Unfortunately, I did not stay at this Hip Camp after arriving. While the location is on a lake, it was cluttered with a lot of debris and no real spot to put a tent. I thought it would be more secluded as the listing states it is 60 acres and dogs can be off leash. I assume the 60 acres includes the hill behind the dock where the heavy equipment was parked but I don't know. I did not see a portable toilet either. There were several vehicles driving by in the short time I parked to check the place out. I believe this space could be special but the state it is in now, it is not inviting or relaxing. I drove 1.5 hours there, spent ten minutes here and turned right around to go home.

This place was great! The lake is beautiful, there was a nice spot right by the water to pitch our tent and the stars were amazing. Chad was super nice, communicative, and made sure we were able to find the location. We didn’t get a chance to use the boats but it was really nice to have the option. Would stay here again for sure.
