The sense of intentions hit me immediately when I arrived at Hazelbrook cabin, and didn't stop my entire stay. This place doesn't try to be anything it isn't and my host is every bit as authentic as the property she shares.
I would definitely recommend this stay to people looking for the best parts of Maine near the coast.

Absolutely something out of a storybook or fairy tale. The cabin was so cozy, charming and welcoming and set up with anything you could need. I would highly recommend to others and would love to visit again!

Hazelbrook is a magical place to call home. I rented this cabin as part of a work trip and it was the perfect respite to come home to after a day of work. Hazel and Michael have thought of everything. There are charming touches everywhere - literally everywhere! The outdoor shower is delightful and the bed was so comfy. The lighting, the personal touches, the thoughtfulness, the quiet, the great conversation with Hazel and Michael - it all contributed to a five-star stay! I’ll no don’t be back.

This cabin was perfect! Hazel and Michael were super nice and welcoming, my partner and I had an amazing time! Very close (walking distance) to an awesome hike. We will be back!

Hazel was an excellent host! She made my boys and I feel welcome, even after I messed up with how many of us could stay there. (The loft is NOT available for sleeping!) This is a magical, beautiful, peaceful place to get away from the din. It allowed us to enjoy the coast without the associated insane costs. We appreciated that so much! My boys got a little carried away while building a fort and a sheet ripped. Also, just be careful of the many beautiful treasures here! One of them fell off the frame above the screen door and broke, which we felt terrible about. It's the perfect place for respectful, aware, older-ish kids. Can't say enough good things about our stay here.

We absolutely loved our stay at the cabin! Hazel and Michael were great! They greeted us as we arrived and introduced us to their sweet pups. We met sheep, and goats, and chicks and watched an amazing sunset on the hill on our first night. The cabin is 7 minutes from the Hardy Boat Ferry which we took to Monhegan Island for a daytrip adventure. The cabin had everything we may have needed. The outdoor shower was the absolute best, especially under the full moon! Anyone looking for a cozy retreat to unplug, this is an amazing spot!

This was such a wonderful trip, the cabin was so lovely and cozy, and the surrounding gardens and farm were beautiful. I loved getting to peep around the farm and say hi to all the animals. Hazel and Michael were so warm and welcoming, they made everything even more special. It was truly one of the best stays that me and my partner have had, I would highly recommend!

This my third year here and the place never loses its charm. Both Hazel and Michael are fantastic hosts making sure our stay is always comfy. They know their way around and have great suggestions for food and sightseeing. The farm animals are so fun to watch and the land is beautiful. Totally recommend for a fun little glamping moment!

You never know what kind of environment you'll encounter when you arrive--is this a cabin city or a standalone hut? Fortunately, Hazel and Mike communicated very well in advance, with suggestions on directions, arrivals time, where to park, bring a towel and flashlight, and so on. They were ready for us when we arrived, giving us a tour and explaining the facilities (which were also documented in a greeting book).
It's a roughly 12x12 cabin with electric lights (and places to plug in your phone, though cell signal isn't great) and a gas stove with kitchen amenities. There's a water tank on the counter, the bed is comfortable. The sink and shower are against an outside wall, just a few feet from the outhouse (yes, composting toilet, well-maintained).
The cabin is charming and cozy. Screened windows worked to keep the bugs out (we never closed them) and fans worked to keep it cool. There's a wood stove we never used; we were provided plenty of blankets. Our hosts were happy to introduce us to their gardens and animals, and even chat about how things work. It's located just a few minutes from amazing lobster and very nice hikes, and 20 minutes or so to several towns with great food, galleries, and/or hiking.
We stayed for five days and never ran out of things to do.

Hazelbrook Cabin is a cozy sanctuary surrounded by a beautiful little farm. Hazel and Michael have put so much love into every detail of comfort and convenience of cabin camping. The outdoor facilities are top notch in my opinion,; the composting toilet bathroom was clean and fresh everyday and the outdoor shower had hot water and was very private and pleasant. The cabin was filled with handcrafted art and comfort, and I felt right at home there. There was a binder full of instructions for how to keep the cabin and use the facilities as well as recommendations for nearby hikes and activities. Hazel and Michael are easily accessible for anything needed. I was pleasantly satiated by the ambiance of the farm life they have cultivated and I will visit Hazelbrook Cabin regularly when I again visit Maine in the future! Grateful for a pleasant stay!

Hazel's cabin was an absolute delight. Everything was clean, comfortable, beautifully decorated, thoughtful and peaceful. We were able to deeply relax and enjoy the surrounding landscape. Hazel and Mike were helpful, friendly hosts who gave use great local recommendations and were available yet very respectful of our privacy. We loved the wood stove, outdoor shower, freshe eggs and cozy loft. Also appreciated the rainbow flag, knowing we were welcome! We will be coming back.

This is the most beautiful cabin! Everything about it is cozy and unique. We cooked with ease and enjoyed the shower and the fire. We were able to go the nearby beaches and walk right from the cabin to a nature preserve. I highly recommend a stay.

Hazel is an incredible host - when I first arrived, she was harvesting potatoes with her two pups at her side. Incredibly friendly and had so many great suggestions of what to do in the area. The cabin has the coziest bed, and I spent one rainy afternoon reading and napping with the windows open. There were fresh duck eggs and a a few lovely dahlia bouquets, too!

We loved their little cabin, and their farm! They have done a great job with everything and it is obvious all the work and the grit they’ve both put in over the years to achieve all that they have there. Loved all the thoughtful details within the cabin and our temporary living areas. And I have to say that I absolutely loved the bed … it was sooo comfy!!! I just wanted to stay there all the time. :)
We hiked one of the days to Laverna Preserve - we absolutely loved that - beautiful! Crazy to me that their farm is so close to that!
Overall a great stay and I’d definitely go back given the opportunity!

We have been staying in different hotels for two weeks before we arrived at Hazelbrook cabin and this was by far the nicest stay of all. The cabin itself is cozy and arranged with so much love for detail and the surrounding is just peaceful on the farm with its animals. It’s great to be able to get up in the morning and hang around with the goats! Hazel and Michael are lovely and we immediately got along well. We would love to come back.

Everything with our stay was perfect! Hazel and Michael were very welcoming and full of knowledge. The cottage was beautifully and artistically built. The craftsmanship was something to admire. The cottage was clean, comfortable and cozy. The artwork and personal touches were delightful, including the outhouse! And yes, the outhouse must be mentioned. The best outhouse experience ever! ☺️
It is a harmony of nature and permaculture farming. We loved this unique experience and look forward to returning.

Mu husband and I were looking for a quiet private place to refresh and reset and were immediately intrigued by the pictures of the cabin and the farm and animals. The cabin drew me in with the style of decorating, coziness, and overall design. When we first opened the door to go in I felt like I was transported to another place and time which was exactly what we were looking for. And while there is plenty to do if you like to stay busy like hiking, exploring the area, etc. we felt no need to leave this beautiful sanctuary. It was by far the quietest place I have ever stayed and that was what we needed most. The weather was perfect but we would have been happy rain or shine. We enjoyed the company of chickens and ducks and Zinnia and Lotus the goats and Hazel and Michael were so easy to be around which added even more to our comfort level. After I booked I wondered if 3 days would be too long but let me tell you, 3 days were not enough! I have nothing but positive feedback for this Hipcamp! Thank you Hazel and Michael for your kindness and generosity and for sharing your lovely space!

I had such a lovely time at Hazelbrook. Hazel and Michael were the kindest hosts and the cabin was exactly what I needed for a simple getaway to reset. The farm was beyond picturesque and probably the closest you could possibly get to a little slice of heaven. I couldn’t be happier with my trip and I hope to make it back someday.

Our stay at this darling cabin was absolutely wonderful. Plan to come back year after year! The cabin is at work of art, intimately put together by an artists hands. The property that it’s on was so very welcoming; beautiful gardens and flowerbeds, we had no real reason to leave! Spent our days lounging, reading, painting and cooking lovely meals. A 1.5mi walk to the coast right out our front door with outstanding views. The woodstove made the space so cozy in the evening. Hazel‘s hospitality was five star, highly recommend this visit!

Our experience staying at Hazelbrook Farm was perfect! We loved everything about the stay from the many artistic details in the cabin, to sitting under large pine trees watching the sunset next to the goats (very friendly and funny goats). They farm is very close to swimming areas and a beautiful coastal nature preserve. Hazel let us borrow her mushroom knife to forage black trumpet mushrooms on one of our hikes. The bed in the cabin was very comfortable and I would have even been happy lounging around all day but there is plenty to do and see in the area! I highly recommend this stay and would love to come back.
