Pitch a Tent in Myrkwood Forest
We had a great time camping on Joe's land. He was super kind and hospitable, and the land is a good distance from Savannah: not too close and not too far. This campground is definitely for those who are used to adventuring off the beaten path, but if you're not too attached to your creature comforts and love a good deal, this is a great place to stay! Joe also makes a mean breakfast, and getting to hang with the goats was a lovely bonus.

Although I enjoyed my stay because the host Joseph is so cool and interesting and kind, the Hipcamp itself seems to be a work in progress project or not , hard to tell. The place has great potential but needs some loving and taking care of.

Would recommend
Great spot to pitch a tent. If you like hanging out with friendly goats Myrkwood has em all over. We used it as a place to sleep while we drove into Savannah and it worked great for that. Highly recommended for campers who like animals and don’t mind roughing it a little.

Would Highly Recommend
My friend and I had great time at Myrkwood! The hosts were really nice, and the site was super fun – there were tons of chickens, ducks and goats. Bathroom and shower were nice, and the outdoor kitchen with charging outlets was a huge plus.

An interesting place. Not quite what we expected lol. First impressions unkempt. Old hearses strewn among the grasses. Loaded trailers with rubbish. Signage not clear and on the day we arrived, electricity sparking with cables partly dug underground but not in any casing. We choose the timber deck to camp on. In case of rain. It was ample and private among the trees but then, there weren't any other campers lol. Showers aren't too private but they worked. Not 5 star. Bring your flip flops. The community kitchen required a good sort / clean out. We cooked at our tent with our own utensils. Be prepared for the chickens & roosters. Not forgetting goats and your usual snake. For us, we were extremely tired and it served as a place to sleep in our own space. The owner, a real nice guy for sure. He has a lot of work ahead to get it up to speed for return bookings I'd suggest. Had it been wet underfoot, I think we'd have moved on from our one night booking.

Great Value!
This is a really good value! Nice, forested tent spot with romantic outdoor shower, and fully-stocked, screen-enclosed outdoor kitchen. There are cute chickens and goats. Hosts are friendly and helpful

Good place to stay, hard to find
The site was just as the listing stated. For the price, we couldn’t have asked for a great place to spend the night in our way to our next destination. The host was friendly and gave us all the info we needed. The gps does not lead you to the exact location. Just type Myrkwood Farm in your maps to find the actual location

NO. Other reviews fake or outdated.
Hosts were nice and welcomed us when we arrived, but the place would overall be NOT recommended. The farmstead aspect is cool, but rooster going off from midnight onward, the truckers gearing up on the highway, ducks and goats respectively moving around as any normal animals would ultimately add up to a noisy environment that’s not relaxing. SERIOUS update of photos regarding the property needs to happen as well because there is a lot of trash lying around and some trashed trailers isn’t a good look. Privacy isn’t a thing here either as we are all within earshot of each other, and you can’t walk to your vehicle without passing by the open faced shower and long drop toilet. Composting toilets don’t stink when don’t correctly. This is a long drop outhouse. With the craftsmanship of other structures on the property, why is it that the two most privacy conscious spots weren’t built up the the standards of the rest of the structures? Watcher vibes is what you end up with. And the trailer adjacent to there is sketch.
NOT PET FRIENDLY. Dogs can’t even walk to the vehicle with us or anywhere beyond the 20 foot radius of the campsite and must be leashes at all times. Too much stress on the livestock, which is fine, but idk what dog owner would want their pets stuck at camp.
This could be cool, and the hosts definitely have the know-how to improve because what IS built is promising, but why it’s so garbage filled and non private is concerning.

Great people and great concept. The tent site was elevated and had a great view of rear wooded area.
Planes, trains and automobiles nearby so wear your ear plugs or ear buds.
The converted hearses creepy and funny at same time. Animals are cute! ~

Great spot!
Perfect lil forest spot just 30 sec walk from your vehicle on some land with a cool community of tiny houses. Super friendly dudes, they even chopped us some firewood and let us meet the goats. But note the GPS coordinates are wrong! They lead to a church not the farm. The farm is on the opposite side of the road a few seconds south. You can put Myrkwood forest in google maps so I’m not sure why the coordinates are even listed. Really enjoyed our stay here!

Spacious Tent in Myrkwood Forest
The guys were nice enough but we were supposed to have a tent ready for us but it wasn't. I let them know ahead of time that we were arriving that day and the time of arrival. I booked well in advance We just had to make it through the night to get on to our destination.
The alternatives given to us were less than adequate.
