You'll be camping on our Stanley lake sugarbush property. Lakefront sites have power and water - are located in a grassy clearing on the shores of Stanley Lake. ABSOLUTELY NO CHARGING OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES ON PROPERTY!! Primitive sites are amongst the maple trees of our sugarbush operation, within walking distance of the lake. These sites do not yet have water or electricity, but water is available from spigots at the lake clearing. Stanley lake is just shy of 400 acres, known for walleye and bass. It is an all sports lake with no limited wake hours. Feel free to roam our woods - you will notice the blue maple lines come to an end at our east and west property lines, as well as a no trespassing sign on the lake clearing to the west line. Deer here are plentiful, and you can often get them to eat from your hand, provided you have apples. Iron county has a tremendous ORV/snowmobile trail system. You can drive your machine right from our property to the trails. There are two golf courses in the area, as well as a vast bicycle trail system. Ski Brule ski hills and sporting clay operation are a few miles from the property. Countless acres of public land for recreation!

Ranger's site has 30 amp power and fresh water hookups. This site is in the lake clearing and ideal for rvs . Plenty of space to maneuver however you won't have much shade. As the day heats up you're less than 100 yards from the lake! Enjoy a swim or use of our non powered boats at your own risk. There's kayaks, a paddle boat as well as a row boat.

Site is in the wooded area of our property, and therefore is well shaded at most parts of the day. Fall/winter views of the lake are possible from this area. There is not water or electric at this site, however generators are allowed (please observe quiet times). There is also an outhouse located alongside the drive coming into the property. We are not full-time residents, so it is best to be safe, and bring toilet paper, just in case. There is a picnic table and fire ring on the site - firewood is located on our lake clearing, although we do try to keep a small stock up top in the woods. The lake clearing is a quick drive down to retrieve wood. This is also where you can find more outhouses, the shower building, a communal picnic area with dock and fire ring, and of course, beautiful Stanley Lake! The walk down to the lake clearing is a gravel road with a gradual hill.

This site is on our lake clearing, just steps from the outhouses, shower building, sugar shack (firewood is located here), and of course beautiful Stanley Lake. There is also a playset, trampoline, and swim raft with slide and swing - all of these activities are at your own risk! Please be sure young children are supervised. The terrain is grassy, but also pretty rocky and we stress caution. ABSOLUTELY NO CHARGING OF ELECTRIC VEHICLES ON PROPERTY!! On this site is a 24' camper. There is a queen bed, as well as a couch and table that fold down - please bring your own bedding. The kitchen is equipped with pretty much all the dishes, utensils, and cookware that you would need, including toaster, crockpot and coffee pot. Refrigerator, freezer, microwave, and stove all in working order. All you need bring is your food, coffee and seasonings. AC and Heater are both in working order as well. Bathroom includes small vanity, toilet and shower/tub. No TV or antenna hookup, but who needs that in the beautiful U.P.? We do not have a standard cleaning fee; however, one may be charged if the camper is not left in the condition that you arrive to. Everything you need to accomplish this is stored in the camper closet. We are not full-time residents of the U.P. so there may be a guest arriving after your departure, before we can get there to tidy up. Photos sent to us is a huge plus and will insure you are not charged! Stanley lake is just shy of 400 acres, known for walleye and bass. It is an all sports lake with no limited wake hours. We have 2 kayaks and paddle boat for use - first come first serve. Feel free to roam our woods - you will notice the blue maple lines come to an end at our east and west property lines, as well as a no trespassing sign on the lake clearing to the west line. Deer here are plentiful, and you can often get them to eat from your hand, provided you have apples. Iron county has a tremendous ORV/snowmobile trail system. You can drive your machine right from our property to the trails. There is a local establishment within walking distance - currently undergoing renovations, and due to reopen 2023. There are two golf courses in the area, as well as a vast bicycle trail system. Ski Brule ski hills and sporting clay operation are a few miles from the property. Countless acres of public land for recreation!

Silver Maple tent site has abundant room including two picnic tables. Surroundings offered a flat tent space, lovely tall trees to hear the wind’s rustle leaves and look up at the canopy above with mesh ceiling. Near a pit outhouse, bonus. Just a brief gravel road to beautiful wood showers and more amenities like an outdoor sink with faucet, Starlink internet and dock at lakeside for stargazing or other fun. Welcoming hosts, just look for gravel road turn by handful mailboxes before/after Wicklund (don’t turn there). You’ll know the entry point from seeing blue property lines. Look forward to a return trip!!

Second time at Sugarbush Camper - once again, we absolutely loved it. So peaceful and relaxing, the kids loved the trampoline and easy access to the lake. Definitely our favorite spot to keep coming back to!

Our family loved staying at the camper on Stanley Lake. It was quiet and had everything we needed. Hosts were so friendly and made us feel welcome. This was our two year olds first camping trip and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay!

Great camping experience. Family shared camping land with very welcoming hosts. Checked in with us multiple times during our stay to make sure we had everything we needed. Close to a lot of activities like Bond Falls as well as having lake access.

Allison and her family were so kind and accommodating, the location of camp was stunning, the lake was so clean It made fishing off the dock that much more fun. The camper was comfortable and had everything we needed. When we weren’t fishing for brook trout in the iron river we spent our time kayaking and swimming in the lake. Would love to stay here again when we head back to iron river.

Rustic sites are the best sites, great outhouses and showers. Rangers site had all the amenities but felt more like a family or hunting site. Make sure you have very specific directions (no cell service for miles!)

We loved staying on Alison and Cliff's land! We stayed over Fourth of July weekend and they were the best hosts and made us feel like family! The location was amazing! From being on the lake with all of the water sports they let you use (the paddle boat is trickier than it seems!) to being surrounded by national forests, we had a filled weekend. We would definitely stay with them again!

Nice quiet sites in a maple grove. New outhouses that were well stocked. Pond is nice for canoeing and kayaking. Super friendly fold and free firewood to boot!

Alison and Cliff have an AWESOME spot to camp and play at! The kids fully enjoyed it. They especially loved the playground built on top of a raft out a bit in the water that they could play on. Super clean lake and easy to swim around and get to the raft. Our 5 and 3 year old both swam out there and went down the slide into the water. Very nice showers with a lot of hot water! Wood everywhere for your fires. Fresh chicken eggs if you’d like some. The view and fishing were amazing and plenty of deer surrounding the property. Kids also loved the little playground when they weren’t in the water. Cliff was very helpful and communicated very efficiently. No matter where we camped it was going to be dry and the mosquitos were going to be thick, so nothing to do with Alison and Cliff’s setup itself. Perfect spot to get away from everything. Would definitely book again if we were ever going through again.

Quiet, family friendly atmosphere! Camper accurately described with comfortable matress, kitchen, and A/C. Campsite has several amenities including firepit, lake, kayak, paddle boat, floating playground, showers, etc... Alison and Cliff are great hosts. They will answer any questions for you on a timely basis! This is my GO TO place in the UP.

Best camping trip ever! Was so nice to have a camper all set up even free firewood and free use of kayaks and paddle boat. Camper is obviously an older model as shown but the view and other amenities are well worth the price. I'll certainly be back! They also have other camp sites available which would make this ideal for group camping

This is a large family property that is shared by several family members. Toilets, showers, hook ups, dock were all great. Was very quiet out there and the host sprays for bugs to keep them down. The rustic sites were really nice if you don't need hook ups and don't mind being a bit farther from the water. Nice hosts and family friendly environment.
