Red River Rewind is a small glamping community that is themed off of the owner’s passion for different genre music, vintage, antique history and memorabilia. Currently still a work in progress, we offer a customized bell tent which sits on a 20 x 30 platform deck, with a customized, insulated, fully functioning outhouse which has a shower, commode, and sink that allows endless hot water. “Elvira” is our cozy small cabin. Both have electricity, and water, and full bathroom accessibility at their own site. “Hey Jude” also offers a small wood burning stove to accommodate for cooler temperatures with an Eden pure heater, and fans for warmer weather days, and mobile AC. ELVIRA has a window AC unit and heating with small unit. The customized fully furnished bathroom just steps away from the tent, offers endless hot water. There is also a water spicket just a few steps away from the deck. Note that should the wood stove want to be used, guests need to supply their own SMALL pieces of wood as it is a miniature fireplace. The cabin will be designed with a mini split heating and air system, in the future. WiFi is not currently available though an amenity that is upcoming in the very near future, fiber internet being installed mid July 2025. Cell phone access is good in our area typically. Red River Rewind has common shared amenities to include: a 3/4 acre fully stocked pond which is available for simply viewing its beauty as the fountain flows, or catch and release fishing as seasonally available, many family and friend oriented activities to choose from to check out and return such as cornhole, large checkers, and many more. As time and weather permits, we plan to expand with really neat projects and extras in upcoming months, and would love to have visitors passing through our beautiful area who need or want a place to stay or locals who just want a little change of scenery. We are simple, ordinary people who just want to share some of the things we love about life with others. On a clear note, there are beautiful images of the stars here. You will also have accessibility to a telescope.

Hey Jude is a canvas bell tent that has a queen bed, there is also a camping twin bed is available for use if needed to fold out. There is a mini fridge, mini microwave, mini keurig with pods, other kitchenware, a small tv with vcr, radio, antique chest with games and puzzles and books all for guest use. Themed on owner’s love and passion of outdoor, nature, simplicity, and past genres of music, entertainment, art, and history,, Hey Jude is a part of Red River Rewind (hence the name). We hope you enjoy what it offers as it remains in its beginning phase. You may fish (catch and release) as season permits in the 3/4 acre pond. Free roaming of site is permitted anywhere past the garage, to the back barn, and around property. There is a telescope available for star gazing at night as on a clear night this site has a beautiful view of the stars! Enjoy the outside swing over by the pond to relax. It is outside, and there are bugs, potentially snakes, occasional cyotes yelling at night, and even black bears that have been known to roam in this area. Always be aware and never leave any food unattended. Your safety is very important to us.

Red River Rewind- Elvira

Elvira is a small, cozy, glamping cottage that is nestled up beside our back red barn. It overlooks trees and the stocked pond with a flowing fountain. The cottage is customized by owners with vintage decor, and themed with memorabilia from when owner was growing up with different forms of entertainment ranging from VHS, record player, books, magazines, cds, DVDS, etc. Favorites are there for guests to enjoy. We are simple and wish to share our small piece of land with guests who are looking to get away from fast paced busy life, who may be traveling through the Red River Gorge, or even locals who want a different place to stay. The bathroom is a customized chicken coop (never used as one lol), with endless hot water for shower and sink. A commode will be added when septic is installed. A custom compost toilet in progress also. Currently, Elvira, hosts a nice, clean, private, portajohn available to its guests. There is a mini fridge, mini keurig, mini microwave, and many other amenities. There are games and other shared outdoor activities coming. There is a telescope for guests to view some of the most beautiful starry nights on clear evenings. A fire pit is present. A picnic table will be added eventually. We are working to restore the old red barn and work on tree removal and ditch repair from recent storm damage- disclaimer. Fishing is allowed - currently only catch and release until next year. Fully stocked last summer with bass, bluegill, and catfish. This rental offers multiple local artist paintings and a book, that owner has had since early 20s. Rewind and enjoy!

Glamping with the animals
Red River Rewind- Hey Jude
We loved our tent camping experience on Sarah's land. She was super responsive on any questions we had. There were a ton of little touches in the glamping tent that made it so nice, like games, extra blankets, extra toiletries, a mini fridge and a microwave. Being able to see the animals each day and having such a picturesque area was great. It was very peaceful.

This property and the owner's were above and beyond amazing! Perfect little escape from the world, with great people! Hey Jude was not only the perfect blast from the past, but it was comfortable, very relaxing, with SO much to offer and enjoy! Can NOT wait to go back!

If you love the 80’s

Absolutely fabulous hosts, one of the coolest places I’ve had the pleasure of staying with on hipcamp, so very clean and well prepared for guests. She thought of everything and put her heart into all the details. This will be one of my favorites on my list. Thanks again to Sarah & her husband for sharing their journey with us through HipCamp

Red River Rewind- Hey Jude
My son and I stayed at the glamping tent Hey Jude and honestly I can not say enough good things about it. The tent was comfortable, well lit and loaded with nostalgia from my past that made me feel like I had travelled back in time. It was well decorated and defined the word cozy. Explaining VHS to a 10 year old was quite fun. The tent was very well put together and on a nice wooden deck with great lighting. A telescope was in the tent that you could use to stargaze. It really was a wonderful stay, well thought out and seeing as they are already working on another site this is going to be a place that I will want to visit often. The owner was so communicative and answered all my questions even leaving some fish food for my son to feed the fish in the pond. This is a five star stay and one of the best I have ever been at with Hipcamp. Great job Sarah.

The land is beautiful and the tent is incredibly cozy! There is clearly so much attention to detail with all of the decor. Altogether a great spot :)
