Such a beautiful and special place. All the animals were awesome. We had so much fun walking around and interacting with all the animals. Alyssa was very chill and kind. We had a really nice private campsite and toilet/shower amenities were functional. The only bad thing was leaving all our furry friends :(

Overall we didn’t stay due to no electric outlet for our air mattress. I loved the sanctuary and meeting everyone. Nice and quiet. But the bathroom was one of the worst I been. I understand being outside and woods. But woods should not be orange and it stunk worst than the animals shits. So we left and stayed at a hotel.

Our stay was magical! We were greeted by a gentle, giant doggie upon our late night arrival. Then Kate came out to show us around, since it was so dark by the time we arrived. As we walked to our campsite one of the horses came right up to my friend to meet her. We stayed at campsite 3, where we pitched our tent right next to the waters edge. The song of cicadas, crickets, other night singers sent us right into a peaceful slumber. In the morning we were introduced to the farm and all the wonderful animals freely galavanting about. There were lots of adorable piglets, happy chickens, friendly doggies, and several other furry residents that were clearly loved and well cared for. My daughter loved being surrounded by all the heart warming faces, animals and humans alike. We will definitely keep this place on our favorites list!

This place is beautiful. There are animals everywhere. You will be serenaded by piglets snorting, roosters crowing and guinea hens doing whatever it is they do so loudly. It was easy to get in and out of with our small trailer and our kids loved exploring. They have a bathroom and shower available. It was not fancy, but was exactly what we were looking for! We talked to Alyssa and another person who is working there this summer. They were both kind and knowledgeable about the land and animals.

We originally booked two days at the Snow White Sanctuary, but after being evacuated from our last campsite due to a thunderstorm, we changed our booking and arrived a day early. We were hoping to find a dry place to air out our tent and get a good night's sleep, but when we arrived, we realized it had just rained that morning in Vinton as well. The site itself is absolutely beautiful, with friendly farm animals wandering around. Pamala was great—super helpful and friendly—and she showed us every corner of the Sanctuary. However, we were still really concerned about a flood warning message I had just received on my phone, and we didn't want to risk having to evacuate in the middle of the night all over again! Sadly, we decided not to stay overnight, but knowing how wonderful the place is, we will definitely come back in the future when we're more prepared!

This was the perfect place for me to tent camp with its location, beautiful nature trees and water, so many cute animals, peaceful private and safe environment, clean indoor bathroom, sweet friendly host, and the weather was perfect.

Tent Camp 2 @ Snow White Sanctuary
I stopped here to tent camp as the perfect halfway point on a trip. The first time I was greeted by friendly dogs and cute animals but didn’t know where to go and it was getting dark, so i set up by the barn and felt odd. The second time I met the host and I realized there was a road that went along the water and had little private camp sites, which i could drive right up too. It was so nice and beautiful! And much quieter over there. Alyssa was so sweet and awesome. I appreciated having the nice indoor bathroom. This was my first time solo camping and I felt really comfortable there. I adored all the animals. They are so fun and cute. I want to go back and visit them some time!

It’s so peaceful! We had a rush stay, got there right at dusk. Yet…it was oh so beautiful. The morning fog off the pond was spectacular. The fire pits are great. The horses! I am really looking forward to going back someday! My wife loved it too! Her first time tent camping ever!

This was one of the most beautiful farms I have ever been at. It was so magical! Our little spot was right next to the pond and the bathrooms were an easy walk. I absolutely loved getting to see all the animals. And the dogs were so sweet! I will absolutely do it again next year! Thank you!

Ahhh this place is so special and unique !! My first time staying in an animal sanctuary. You can tell the animals are incredibly happy there and treated well as everyone of them is friendly, including the emus which is not something I expected! The property is beautiful and Alyssa is incredibly sweet and welcoming. The stars of the show are definitely the animals, the cutest tiniest little piglet I ever seen called snoot, two beautiful horses, big fluffy dogs that’s love people, a pack of goats that are so funny to watch. There are also ducks, roosters, pigs. This is a must go to for any animal Lover

There’s just not enough good things to say about this place. Less than 5 minutes off the main Interstate is nestled this country oasis. Quiet! Serene! Friendly! Ample space! And animals! Lots of them, from goats to emus to turkeys to horses to chickens and on and on. This is a classy spot without the clutter of your normal Hipcamp. This will be my go to, when passing through, the geaux !!!

What a charming sanctuary that the residents share with us hip campers. Horses, emus pot belly pigs and more roam freely. My site was private and faced a pond. The bathroom was lovely. Recycling a plus! If I had been a young person looking to learn about taking care of animals and gardening, I would have stayed forever. But I am old, did all that already and it's time to go home.

The bathroom is falling apart. Rotten egg smelling water. Cob webs dirty. The animals were nice but the farm is not up kept. We only stayed for one night and checked out early.

We loved our stay! It was a quick overnight on a long road trip but the animal sanctuary caught our attention! You do need to make sure you have clear expectations. It's not a typical campground. The family home is part of it and the bathroom and shower are separate but attached to the main home. Each camp site it private and have a couple different options for amenities depending what you are looking for. From primitive camp to tent provided! There is an extra sink, counter and microwave accessible as well. The animals are all over. The dogs are sooooo sweet and lovey. There are goats, emus, turkeys, chickens, roosters, peacocks, horses, cats, dogs. We did arrive late at night it was dark and despite the very clear instructions for arrival we struggled finding the camp spots. The hosts responded quickly and guided us to our options! It was an amazing experience. It was quiet peaceful and beautifully dark! We would definitely return!

Wonderful receptive hostess and family. The entire experience was amazing. Such beautiful property and an extremely peaceful place. I loved all of the free range animal connections, too. The process of reserving the place and confirming was efficient. I would definitely recommend this place. One of my fave places, ever...and I am a road warrior...have camped my way across the US, multiple times, as well as AK an CA

Wonderful place to see a plethora of animals and a beautiful Bayou! The new addition to the bathroom and shower and kitchen area is wonderful. A wonderful place to get back to nature and a lovely family and animals to support.

It was good for value but nothing exciting. Kids loved the animals roaming everywhere but the RV powered sites are right at the entrance of the property, little charm. There is only one 30 Amp outlet so if the other site is using it, bad luck. There is no water connecting near by either, hoses are available from the house but we did not feel comfortable to get a use them. Host did not respond to any of our messages via Hipcamp and when we arrived and called to know where to go, the phone line was disconnected. So we had to go knocking. We did not feel welcome really. Price was good though and it might be an oasis (as describe) when camping a little more in but from the site we had, it was just a parking spot.
