If you love farm animals like bunnies, chickens and horses this is the right place. It's not the kind of woodsy, in the wilderness kind of camping you might normally think of. But if you are not as much of a rustic camper, this is a good place for you. It was definitely nice to have access to clean water and flushing toilets!

I was in and out quickly, really just staying for somewhere safe and quiet to sleep overnight. The farm was clean and the family was nice.

We actually ended up staying at site 5. It was very nice. About an hour from Indiana Dunes National Park. There are horses, bunnies, pigs, and chickens around on the farm. The main downside is the roosters crowing. There is a bathroom in the barn. There is a cowboy shower in the barn.

We didn’t get to go on a trail ride due to weather conditions but we had an amazing experience.
We were able to meet horses, chickens, bunnies, ducks, and potbelly pigs. We were also invited to pet one of the pigs. Waking up to a rooster was a unique and wonderful way to start our day!
A short ride to a drive-in theatre or a minor league baseball game. You just need weather to agree.

Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience. After having the booking approved the host didn’t connect with us at all or pass along contact information. When we arrived, the only person there was a family member that didn’t really know anything. The toilet is located inside the tack room. The “shower” is in the middle of the barn aisle. I think it would be better to not even mention having a shower. The grounds themeselves were pretty and the animals were lovely. I would recommend better communication and being more upfront about the location of the toilet and shower.

We had a great time at The Riding Stable and Resort. The kids loved the animals and running around the property. We also booked a horse trail ride for the kids (5 and 6), they had a blast.

Wonderful Farm Camping for the family! Pigs, horses, bunnies, chickens and ducks all around a beautiful natural setting. Kids loved it and will be back again for sure!

Lovely homestead and farm close enough to the city for convenience but in the quiet countryside. We loved all the animals and being sung to by the rooster although it was a tad early. My recommendation is to improve the bathroom / shower situation. It will take a little capital but then you can justify what you’re charging or possibly charge more. The area outside the bathroom needs to be kept up immediately after a horse pie is served. It was unsanitary and I feel there’s no excuse.

It's a very picturesque working farm with chickens, goats, pigs, horses and rabbits in every direction. My teen boy loved it. It's also comfortable to have a flush toilet, shower, a picnic table and potable water close at hand. Anette is very conscientious and left firewood in the pit. I loved the smell of elderberry flowers blooming but that was a stroke of perfect timing. The grounds are beautiful for a stroll and Potato Creek State Park is a worthwhile destination for hiking and fishing, etc., only a few minutes drive away.

Great spot to pitch a tent and enjoy all the farm animals! Anette had wood ready to go in the fire pit, showed us our spot and gave us a quick tour to see the animals. We were even able to ride the horses around the property. Great stay!

Annette was so helpful during our stay! There was some nasty weather predicted the night of our stay and she made accommodations for us so we wouldn't get caught in a storm.
The property is lovely and it was so nice having all the animals around. The chickens are a riot. Loved watching them run around in the yard. The dogs are so sweet also. Say hi to Zoe... she's the sweetest girl!

Our family of 4 had a wonderful time camping at the Riding Stable! We stayed at site 4, backing up to a the woods on the grass. There was a nice fire ring and a picnic table as well. The kids loved seeing the horses, pigs, rabbits, ducks and chickens. The highlight of our trip was our riding lessons and horseback ride! We were able to groom our horses beforehand. Also, Anette was so accommodating with us arriving a week earlier than we booked (our mistake!) and let us camp anyway. We will definitely be back!

We stayed at site 4, close to the fire pit and backing up to the forest. The host and her kids were amazing at showing us around and my own kids were able to go horseback riding and visit the other animals on the property. My daughters can’t wait to go back. For the adults, worth noting it’s a rural area but with neighbors and cars you do occasionally hear, and the camp sites aren’t fully private unless you pick the forest site (which is great for a couple but too small for larger groups). The bathroom and sink are in the barn and very clean and kept up — a nice plus!

We really enjoyed our stay at the farm, 5 kids camping for 3 nights, slept by the pigs and horses, kids loved it! Had a great horseback ride and really enjoyed the farm, will stay again!

We stayed over night for the 4th of July! The perfect amount of quiet and festivities! The horses, hospitality, and nature were just what we might have hoped for, a walk through the barn and into the wooded trails then onto a campfire where we toasted marshmallows and relaxed until bed. Lovely visit.

We stayed in camp site #2, which had a fire pit, picnic table, and a garbage bin nearby—very convenient! We were also able to pull the car up near our spot to make loading and unloading easier.
It was fun to see the pigs, chickens, and ducks, which were near our camp. If you’re a light sleeper like me, I’d recommend bringing ear plugs since sometimes the animals made some noise throughout the night.
It was also convenient to have an indoor, clean bathroom, which is very luxurious compared to some other campsite amenities I’ve experienced.
It was a fun and unique camping experience. It was also about eight or ten miles away from South Bend, so it was just isolated enough but not completely out in the middle of nowhere.

A real farm experience! You'll be right with the pigs, horses and chickens. My kids loved it. Bathroom available too, which is a huge perk. Plenty of firewood for fires and ghost stories.

This was our first time using Hipcamp. It was nice that they were flexible with changing the location of where we were camping, as I didn’t realize space #3 was directly in their backyard. We never met Annette, but one of the children there was very helpful. We weren’t informed that we could have a campfire at our site, so I’m thankful the 2nd night we were told we could. And the last morning we stayed there, we were locked out of the bathroom for awhile as there was a friend of their family who had stayed the night in the bathroom.
It was a learning experience but it ended well.
