The Fence Post is conveniently located right off highway 29. It was a perfect spot to post up for the night on my journey across the US. There is a nice field right in front of the parking spot. A few reviews mention highway noise. You can hear it but it didn’t feel bothersome and with a fan on, I couldn’t hear it at all.
I would stay here again!

Kathy’s Fence Post was safe and easy to hook up. Very quiet and great for a stop along a trip. She also had great recommendations for additional stops on my trip. I highly recommend the fence post if you are looking to stay a night or two.

Quiet little spot along the highway. We did not find it loud, rather we had a very peaceful night. Kathy was responsive and let us know exactly what we needed to pull right in and settle for the evening. One of the campers came and checked on us as well. The only issue is the water is very high in iron, and even with our 3 stage filter we found it unsuitable for use. Otherwise, great spot for a layover!!

Great site. Fairly level. Right off the highway. Only downside was the water pressure was pretty low. Host said was probably because they had well water. Otherwise great stay

The site was good, the campground is very close to the interstate and easy to find.
The arrival instructions were unclear. They stated "on arrival, go directly to site." The campground is gated closed and I needed to call to get instructions to get in, as well as get instructions for the bathroom.
The bathroom was missing most of the necessary supplies.

This was our 2nd time at this location. It is conveniently located. The location though, is quite loud if you aren’t running ac. The host was friendly & accommodating.

We basically had the entire place to ourselves. This is an actual campground with yearly dues. We were there at the beginning of June (midwwek) and only saw 3 cars drive through. It was very convenient to the highway and Kathy was helpful and quick to reply to all my questions.

Easy access right off the dual carriage way. Kathy was friendly and very accommodating when I messed up the booking. There is a big bit of grass that our dog loved and we had full hook up. Safe and friendly neighbors.

This site was exactly as described. We were traveling through and it made a great stop for the night, and we were on our way the next day. We would have loved it if the Fence Post restaurant had been open for business during our stay! Seemed like a perfect little local joint to get a burger!

We stopped there for the night on our road trip. It was closed for the season, even though the water was turned off, the host accommodated us. There was a field to set-up and it was quiet. During the season it would of been a great stop.

Kathy’s land provided a flat space with electricity for us in a space with limited options! The water was already turned off for the season but she let us know as soon as we booked with plenty of notice. I was confused on how to pull in and she promptly answered the phone and helped me through it! There is highway noise but we found the location extremely convenient after a long days drive.

On the road pushing hard to put some miles behind us. Had a really late check in. Owner was super understanding and accommodating. The property was very clean and tidy. Yard area for tents was great dry and level and not full of rocks or roots. Bathrooms were very clean. One of the best things was it was super close on and off the highway so easy to find. Road noise was minimal at night. It’s definitely on my list of places to stop again if I’m in the area. Very affordable.

This place was absolutely beautiful. We were sleeping in our car but we’re kindly offered a tent and even to stay in the place upstairs being converted into an AirBnB - truly wonderful people everywhere. The bathroom was clean and we made a fire and enjoyed the peaceful evening. It felt safe and was clean and tidy, and Kathy’s communication was great when I called to ask a question about the bathroom. We’d happily stay here again.

Kathy had great and prompt communication. We were met by Oliver who was so nice and made sure I had everything I needed. The site is gravel with a big grassy area all around. No shade on the pad but trees on the grassy area. Price is great for full hookups! Kathy was so friendly and welcoming. Great place for an overnight stay!

We enjoyed our two night stay on Kathy's property. All of the hook-ups worked just fine. The place is easy to find and Kathy is super helpful. The pad is gravel and pretty level. We stayed on the property the whole time but there were a decent amount of parks around the area. The spot is located in a member only campground. It's a very nice campground and everyone here is super nice. We'd stay again if we are every passing through. Kathy and her friends even invited us over for a great dinner!

I ended up not camping here after all. The photos and description of it that Kathy provided are very accurate, and when I arrived I was satisfied with the spot. It’s easy to find right off the highway, and as a woman traveling alone, it felt safe. Unfortunately there was a mix-up in communication between Kathy and me which led me to believe that there may not have been a bathroom available to me. I wasn’t able to get in touch with Kathy right away on arrival to ask her about it and I was in urgent need of a bathroom! Kathy responded to my message within a half hour or so, but by then, I was on my way to another nearby campground. Kathy was very gracious about giving me a prompt refund at the last minute due to the mix-up, which I appreciated very much.

Have had a great stay for about a month at the RV site near the Fence Post. Kathy provided absolutely excellent communication. She was very responsive to requests and questions. I stayed in the fall after water had been shut off most places in the campground, but Kathy provided me with a place to get water and it all worked out. Great 50 amp electrical hookup with no problems. Awesome hiking in Loess hills that is just a few minutes away. I would definitely recommend this site.
