Bon Vent Cidery – Creekside Camping in Hancock, Maine Escape to a peaceful corner of Bon Vent Cidery, where you can camp beside Kilkenny Creek and enjoy a laid-back stay surrounded by nature. This private site is tucked at the back of the cidery property and offers access to a swimming hole, scenic creek views, and plenty of space to relax after a day of exploring the Maine coast. The site accommodates up to three guests and is suitable for a van, bus, or similar self-contained camping setup, with parking for one vehicle. Guests have access to a fire pit, potable water, and a flush toilet. A half bath inside the cidery may also be available upon request. Pets are welcome on leash, and there is a friendly young dog on the property. Spend your day swimming in the creek, relaxing by the water, or visiting the cidery’s tasting room. When evening arrives, gather around the fire and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Grill over firepit, fridge, freezer, cookware, cooking utensils, dishware, cutlery, basic seasoning and oils, sink or other dishwashing station. Kinda a play it by ear situation, but we have a full kitchen upstairs and there’s an outdoor grill/flat top over a fire pit.

Man this place was AWESOME! Not only is the Cidery absolutely phenomenal, but what a unique experience to stay in a renovated hippie bus on a Cidery property. There is a good food spot literally next to the Cidery, and the vibes inside Bon Vent (as well as the drinks) were immaculate. 10/10, can’t recommend enough! The hosts are extremely kind and cool people as well, and we loved their puppy Knox!

Fun and Welcoming Getaway!

I loved staying here! It's been my favorite hipcamp to date. The hosts were so welcome and accommodating and the place was very cozy and comfortable. The converted bus was such a perfect getaway and the perfect place to rest after a long day in Acadia National Park. It is well appointed with fans to beat the heat, blankets for when it's cool, and a wide variety of amenities. It comes with anything you could think of or want! I enjoyed tea in the mornings on the quiet deck with the woods as my backdrop and popped into Bon Vent Cider tasting room for a drink and some live music in the evening. The location is convenient for getting to both the Schoodic peninsula and Bar Harbor as well as close to several other nearby parks and nature preserves. The hosts (Mathias and Gracie) were very welcoming and offered suggestions of things to do and see in the area. They were always responsive if I had questions and very respectful of my privacy when I wanted space. I stayed 2 nights and wish I had planned to be in town longer. I will definitely be making plans to come back! Also my dog loved meeting our hosts and they generously gave in when she demanded to be pet or get bootie scritches.
