Guests could enjoy a variety of water activities, including a steam launch named the “White Plume,” sailboats, rowboats, and canoes, all set against the backdrop of a sandy beach ideal for swimming. The ship “Export” provided convenient transportation, making stops at Minne Estema while traveling between Waterloo and Cedar Rapids. Affordability was a hallmark of this resort, with a weeklong stay, including room and board, priced at just $5.00, while a single day’s visit cost only $1.00. For those spending Sundays at the resort, a delicious dinner was served for a mere 50 cents.
