Established in the 1960s by the late Heather Killgore, Salmon River Resort has a rich history. Originally named Chief White Bird Motel, it evolved into Waterfront RV Park and Motel under the stewardship of Les and Heather Killgore, who also ran a successful fishing tackle shop on the property. In the early 2000s, the couple expanded their offerings by launching a jet boat tour company, further enhancing the adventure experience for their guests. After Heather's passing in 2018, their daughter, Kortney Killgore Smith, took over the family legacy, renaming the campground Salmon River Resort. With a commitment to honoring her mother's vision, Kortney continues to provide exceptional lodging and outdoor experiences. Guests can enjoy nearby natural features, swimming holes, and a variety of outdoor activities, along with access to local restaurants
