowshoe passes are not included and must be purchased at the trailhead. There is no electricity or plumbing. There is a clean outhouse for each cabin with toilet paper. The heat for the cabin is supplied by a very efficient wood stove which also has a flat cooking surface. The wood stove keeps the cabin very warm but it takes several hours to heat the cabin if it is cold out. When you arrive, you will need to start your own fire and maintain your fire throughout your stay. Firewood is provided just outside your cabin and we send you out with a “firestarter” pack. The cabins have a sleeping area with mattresses but no bedding. Each cabin has a table with chairs/benches. A tea kettle and cast iron pan are provided along with a charcoal grill, but no charcoal. Cabins are located in .3 km -1 km in from the trailhead. A sled is provided for hauling in gear to pull behind you as you ski out on the skating lanes or travel on the cabin trail by snowshoe. Water is available at the trailhead, bring your own container(s). If you are arriving after 5 PM, please let us know so we can leave supplies out for you. There is a designated area for parking for cabin people which allows us to plow the parking lot.
