This was a great cabin! Had everything we needed and kept us nice and warm through the night. Jamin was super helpful in showing us how to get to the cabin when we arrived in the dark. Did some fishing and was perfect for our two nights. We were there in mid November and were so grateful he kept the cabin running for us.

Sweet little cabin in the woods! Jamin was super accommodating and even built an outside fire for us prior to arrival. More spacious than you might think for a small cabin. We opted not to use the generator but it was nice to have that option. We enjoyed staying here as a launch point for the weekend of the Common Ground fair just up the road in Unity. Felt very cozy and private. Could be great for a small group of people or just a couple like us.

Jamin was an excellent host. Though he typically closes down in the winter, he kept his cabin up and running for our group. He was responsive and made sure everything went as planned.

We loved staying at the cabin - so peaceful, and in a lovely spot in the woods. Jamin and his family were so nice when checking us in and getting us situated. Would definitely stay again, and highly recommend!

We had such a great stay at the cabin! It had everything we would need for an overnight stay, and had plenty of accommodations if we needed to host more. Jamin was an excellent host and helpful suggesting areas we could check out.

We had a great weekend! Everything was ready to go when we got there. The cabin has plenty of space and we enjoyed using the kayaks. We will definitely be back!

The river right there. What we enjoyed the most was the awesome fire pit. It also feels

Riverview cabin
Jamin was a truly lovely and kind host, we arrived late and he had set up a fire for us and waited up for our arrival after we changed times. He allowed us to use the kayaks in the morning too, the property is lovely. We would’ve stayed for days if we had the time. Nothing but good things to say.

The cabin of Jamin was great! Everything you need to have a good night. The shower was perfect and the portable toilet did what it was supposed to do. There is a generator to give electricity so you can have light, power outlet and a tv. It is very loud tho. We only used it while cooking for the lights and to recharge our phones.
Jamin was busy but took the time to help us with our luggage, bring us fresh water and show us how everything worked. There was also board games that we enjoy during the evening.

Cozy cabin in a quiet, peaceful setting by a beautiful river and the nicest host ever…all the things you need for a perfect weekend getaway. Cabin has a well equipped kitchen. Kayaks available for fun on the river. Jamin delivered our bags and us via atv down the short path to the cabin door and checked in with us each day to make sure we had everything we needed. We had a great stay!

This place is awesome. Cabin was hand built by Jamin and is extremely impressive. We have a nice tranquil night here, with desires to partake in all of the activities that are very accessible but we limited on time. Perfect halfway spot for those traveling from Boston to Katahdin/Baxter State Park. Only complaint was that sheets/towels were not the most fresh. Otherwise, would recommend.

Riverview cabin
We were grateful for Jamin's generous hospitality and cozy cabin. Communication was quick, the cabin design was delightful, and there is a lovely inlet to the river nearby with kayaks available. No running water but Jamin provided a jug for us. The cabin is tucked down a little road behind an ATV repair shop and kids were excited for a ride on an ATV down to the cabin. The latrine has a port-a-toilet and plans are for it to include a shower. Lots of thoughtful details.
Among the range of campers / hipcampers / outdoor enthusiasts, some aim towards more versus less technology. For those in the low-tech crowd, you should know that this cabin has electricity from a portable generator. The TV and coffee maker will be an upside to some, and the generator noise & exhaust will be a downside to others. We opted for the generator (which Jamin kindly started for us) for a little bit of the evening, then turned it off for the remainder of our stay.

My family of three (me, my partner Amy and our 5-yo son, Bison) rented Jamin's camp for a single night as we were moving North. Jamin and his family were really friendly and helpful. The camp was exactly as described in it's listing; the location within the woods, near the river, is awesome. We would totally return if we're ever passing though again.

This cabin is really nice. Like a few others said, it is larger than it looks in the pictures. Jaimie was responsive to the few things that went awry. The electricity shorted out several times as it is run on a gas generator that is quite loud and not quite powerful enough. An electric generator might be quieter and provide more power.
We also ran into some problems with the coffee maker, but as I said each time our host responded quickly which I appreciated. Sitting on the screened in porch when the generator was off (we used candles for light) was beautiful, especially during the rain. The property is quite scenic, although there is a small amount of poison ivy on the trail to the river so be careful. Light cleaning was required when I got there, but after an hour the place looked really good. (FYI, my cleaning standards as a female 68 year old might be a bit more stringent than the average “camper.”) The firepit looked inviting even through the rain. My overall feeling was that it is a great cabin and Jamin was an awesome host in a beautiful spot, but a little rethinking about the generator and the electricity, plus some “between guests cleaning” would make this a phenomenal spot!

This cabin was just as it looked online--quaint, tucked back into the woods near the river. Jamin was a great host, helping us transport our gear back to the cabin. We enjoyed kayaking and fishing just yards away from the cabin. It's a little challenging to find, so check with Jamin for some landmarks.

Rustic but spaciest than it looks. Quiet. Private. Beautiful woods. Peaceful river. And beautiful starry skies at night.
Topping it all off is an extra helpful host. Would stay here again.

I had an amazing night staying at Jamin's cabin. It was well-stocked with everything we needed and had more than enough sleeping space for 3 people. The cabin is in such a peaceful spot and feels very secluded. Jamin and his family were very accommodating in helping us transport our bags down to the cabin and checking in via text to see if we needed any help. I wish we could have stayed longer!

Riverview cabin was the perfect place to celebrate my dads birthday and have a small family getaway. The site is cozy - beautifully built cabin sitting above the Sabasticook River, in a wooded & ultra peaceful location. Kayaks available for use & the fishing was OUTSTANDING. Riverview is definitely a place for an easy-going, laid back camper who goes with the flow. Amenities are limited, so if you’re not used to living on the fly, this isn’t the place for you. If you are a camper at heart, and do what you can with the resources around you, you’ll absolutely love it here.
The host, Jamin…is THE BEST. He checked in on us every day through text - asking us if we needed anything, wishing us a good stay, offering us eggs from his chickens, giving us recommendations for local diners - he was so kind and accommodating, and we truly appreciate his generosity during our stay.
10/10 would come back here. I’ve never seen my dad smile so much!

My group stayed here on one of our stops on our road trip. let me say that the pictures don't do this spot justice. The cabin was a lot more spacious than in the photos plus where the cabin is located on the property you feel like you are off secluded in the woods. this spot is perfect for a little getaway!
